Sarah Larson and George Clooney aren’t as perfect as they look.

While recovering from a motorcycle accident last year, the beauty says her and her beefcake were glued to marathons of VH1’s Rock of Love with Bret Michaels.

“We caught ourselves rooting for someone or getting frustrated,” Sarah told Harper’s Bazaar. “And we were like, ‘This is sad.’”

But now Larson has told People Magazine the HOW and the WHEN: she met Clooney a few years ago:

“It was on his birthday three or four years ago at Whiskey at [Vegas's] Green Valley Ranch,” the part-time model said.

At the time, Larson worked as a cocktail server at the venue, dating someone else, never thinking she’d end up with the world’s most eligible bachelor.

Then, when Clooney arrived in Vegas for the Ocean’s 13 premiere last summer, “he heard I was working at Moon [nightclub].”

The actor tracked her down, she says, and “we hung out.”

A month later, he invited her to go to Italy.

George Clooney - the nicest, most handsome and talented human being on the planet - recently went off on negative celebrity gossip outlets.

“A few years ago, I went to check out this website that someone had talked about. There’s like, a thousand people sitting in dark rooms trashing you. Brutal! You’re like, ‘Wow, dude,’” said Clooney, adding:

“You see way too many angry people [on the Internet]. I remember getting off the machine and thinking, ‘Never, ever again’. I’d rather live in my own happy, quiet world where I think that everyone is nice.”

Might Sarah Larson really be the woman who ends George Clooney’s reign as the World’s Most Handsome, Eligible Bachelor?

The former Fear Factor contestant has the proper mix of a nurturing soul and liberal politics to do just that, according to her serious ex-boyfriend.

Tommy McKaughn, Larson’s boyfriend of six years before they split up after college at Evergreen State, tells E! News that she was a free-spirited hippie chick, devoted to playing bongos and performing exotic dances of India.

“She’s not star struck and I bet he really likes that about her,” McKaughn said about his ex. “She was a hippie chick but high maintenance at the same time.

McKaughn added that Sarah was a major grudge holder, as he forgot her birthday once, so she confiscated his Jerry Garcia CDs… three years after the fact!

We can’t see Clooney making the same mistake, however. The guy is perfect.

George Clooney may not have taken home the Academy Award for Best Actor last night, but the handsome, charitable star was obviously a winner nonetheless.

George Clooney says he won’t beat out Daniel Day-Lewis for Best Actor at Sunday’s Academy Awards, drawing a political analogy.

“For me, it’s like being Hillary Clinton,” the Michael Clayton star said. “If it weren’t for Barack Obama, it would have been a very good year.”

“I thought Daniel Day-Lewis had the best performance of the year.”

Apart from his own race, the boyfriend of Sarah Larson handicapped all the other major categories, boasting to Time Magazine that he’s never lost an Oscar pool. We’ll see how accurate his picks are Sunday, February 24.

George Clooney did not say if he prefers Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama, choosing instead to discuss his recent film, Best Picture nominee Michael Clayton.

“Our film is the best it can be in that genre,” he says of its Oscar chances, “but there’s a ceiling on that genre.”

Instead, Clooney predicts that No Country for Old Men will take the top prize, and its directors Joel and Ethan Coen will nab the Best Director trophy. He also gives a nod to Javier Bardem as Best Supporting Actor.

“If [Michael Clayton] has a shot at anything, it’s Best Supporting Actress with Tilda Swinton,” he says - although George Clooney officially made Amy Ryan, from Gone Baby Gone, his pick in that category.

The actor was also impressed by La Vie En Rose’s Marion Cotillard.

“She does an old person trying to be young, instead of what everyone does - a young person trying to be old,” he says. “It’s a stunning performance.”

No, not the question. George Clooney and Sarah Larson aren’t going all Nicolas Sarkozy and Carla Bruni on us. Not yet, at least.

But the Michael Clayton star has asked his 29-year old girlfriend join him in his Hollywood Hills home. We’re guessing she can’t possibly say no to George, but the location of the house may be a problem: it’s next door to Britney Spears’!

A source close to the actor said:

“Sarah is always with George anyway, so it just makes sense. Plus he likes having her around. She has made him very happy and doesn’t stress him out. She’s easygoing and loving, and that’s what he needs right now.”
