Former political figure/celeb Sarah Palin stopped by a lucky Chick-fil-A restaurant Friday to "support a great business" slash their anti-gay marriage views.

Palin Tweeted and Facebooked a picture of herself, former Alaska First Dude Todd Palin, at Chick-fil-A, looking happy to be at the Houston-area spot.

"Stopped by Chick-fil-A in The Woodlands to support a great business," is her caption, no doubt in support of Chick-fil-A's anti-gay marriage stance.

Sarah Palin, Chick-fil-A

To be clear, Chick-fil-A's founders have a right to their opinions, and by visiting there and posting the photo above, Sarah's exercising that same right.

Freedom of speech. Great stuff. But to be equally clear, Palin is quite obviously using it to imply her distaste for gay rights without overtly saying so.

Way to be cowardly - chicken if you will - in your bigotry, Sarah. At least pull a Mike Huckabee and declare a full-on Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.

Ed Helms, Miley Cyrus, Lindsay Lohan, Kim Kardashian and others have called for a Chick-fil-A boycott, while Boston banned the restaurant from the city.

Where do you stand on the calls to boycott the chain?

When it comes to its beef with actor Ed Helms, Chick-fil-A is not playing chicken.

The company has issued an immediate response to The Office star's recent Tweet, which took Chick-fil-A to task for its President admitting he is opposed to gay marriage.

Helms Art

"The Chick-fil-A culture and service tradition in our restaurants is to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect - regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender," the statement reads.

"We will continue this tradition in the over 1,600 restaurants run by independent Owner/Operators. Going forward, our intent is to leave the policy debate over same-sex marriage to the government and political arena."

This controversy erupted after Helms responded to Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy telling the press his company operated on "biblical principles" and, as a result of such a public stance, Chick-fil-A has lost him as a customer.

What do you think of Helms threatening a boycott?

Ed Helms is hilarious in The Hangover and on The Office.

But the actor does not take the stance of Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy as a laughing matter.

In a recent interview with a Christian publication, Cathy said his company is "guilty as charged" when it comes to accusations that it is opposed to gay marriage, adding that Chick-fil-A supports the "biblical definition of the family unit."

That is the company's right, of course, and it's led to Helms exercise his own right.

"Chick-Fil-A doesn't like gay people? So lame," Helms Tweeted yesterday. "Hate to think what they do to the gay chickens! Lost a loyal fan."

Helms is not alone in his stance. Many associated with NOH8 - such as Miley Cyrus, Lindsay Lohan and Kim Kardashian - have also called for a Chick-fil-A boycott.

Where do you stand on Helms' decision to boycott the restaurant?

When you have body dysmorphic disorder, you intensely obsess over your appearance and body image, often for many hours a day, and may feel very depressed or even suicidal, according to an eye-opening new study.

People who restrict how much they eat because they have body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), may be at higher risk of taking their own lives.

Researchers say restricting food intake because of BDD is linked with double the risk of suicide. In short, body image issues can kill you.

Disorders

"Significantly limiting food intake can be physically painful," study researcher Dr. Katharine A. Phillips, M.D., of Rhode Island Hospital, said.

"It goes against our natural instincts to feed our bodies and people may respond to the physical pain that comes with extreme hunger."

"The results of this study suggest the importance of assessing individuals with BDD for restrictive eating behaviors to identify suicide risk, even if they haven't previously been diagnosed with an eating disorder."

While Rush Limbaugh mocks Barack Kardashian, the First Lady of the U.S. is staying out of the political fray and focusing on her new book about gardening.

Michelle Obama, who's been promoting her new book about the White House garden and healthy eating, appeared on the Late Show With David Letterman.

Here are her "Top Ten Fun Facts About Gardening" from Tuesday ...

  1. Gardening was invented in 1822 by Albert Gardener.
  2. Plant avocados, tomatoes, onions and cilantro together and grow a guacamole tree.
  3. Eggplants were originally cultivated for use as doorstops.
  4. In his lifetime, the average American will eat half a radish.
  5. The largest zucchini ever grown contained a Starbucks.
  6. Later this year the Supreme Court will finally rule on "tomato" vs. "tomahto."
  7. If you have an actual green thumb, it might be scurvy.
  8. Lettuce is 96 percent water and 4 percent lettuce.
  9. The White House tool shed contains shovels, trowels and Weed Whacker One.
  10. With enough care and effort you can grow your own Barack-oli.

Her campaign for home-grown diets and to fight obesity has already shown progress. Earlier this year, Michelle even got Jay Leno to eat vegetables. Not a small feat.

Ryan Hart, a 14-year-old Michigan resident, treated himself to a yummy Arby's roast beef sandwich the other day, only to discover a human finger in it.

"I was like, 'that's got to be a finger,'" the teen said. "It was just nasty."

In related news, Arby's is still a chain? You learn something every day.

Arby's

Following the gruesome discovery, the boy was "traumatized," couldn't eat or sleep, and has been prescribed medication, Fox News reports.

Reportedly, an employee cut off her finger with a meat slicer while preparing the meal, went to the emergency room and didn't tell anybody.

Her co-workers, unaware of the injury, continued to complete the order.

John Gray, Arby's V.P. of communications, profusely apologized for the "isolated" incident and sought to reassure customers that this was, well, isolated.

That's little solace to the victim, or his incredulous family.

"A human being loses a finger and you just keep on sending food out the window," said the teen's mom, Jamie Vail. "I can't believe that."

Why no, Jamiet? Makes perfect sense to THG.

This is worse than that Chris Brown superhero cartoon.

A Watkinsville, Ga., steakhouse is feeling serious heat after promoting its "black and bleu" ribeye sandwich as being inspired by Chris Brown's beatdown of Rihanna.

We kid not, they really promoted the thing that way.

Chops & Hops put up a notice last week on the eatery's Facebook and Twitter pages announcing the newly-created sandwich, available for one day only.

Burger Chris-Rih

A heavy dose of ribeye topped with blue cheese, sliced tomato, "silver Lamborghini" onions and shredded romaine. The restaurant's posting said:

"@chrisbrown, @rihanna and us teamed up for an award winning sandwich ... Chris won't beat you up for eating this unless your name starts with a R and ends with A."

Mmmyeah. Shockingly, some customers weren't fans.

Considering Rihanna was assaulted in a Lamborghini, to the point where she sustained felony-worthy black and blue bruises, probably not the best PR stunt.

Not that Richard Miley is apologizing. On the contrary!

Apparently Alicia Silverstone chews food and regurgitates it into her 10-month-old son's mouth to nourish him. We know because she posted a video of this.

Alicia posted the video on her blog this weekend - well played once again, Internet - claiming it's her "favorite" way to feed her son Bear Blu (his real name).

"He literally crawls across the room to attack my mouth if I’m eating," she says, without offering an explanation of why she engages in this behavior. Enjoy:

Is Alicia just trying to spare Bear Blu the arduous task of chewing? Does she believe there is some other health benefit to this? We may never know.

As for what they're eating, Alicia's a staunch vegan and is raising her son to be too, so we're guessing it's some delish soy tofu thing PETA hearts her for.

Paula Deen says that the former general manager of her restaurant who's suing for sexual harassment tried to extort her by demanding a seven figure sum.

If she failed to put up, Deen says she was told she'd face "ruin."

Paula's responding to a lawsuit filed against her and her brother Bubba Heirs by Lisa Jackson, former G.M. of Uncle Bubba's Seafood and Oyster House.

Deen cited a letter from Lisa's lawyer, who wrote bluntly that Lisa would shut up and not file the lawsuit against Paula if she forked over $1.25 million.

Paula Deen and The Situation

Paula Deen with The Situation, who has nothing to do with this article.

Lisa's lawyer adds, "If we are unable to settle, the complaint will not be quietly filed. I am making arrangements for a press conference on the day of filing."

Paula is asking for a gag order in the case, prohibiting everyone in the case from blabbing to the media ... which clearly hasn't been the case up until now.

Paula's lawyer says Lisa's strategy is clear: "Pay or I will ruin you."

Lisa claims Bubba engaged in a campaign of terror, subjecting her to porn, kissing and spitting on her, making racist and sexist jokes, and on and on.

Paula denies all of Lisa's allegations, and says that just before she quit, Lisa praised Bubba and told Paula how he helped her become independent.

Attorneys for Paula Deen said that the former worker suing for sexual harassment and being subjected to a hostile work environment is making false allegations.

Deen's camp says Lisa Jackson only made the claims after rebuffing attempts to resolve the matter amicably, and after the chef refused to pay her to keep quiet.

The lawsuit, filed Monday, "makes false allegations against Paula Deen and they will be proven false in court," said a statement from the firm representing Deen.

Deen

The law firm said the suit was filed in a local court after the Southern cooking star and Type 2 diabetic refused to pay the woman to "address false claims."

Attorneys for Jackson, a former general manager at the restaurant, didn't immediately respond to an email seeking comment regarding Deen's rebuttal.

Jackson said her doctor encouraged her to quit managing Uncle Bubba's Seafood and Oyster House in Savannah, Ga., due to panic attacks and other stress.

The restaurant is owned by Paula Deen and her brother Bubba Hiers.

Jackson, who is white, said in the lawsuit that Hiers routinely made inappropriate sexual remarks and that she heard Heirs and Deen using racial slurs.
