Thanks to this new Facebook application, you can plan it out. "If I Die" enables you to craft a video or a text message that will be published only after ... you know.

All you have to do is download the app, write or record a farewell, designate one or more "Facebook trustees" and bada-bing. You're prepared if a piano falls on your head.

Jon Bon Jovi Dead? No, Singer Helpfully Proves

Jon Bon Jovi may be wanted dead or alive ... but he's not the former.

He may sing about goin' down in a blaze of glory, but he has not yet.

We're here all day. Despite rumors that Bon Jovi is dead, we are happy to report that he has not been shot through the heart. He's still living ... and not even on a prayer.

As the rumors of Bon Jovi's death began circulating online last night, the rocker must've heard them, because he posted photo of himself in front of a Christmas tree.

Holding a sign that reads "Heaven looks a lot like New Jersey," with the current date and time, he gave a shout out to his home state while proving he's alive. Classic.

The rumor originated when some lame gossip site reproduced a 2009 L.A. Times story announcing the death of Michael Jackson and just put Jon Bon's name in there.

Bon Jovi's friend, David Bergman, posted the above pic on the band's Facebook page with the caption that Bon Jovi "is alive and well." Death hoax? Foiled, hilariously.

Kim Jong Il died for real though. That happened.

Signs you're taking Facebook a bit too seriously: You SET SOMEONE'S HOUSE ON FIRE after a dispute resulting in being unfriended on the social networking site.

Nikki Rasmussen of Des Moines, Iowa, and her husband were fast asleep the other night when Jennifer Christine Harris set their garage ablaze and peaced out.

The fire thankfully woke the pair, who managed to escape as the siding on their house melted. Yes, this all happened because of an argument on Facebook.

Nikki's husband Jim told the police that the two women had been engaged in a petty, catty battle via the website and just recently, Nikki unfriended Jen.

Big mistake. Police Det. Jack Kamerick said: “Things were posted on Facebook. Jen asked Nikki to create an event on Facebook for a party. Nikki did that."

"As the date for the party approached “there were a lot of ‘declines,’ on Facebook, the detective said. It was looking like the party might be a bust."

"The dispute apparently blossomed from there. So when the garage went up in flames, Harris became the first name that occurred to the victims."

Kim Kardashian should keep this in mind when she unfriends Kris Humphries.

Frances Bean Cobain: Engaged to Isaiah Silva?

Is Frances Bean Cobain engaged?

The 19-year-old daughter of Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain has been dating Isaiah Silva for more than a year. He's in an L.A.-based band, the Rambles.

The engagement rumors started after both quietly changed their Facebook relationship status to engaged a few weeks ago, according to the OC Weekly. Hooray!

A source confirms their happy news of Cobain's engagement to People, as well. However, they have since changed their statuses back, so ... that's something.

Another source tells Us the engagement is still on, though. So who knows.

According to the report, the couple both use fake names on Facebook – she goes by Frances Rachel Leigh Cook, while he uses Isaiah David Berkowitz-Cusack.

Their Facebook pages show comments that hint at an engagement.

"Getting to spend the rest of my life loving my best friend makes me the luckiest woman in the world," Frances Bean Cobain wrote at one point of Isaiah Silva.

Cobain, who was just 20 months old when she lost her dad, has had a whirlwind of an upbringing to say the least. Here's hoping she's happy, engaged or not.

Facebook Apologizes to Courtney Stodden, Reinstates Fan Pages

Facebook is very, very sorry.

The company has issued an apology to Courtney Stodden and reinstated her access after it had denied it for "inappropriate sexual conduct," a fact that became public once her mother said Courtney is too sexy for Mark Zuckerberg's creation.

"This page was removed in error and has been restored," Facebook said in a statement to E! News. "We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused."

Inconvenience?!? The situation gave Stodden's mom yet another chance to make headlines. She'll probably send Facebook a muffin basket.

"We're happy that it was finally addressed, as I'm sure many others have dealt with similar abuse and didn't know they could do anything about it," Keller says, once again comparing this incident to actual bullying: "Putting a stop to cyber bullying is something Courtney is very involved in. She's happy something was done!"

Lady Gaga Death Rumor: A Giant Hoax

Given her massive fan base and given that she is seemingly everywhere, it's not too big of a shock that Lady Gaga would be the subject of a celebrity death hoax.

However, for the same reasons, it was easy to establish that this was not the case, unlike with someone who's a little more off the radar (say, Spencer Pratt).

An online scam claims Lady Gaga was found dead in a hotel room. Not the case, but at least the hoax-spreaders went for the traditional celebrity die-off situation.

Some enterprising cyber-criminals are, for some reason, spreading the following headline via Facebook: "BREAKING: Lady Gaga Found Dead in Hotel Room."

It links to a BBC News story and a description reading "This is the most awful day in US history." If you click the link, you end up on a fake BBC spam site.

We got out of there real quick, but the bottom line is that Facebook scammers are trying to pilfer you to "Like" stuff and earn a commission. Simply pathetic.

Mother Monster is alive and well, we assure you - the singer was seen cheering on her hometown New York Giants at stupidly-named MetLife Stadium Monday.

New York won, 28-16, as St. Louis may suck more than Facebook spammers.

New Missouri Law Bans Student-Teacher Facebook Friendships

Can you really ban students and teachers from being Facebook friends?

We'll soon find out in Missouri. According to Missouri Senate Bill 54, which goes into effect on August 28, any social networking - including, but not limited to, Facebook - between teachers and students is prohibited.

It’s all part of an effort to “more clearly define teacher-student boundaries.”

However, KSPR reports that it’s only direct social media contact that’s prohibited by Missouri's new law; teachers are still allowed to create Facebook pages where all students have direct access to the teacher in a more public setting.

Inappropriate contact between students and teachers is the root of the bill.

Senate Bill 54 is designed to protect children from sexual misconduct by teachers, compelling school districts to adopt written policies between teachers and students on electronic media, social networking and other communication.

In addition to the legalities - Will this new law pass a constitutional test? Who would step forward to challenge it? - you wonder how this will be policed.

Will officials now create Facebook accounts, personal computers or Internet service provider records to see who’s befriending teachers or students?

Inappropriate relationships will be hard to detect, especially since teachers and students engaged in them would likely be discreet anyway. Right?

Rihanna Dethrones Lady Gaga on Facebook

Lady Gaga may be the highest-earning, top-selling and best-known woman in popular music today, but Rihanna has more "Likes" on Facebook.

This week, Rihanna accumulated enough Facebook fans to surpass Gaga and claim the throne as the platform's top ranking female celebrity.

According to their Facebook stats, as of Saturday, Rihanna had 40,699,853 likes, and Lady Gaga had 40,611,908, giving RiRi a slight lead.

Of course, Gaga has her by close to five million fans on Twitter, so Rihanna can't lay claim to being the queen of all social media just yet.

Shakira is the diva with the third most Facebook followers. Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Shakira hold the No. 5, 6, and 8 positions overall.

Three men make the top 10: Eminem (No. 3, 43,367,713 likes), Michael Jackson (No. 7, 38,069,882), and Justin Bieber (No. 10, 33,035,903).

Upon winning the Best Female Athlete at the ESPY Awards last night for the second consecutive year, skier Lindsey Vonn took to the stage, thanked ESPN, her husband and her fans... and then asked Justin Bieber if he'd take a photo with her for Facebook.

Weston Cage and Nikki Williams: Expecting! Getting Divorced!

The roller coaster ride that is Weston Cage's life continues.

Nic's son made a couple of big announcements Wednesday:

His wife, Nikki Williams, is pregnant with his child!
He's filing for divorce.

Weston Cage, who has only been married since April, went to his Facebook page to break the news, saying, "Made my choice. getting divorced."

Their joint domestic violence arrest over the weekend may have factored into his decision somewhat. As for the whole pregnancy thing ...

Weston believes the news only backs his claim that he never laid a hand on Nikki before the two were both arrested following the melee.

Cage wrote, "Never hit my wife. why would i start abusing after she was positive after taking a pregnant-c test." That's quite the reveal.

Weston then added a cryptic message: "Have fun killing my child Breyan Prescott." Hopefully he gets the help he needs, and quickly.
