Mitt Romney was on the wrong end of the 2012 presidential election results.

Now, adding insult to injury, his Facebook numbers are dropping like mad.

Mitt Picture

A new site, DisappearingRomney (dot) com, tracks the GOP candidate's bleeding of "Likes" on the social media site - which once topped 800 per hour - in real time.

Two graphs, “Recent Like Count For Mitt Romney” and “Real Time Like Count for Mitt Romney,” illustrate Romney's downward trajectory as it happens.

12,041,819 people like Mitt Romney. Wait, 12,041,814 ... 12,041,811 ...

Barack and Michelle Obama Photo

Paula Asher, 18, was jailed for two days last week after a status update on Facebook about hitting another vehicle while driving under the influence. She posted, eloquently:

“My dumbass got a DUI and I hit a car LOL.”

The four people in the car she struck didn't sustain injuries and are all fine. Their parents were not fine with Asher's Facebooking, however, and contacted a local judge.

When the judge ordered Paula to delete that post, she refused, and was promptly given a two-day jail sentence for contempt of court. She later apologized, finally.

“I didn’t think ‘LOL’ would put me in jail,” Paula wrote.

What law the judge invokied when ordering Asher to delete her FB comment is unclear, but the teen faces charges with DUI and fleeing the scene of an accident.

She is due in court to answer both counts October 27.

What do you think? Jail over LOLing: A fair sentence?

A photo of a topless Mark Zuckerberg was leaked to the Internet today, fueling rumors that his privacy functions may have just failed epically,

That, or someone's gonna be getting unfriended by the CEO real fast.

The shirtless pic was only up briefly before being deleted, but a screen grab of it - with commentary - is making the online rounds. Pretty funny.

Here's Mark in the undated photo with some friends (presumably):

Mark Zuckerberg Shirtless

The photo of Zuckerberg topless first surfaced on image-sharing site Imgur.

The poster there claims it was "accidentally posted" by Boz, a.k.a. Facebook Director of Engineering Andrew Bosworth, who can be seen on the far right.

Boz allegedly took it down "seconds later," but on the Internet, that can be more than long enough for someone to see it and pass it along to others.

At least he looks like he's having a good time.

Eminem, Facebook King. The rapper has that title all to himself after surpassing 60 million "Likes" Wednesday, more than any other living person.

Rihanna and Lady Gaga, who each have huge social media followings of their own, are Liked by about 59.4 million and 53.5 million, respectively.

Despite the fact that fan interaction and writing in first person on Facebook is the #1 way to get shares and Likes, being famous trumps all.

On Eminem's Facebook page, the 39-year-old generally posts links to YouTube videos of his music and interviews, with little or no comment.

Eminem Pic

According to AppData, Eminem is close to nabbing more than 26,000 "Likes" each day, with Rihanna not far behind with 22,000 "Likes" per day.

Rihanna and Gaga's more engaged approach top Eminem in the "talking about this" metric, however, which measures overall activity on a page.

Eminem has 290,896 people talking about him, while Rihanna has 1,016,304 and Lady Gaga has 1,209,588 ... that's a lot of Little Monsters.

When it comes to Twitter, however, Lady Gaga is the undisputed queen with more than 27 million followers. Justin Bieber has nearly 26 million.

P.S. Please Like THG on Facebook and help us catch Eminem! We're only like 59 million behind! Hey, 872,000 isn't too shabby people.

This could make family dinners a tad awkward.

Mark Zuckerberg's sister, Arielle, is now a Google employee, following the search engine giant's acquisition of Wildfire Interactive this week.

Arielle's blog lists her occupation as the junior product manager for the social media marketing firm. Here's a photo of Zuckerberg's sister:

Arielle previously offered constructive criticism of her brother's company's site, which just went public this summer, and its overhaul last fall.

Arielle's not the only Zuckerberg sibling in the business, either. Randi Zuckerberg, the former director of marketing for Facebook, left last August.

Randi Zuckerberg is now an executive producer for Silicon Valley, a Bravo show that is controversially bringing Hollywood voyeurism to tech.

Randi tweeted about Arielle's move on Tuesday, teasing Mark a bit in the process. The Zuckerberg siblings also have another sister, Donna.

Lowell Turpin confronted his girlfriend, allegedly with violence, over an alleged affair he felt she was having with a handsome man on Facebook.

The man Crystal Gray befriended - and whose photo was on her page - was actually presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

Suspicious that his live-in girlfriend was having an affair, the Tennessee man spotted the photo of an unknown guy and quickly became irate.

Lowell Turpin Mug Shot

A flustered Turpin, 40, “angrily demanded to know who the male was,” reported Anderson County (Tenn.) Sheriff’s Department investigators.

Gray, 38, “replied that it was a picture of Mitt Romney.”

Despite being informed that the man on Gray’s wall is the GOP candidate for President, and has 2,904,374 other friends, Turpin was not placated.

Gray said that her boyfriend “became upset because she was attempting to communicate with friends through her Facebook account.”

In a subsequent tussle over the laptop, Gray’s hand was injured as she unsuccessfully tried to stop Turpin form smashing the computer.

Gray told deputies that Turpin, pictured in the above mug shot, also punched her in the face during the encounter, which he denies.

In any case, he's in jail, and Romney sure is handsome.

San Diego Padres fan Travis Decker learned the hard way over the weekend that Facebook and baseball don't always mix. At least not live baseball.

He was struck hard by a foul ball in the upper deck of the right field stands at Petco Park while attempting to "check in" to the stadium on his phone.

Decker was too busy trying to update the universe that he was at Petco, he failed to pay attention to the exciting action at Petco. To his own detriment.

That's gotta hurt, but give Travis credit for being a good sport at least:

This is the second most embarrassing video to come out of America's Finest City in the past week, with the first being the epic San Diego fireworks fail.

Pull it together, SD!
