We are trying really hard to think of a good reason to post one of the Eva Longoria pictures we came across in Entertainment Weekly. But it's just not happening.

Yes, we'd love to tell you that she is driving a wedge between lovers and dancing partners Mario Lopez and Karina Smirnoff, or that she has decided to get freaky with Beyonce on screen after all. But alas, neither story has legs (unlike Eva)!

No, Eva and Beyonce are keeping it platonic, and Longoria is not dating the former Saved By the Bell star, and as far as we can tell, Mario and Karina are grateful for one another.

That leaves us with jack, but seriously now, who needs a reason to appreciate this hottie? Exactly. Just gaze in bewilderment at the talented Desperate Housewives star and stew in your abject jealous of Tony Parker.

Well, that rumor was fun while it lasted.

In light of numerous gossip rags telling Eva Longoria she'd be shooting a few lesbian scenes on screen with Beyonce Knowles, the Desperate Houswives had to come out and quell such talk.

"Stop the madness," Longoria said to People magazine about the false reports that she and Knowles will play a couple in an adaptation of Sarah Waters's love story Tipping the Velvet. "Believe me, I would love to work with Beyonce one day. She's so talented. But this is definitely not something we are doing together. It's completely and absolutely not true."

Longoria says the rumor started about a week ago â€" before she had ever even met Knowles. Many of the false reports also alleged that Sofia Coppola had been tapped to direct the film.

"Beyonce and I just did the L'Oreal event a couple of days ago and we were like, 'What is the deal?'" Longoria said. "What makes me crazy is that there are quotes out there, quotes from me saying it's true. But in fact it's not true. And (there are) quotes of Beyonce saying it's about time we had a female Brokeback Mountain. And we're like, we never said that."

The Hollywood Gossip pleads the fifth on printing such nonsense. We'd prefer to distract Eva by asking her about tonight's Dancing with the Stars finale and the chances of her friend, Mario Lopez.

Up next for Knowles, at least, is a starring role in the film Dreamgirls, which opens next month. It co-stars Eddie Murphy and Jamie Foxx.

When Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger swapped spit on screen in Brokeback Mountain, many viewers found it offensive or hilarious.

Call us crazy, but if rumors are two that a pair of beautiful women may be doing the same on screen in the near future, we doubt they'll receive the same sort of reactions.

Indeed, rumors are circulating that Beyonce Knowles and Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria may be pulling their own Jake and Heath, if director if Sofia Coppola has her way.

The lovely ladies are in talks to play the lead roles in a film version of Tipping the Velvet, the graphic Victorian tale of a love affair between a dance hall star (to be played by Knowles) and a fishmonger's daughter (Longoria).

"We've had Brokeback Mountain, so the time is right for this divine novel to get the same treatment," said Beyonce last week.

And Longoria confirmed that she's angling to do the movie. We're not sure how friend and possible lover, Mario Lopez, would feel about it, however. But it's probably the same as most other warm-blooded males:

That this is the best new since Britney Spears started being hot again.

We can forgive her for dressing like a cat with Mario Lopez. After all, it was Halloween.

But we're not sure what Eva Longoria was going for in this embroidered art class smock and long gloves ensemble this week. Looks like she was set to paint the town red.

Literally.

Longoria showed off her unusual fashion sense to attend a charity event at New York's American Museum of Natural History on Wednesday.

No matter what she wore, however, we suppose Eva felt better than her Desperate Housewives co-star.

Rumors of pictures of a naked Marcia Cross probaby have that actress just thankful someone else's clothes may draw attention away from her lackthereof.

And if that doesn't work, there's always the upcoming nude Mischa Barton sex scenes to help with that cause.

Just when rumors of their romance had quieted down, Mario Lopez and Eva Longoria have seemingly let the cats out of the bag again. So to speak.

Yes, that is the pair dressed as a couple of supposedly friendly felines for Halloween, but we have our questions:

• Where was Tony Parker?
• Where was Karina Smirnoff?
• Who actually dresses in as boring a costume as a cat these days?

It almost makes Leonardo DiCaprio seem creative with his outfit selection this year.

Meanwhile, in a battle of sordid Saved by the Bell alums, the Screech sex tape still trumps any dirty Slater shanningans. But we've got our eye on you, A.C. and Eva.

We've also got our eye on Matt Lauer. He looks incredibly similar to Johnny Depp in this Jack Sparrow costume. Now THAT's how you do Halloween!

Hey, they don't call Paris the "Romance Capital of the World" for nothing, folks. We're talking about the famous European city, of course -- not the oversexed, annoying, disease-ridden and utterly worthless Hilton sister.

Eva Longoria and Tony Parker, who had been going through a rough time in their otherwise storybook relationship lately, appear to have patched things up over the weekend in his native France... or have they? See below.

The two were seen sucking face at a popular French nightclub until the wee hours of the morning last week, but is Parker the man who's really on the mind of this sultry, desperate housewife? T.H. Gossip thinks she still may be pining for Mario Lopez. The guy was an amazing athlete back at Bayside High School.

And Karina Smirnoff. We can throw her into the mix, as well.

But let's start with Eva Longoria and the belief that her relationship with NBA star, Tony Parker, was history. Such thoughts may need to be re-written now.

Last weekend, Longoria flew to Paris to meet up with Parker.

"He begged her to come," says an insider. "He said he'll forgive her, but they need to talk it out."

Or solve their issues another way. While the pair were seen at a local Planet Hollywood bash, must of the trip was spent in Eva's hotel suite.

And you don't need to be as slutty as Lindsay Lohan to know what that means!

Meanwhile, no one knows for sure if anything happened between Longoria and long-time pal, Mario Lopez; who's also rumoroed to be romancing Smirnoff.

The busy actor's rep told Us Weekly:

"Where would he find the time to be with anyone, let alone two girls?"

Hey, don't doubt the multi-tasking, multi-thrusting abilities of A.C. Slater. He may not have reached Screech sex tape status yet, but the man did manage to play over a dozen sports in high school.

She looks nothing like Humpty Dumpty. And she didn't sit on a wall. But Eva Longoria has reportedly had a great fall.

A rep for the Desperate Housewives star relayed the following message:

Yesterday, Eva slipped on one of the stairs coming out of her trailer. She was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Burbank for X-rays. Nothing is broken, but her ribs are very bruised. She expects to return to work as scheduled.

Longoria's ego, of course, has also been bruised this week. She's been having problems with Tony Parker, although reports also state that she'll be flying to France to meet up with the NBA player and part-time beau in the near future.

In the meantime, the actress may or may not have been having lots of sex with long-time friend, Mario Lopez.

It's hard to know for sure. But during a time period when rock solid couple such as Brody Jenner and Nicole Richie can call it quits, it can be difficult to find your relationship footing in Hollywood.

We hope your ribs - and your heart - heals quickly, Eva. If it makes you feel any better, Travis Barker just broke his arm. That's gotta hurt.

Look, we're not ones to start random rumors (Editor's note: that's an outright lie), but what, exactly, what Eva Longoria doing at last night's edition of Dancing with the Stars?

Sure, Longoria claims she was there to cheer on an old friend, Mario Lopez.

But she also recently split from Tony Parker. As we recommend a sanity exam for the NBA star, we're left to wonder if there wasn't more to the timing of Longoria's appearance.

Arriving four minutes to show time, the Desperate Housewives actress was shuttled to her seat in the front row next to Lopez's mother. Since producers had banned clothes with messages of support for contestants, Longoria concealed her homemade black "Vote For Mario" tee under a tan blazer.

After the show, Lopez told People magazine:

"We were told that our families couldn't wear the t-shirts. I called (Eva) and told her and she said, 'Well, it's too late. I already made it and I'm wearing it.' And I said, 'Okay, but you're breaking the rules this week, not me!'"

Sounds flirtatious to us. Who cares if the former Saved by the Bell actor says "she's like a sister." With a Screech sex tape making the round, we don't know who to trust!

Of course, Lopez and partner, Karina Smirnoff, have been rumored to be dating. They deny it, however.

"[We're] a couple of nuts!" Lopez joked.

No, really, he said that.

Finally, in regard to their performance Tuesday, Smirnoff stated: "The music is from such a powerful movie, Desperado. We really aimed to be Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek tonight. I hope it came across."

"(Salma Hayek) wishes she looked as good as Karina did tonight," said Lopez.

Right. No way they're together.

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria reportedly dumped NBA star Tony Parker after learning he was getting close to an ex-girlfriend, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Longoria's representative did not comment on the rumored flirtatiousness, but confirmed on Friday that the couple is going through a difficult time.

According to the New York Post, the San Antonio Spurs guard was seen dirty dancing and cuddling with a blonde at the New York City club Marquee last week.

Parker was attending an after-party for the premiere of the film The Departed and started getting cozy with the woman in full view of celebs such as Leonard DiCaprio, Mick Jagger and Bono.

"Eva was devastated when she found out. The blonde was an ex-girlfriend of Tony's, and they apparently swapped numbers, but he swears nothing else happened," a source close to Longoria said. "Eva and Tony are talking right now, trying to work things out."

Now we weren't at the club or anything (sorry), but could it be that Parker was in a tough spot he couldn't get out of?

You know how it goes. He plays in the NBA. Women throw themselves at NBA players. It's gonna happen. Just saying.

T.H. Gossip won't condone the actions of Parker (after all, who lets Eva Longoria out of their sight for even a second). All we're trying to say is that it's not like he's fathered six bastard children with five different women. Or banged Karrine Steffans. Or failed to pay child support.
