ESPN is about to get a whole lot more handsome.

Jon Hamm announced this morning on Live with Kelly and Michael that he will be hosting the 2013 ESPYs, a fact later confirmed by show producer Maura Mandt in a statement:

“The ESPYS is designed to showcase the year’s best sports moments in a sharp, fun and entertaining manner and Jon’s the perfect host for this year’s show. His appearances on shows like 30 Rock and SNL show that humor and creativity are two of his main strengths. The combination of Jon’s dry wit with his passion for sports will give fans a unique and original view of the year in sports."

LeBron James just won an NBA title with the Miami Heat.

Now he can add three-time ESPY winner to his resume.

The basketball superstar won individual trophies for male athlete of the year, best championship performance and best NBA player at the 20th annual gala/TV ratings extravaganza celebrating the year's best athletes and moments in sports.

James, who is in London for the Olympics, has plenty to smile about.

LeBron bested tennis great Novak Djokovic, Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers for top male athlete.

He also shared in the best team award with the Heat.

Baylor basketball star Brittney Griner won female athlete of the year, topping Maria Sharapova, skier Lindsay Vonn and soccer player Abby Wambach.

The ESPY Awards have tracked down one of the fewest and one of the proudest men in Hollywood to serve as host of this year's ceremony.

Former Marine/Daily Show correspondent/Hangover co-star Rob Riggle has been tapped to takeover for Seth Meyers, who emceed this sports entertainment event for the past two years.

Other ESPY host have included Samuel Jackson (1999, 2001, 2002, and 2009) Lance Armstrong (2006), Justin Timberlake (2008).

"Why me? Straight up sex appeal," Riggle said in a statement. "I know guys like Justin Timberlake and Seth Meyers are sexy... What can I say, I'm just another link in that sexy chain. I couldn't be more honored to be the host of the ESPYS! I just hope they let me do my Karate demo!"

The ESPYs will air July 11 at 9 p.m. on ESPN.

At last year's ceremony, the Best Female Athlete, Lindsey Vonn, asked to take a picture with Justin Bieber backstage. He obliged, of course.

Even a Gold medalist can be a Belieber.

Upon winning the Best Female Athlete at the ESPY Awards last night for the second consecutive year, skier Lindsey Vonn took to the stage, thanked ESPN, her husband and her fans... and then asked Justin Bieber if he'd take a photo with her for Facebook.

Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman co-star in The Change-Up this August. Last night at the ESPY Awards, both were fashion stars on the red carpet.

It's been a busy last couple of months for both these talented actors, with Reynolds starring in The Green Lantern and Bateman in Horrible Bosses.

Presented by ESPN, the ESPY Awards hand out hardware to athletes that have already won the most important prize in their line of work. It's pretty ridiculous, really.
