Rob Riggle to Host 2012 ESPY Awards
The ESPY Awards have tracked down one of the fewest and one of the proudest men in Hollywood to serve as host of this year's ceremony.
Former Marine/Daily Show correspondent/Hangover co-star Rob Riggle has been tapped to takeover for Seth Meyers, who emceed this sports entertainment event for the past two years.
Other ESPY host have included Samuel Jackson (1999, 2001, 2002, and 2009) Lance Armstrong (2006), Justin Timberlake (2008).
"Why me? Straight up sex appeal," Riggle said in a statement. "I know guys like Justin Timberlake and Seth Meyers are sexy... What can I say, I'm just another link in that sexy chain. I couldn't be more honored to be the host of the ESPYS! I just hope they let me do my Karate demo!"
The ESPYs will air July 11 at 9 p.m. on ESPN.
At last year's ceremony, the Best Female Athlete, Lindsey Vonn, asked to take a picture with Justin Bieber backstage. He obliged, of course.
Lindsey Vonn Asks For, Receives Photo with Justin Bieber
Even a Gold medalist can be a Belieber.
Upon winning the Best Female Athlete at the ESPY Awards last night for the second consecutive year, skier Lindsey Vonn took to the stage, thanked ESPN, her husband and her fans... and then asked Justin Bieber if he'd take a photo with her for Facebook.
The singer obviously obliged, as you can see HERE. Check out the speech below.

ESPY Awards Fashion Face-Off: Lindsey Vonn vs. Serena Williams
Lindsey Vonn is dominant on the slopes.
Serena Williams is among the best all-time on the hard court, clay and grass.
But we've found a surface on which both these athletes shine even brighter: the red carpet.
Vonn and Williams posed for photographers at last night's ESPY Awards in Los Angeles and neither held anything back, especially when it came to their cleavage. Wowza! Compare the beauties here and try to choose a winner, aside from every male on the planet, that is...
Jonah Hill Hairstyle Showdown: Bald vs. Bushy!
Sorry, fellas. But not every red carpet walker at last night's ESPY Awards looks like Erin Andrews or Danica Patrick.
No offense, Jonah Hill.
The funny man, who will next be seen in Moneyball alongside Brad Pitt, showed up at the sports-themed event with a different look than usual. His glasses were gone, his face was slimmer than usual, and, oh yeah, the afro on top of his head was nowhere to be found. Compare the new Jonah with the old Jonah now:
ESPY Awards Fashion Face-Off: Ryan Reynolds vs. Jason Bateman
Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman co-star in The Change-Up this August. Last night at the ESPY Awards, both were fashion stars on the red carpet.
It's been a busy last couple of months for both these talented actors, with Reynolds starring in The Green Lantern and Bateman in Horrible Bosses.
Whose films do you prefer? That's a question for another day. Right now, vote on who you think dressed best Wednesday evening in L.A.:
ESPY Awards Fashion Face-Off: Erin Andrews vs. Danica Patrick
Presented by ESPN, the ESPY Awards hand out hardware to athletes that have already won the most important prize in their line of work. It's pretty ridiculous, really.
But who cares?!? It also results in opportunities to see sports stars and personalities in outfits that are far more revealing than what we're stuck with on SportsCenter every night. Two cases in point from last night's ceremony: Brooklyn Decker and Maria Sharapova.
Go compare their looks now and then do the same below for Erin Andrews and Danica Patrick.
ESPY Awards Fashion Face-Off: Brooklyn Decker vs. Maria Sharapova
Brooklyn Decker vs. Maria Sharapova in tennis? That would be no contest, although the former is married to a tennis star in Andy Roddick. That counts for ... well, nothing, other than giving us material for this intro.
In a style showdown, though? You be the judge!
As a swimsuit model by trade, Brooklyn looks slammin' in anything, but the three-time Grand Slam winner is certainly no slouch. Who looked best at last night's ESPY Awards? Cast a vote and decide in this THG Fashion Face-Off!
ESPY Awards Fashion Face-Off: Justin Bieber vs. Dirk Nowitzki
One enjoyed an incredible year in his field, earning an MVP trophy for one of the most inspired basketball performances of the last 12 months.
The other is Dirk Nowitzki.
But while the short singer and the tall NBA power forward seem to have nothing in common, both turned out for the ESPY Awards in Los Angeles last night. Bieber was simply a cute attendee, but Nowitzki walked away with the titles of Best NBA Player and Best Male Athlete.
Best Dressed, though? That's up to readers to decide below.
