Is Robert Pattinson getting it on with random blonde Erika Dutra?

The latest issue of this celebrity gossip tabloid explains that Dutra was introduced to Pattinson by a "mutual friend" (who some believe to be actor Emile Hirsch) and that the Twilight star is "smitten" with his new gal pal.

At the French hotel Hôtel du Cap, witnesses say this duo flirted and drank later into the night, from 1 a.m. to 3:30 a.m.

"Robert took pictures of her, and they were even seen kissing," said an onlooker. "There was serious chemistry between them, and they looked like they were having an amazing time."

But what about Kristen Stewart?!? Pattinson and his co-star have been a rumored item for months. Where does Dutra fit into that?

"It's absolutely possible that you can meet someone on the street and suddenly fall in love with that person," the actor said awhile ago. "That often happens to me."

Uh-oh. That isn't promising news for Stattinson fans!

No one is denying that Erika Dutra hung out with Robert Pattinson at a party at the French Hôtel du Cap Eden-Roc on May 22.

But did the evening consist of more than just a single snapped photograph?

If so, the blonde Californian isn't kissing and telling. When asked about the actor by Star Magazine, Dutra simply said:

“We had a great time together! Rob's very sweet. He’s even better-looking in person than he is in photographs."

While attending an event at the Cannes Film Festival, the Twilight star was spotted cozying up to Erika Dutra, a random "Los Angeles resident," as described by Life & Style.

"Erika was introduced to Robert by a mutual friend at the beginning of the night and he was smitten with her from that point on," a witness said. "He took pictures of her, sat with her all night, and the two of them were even seen kissing!"

There have been unconfirmed rumors that Pattinson and co-star Kristen Stewart are dating.

If there's any truth to these allegations, the actress won't be happy to hear that her man and Dutra were reported to have "serious chemistry and looked like they were having an amazing time" at the Cannes event.

And Stewart - along with every female in America - really won't be happy to hear the following, courtesy of a source at the gathering.
