But there's another side to Emma Watson, an edgier, sexy persona that is on full display in the latest issue of UK Elle.

In this month's Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Watson will reprise her beloved role as Hermione Granger. While a portion of the movie is dedicated to her character's crush on close friend Ron Weasley, we don't understand why it takes Hermione so long to land him.

When Daniel Radcliffe went naked for a play a few months ago, he pretty much signified the end of Harry Potter's youth.

Now, it appears as though the actress that portrays Hermione Granger is following her friend's grown up lead.

Take a look at Emma Watson, donning more make up than her beloved Harry Potter character has ever seen in her life.

As Emma Watson searches for her real-life Harry Potter, she's turning to co-stars for advice.

"If I'm having boy troubles, I'll occasionally go and chat to Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint and say, 'What is going on here? I don't understand," Watson, 17, recently said at a London press conference for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which opens Tuesday in Britain and on July 11 in the U.S.

"Don't ask her what she means by boy troubles," added Radcliffe as People magazine reported the three movie stars a laugh.

When not discussing her love life, Watson explained why she took much longer than Radcliffe and Grint to join up for the final two Harry Potter films. And - take note, Hayden Panettiere - they were for legitimate, responsible reasons.

"I didn't sign the contract immediately because I needed some time to figure out the logistics of combining making a Harry Potter film â€" making two more Harry Potter films â€" and combining that with my school timetable," Watson said, adding that she found it "quite frustrating and upsetting all the insinuations that were made about why I was holding off."

Turns out the actress just wants to go to college, where she hopes to study English literature, geography, and history of art. That's right, her plans don't include snorting cocaine or going to clubs every night like young American stars named Lindsay Lohan.

Grint already has left school and Radcliffe studies with private tutors.

Meanwhile, J.K. Rowling's publisher, Scholastic, Inc., announced Monday that the author's seventh and final book in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, in anticipation of its July 21 publication date, has set a record as Amazon.com's most pre-ordered product, with nearly 1.6 million copies bought around the world.

But if you believe the Harry Potter spoilers we posted earlier were more than mere celebrity gossip, then there's no need to even buy the book. You already know how it ends.

But what kind of celebrity news reporters would we be if we didn't reveal a bit of the upcoming movie, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, as well?

Here is Daniel Radcliffe, for example. And while he isn't ogling over any bare boobs this time, the star of the film is sporting a an odd haircut.

We wonder why. Might Voldemort have gotten his hands on Harry's shampoo and conditioner? What exactly is that Phoenix ordering, bad hairstylists to take over the world? Britney Spears looks better bald than Potter looks above. Okay, that's not true.

Not all 17-year old actresses are like Hayden Panettiere.

Many are still searching for their very own Stephen Colletti, a boyfriend with whom they can play tonsil hockey throughout every Shrek showing.

Count Emma Watson among those looking. But at least the Harry Potter star knows what she wants in a potential mate.

"I am not really into any particular type, but I do like guys who are into sports and love it when they speak two or three different languages," the actress tells the July issue of Britain's Tatler magazine.

"Yeah, that really does it for me."

We can imagine high school seniors around the country now brushing up on their French and Spanish like Britney Spears brushing up on her bikini body.

Watson has played Hermione Granger in five Potter films, and will reprise her role in the sixth, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, next year.

However, despite the years she's spent filming, not to mention the fame â€" which, she says, "really started to go wild" after the second film â€" she's taken pains to keep up with her school work. Now studying English literature, geography and art history (which she loves), Watson says her plan is to eventually study philosophy at Cambridge.

Maybe she can delve into the morality of Boston fans taunting Alex Rodriguez over his affair with Joslyn Noel Morse. Or Plato's allegory of the cave.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh and final book in the series by J.K. Rowling, will arrive in July, as will the fifth movie, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Yesterday, we posted exclusive pictures of the upcoming Harry Potter movie, the fifth in this adored series. So it should be a time of excitement and anticipation for the cast, right?

But Emma Watson isn't sure if there's a future for her beyond Order of the Phoenix.

As negotiations carry on to bring back the full lot of actors - including Daniel Radclife (Harry Potter) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) - the 16-year old who portrays Hermione Granger won't commit just yet.

"Every film is such a huge production, and it's a long time," she said.

Adding to the confusion for this talented actress is her recent grades on national exams for college: they were nearly perfect. Sort of like the father of Lindsay Lohan on the crazy scale.

But we digress (which is rare). Watson wants to make it clear that she enjoys, and is thankful for, this opportunity. However ...

"Daniel and Rupert seem so sure ... I love to perform, but there are so many things I love doing. Maybe that sounds ungrateful. I've been given such an amazing opportunity, but I'll just have to go with the flow."
