For some reason, Cosmo recently decided to imagine Kim Kardashian and Kanye West as famous Disney characters.

It's unclear why.

But there's no need to imagine a handful of famous Disney animals in real life... because they already exist!

From the beloved dog in Up... to Simba and his mentor Rafiki from The Lion King... to a pair of fish trying to Find Nemo, we've tracked down a number of furry friends who looks eerily similar to these iconic creatures and featured them below alongside their dopplegangers.

What's more shocking: seeing the real-life Lady and the Tramp? Or seeing photos of these battered Disney princesses?

Up
Cutest cosplay ever? It's gonna be hard to ever beat this.

Disney has long been the go-to source for all things imagination and creativity. Imagination is, after all, the foundation of their existence.

So when artists take Disney characters to new places, we all sit up and take notice, because THAT is a truly creative endeavor.

Enter Isaiah Stephens, an artist whose drawings of Disney characters dressed up for Halloween might just blow your mind ...

Pocahontas as Katniss Everdeen
Pocahontas could totally survive in the wild like Katniss Everdeen.

Stephens took some of our most beloved characters, from the Disney canon and beyond, and comingled them into detailed and genre-defying works of art.

You have to see these, but be warned: you might not be able to look at your favorite characters in quite the same way ever again.

Be sure to visit Stephens' website to see EVEN MORE of his drawings. Check out more Disney characters as different races after the jump!

Look, we're not saying Disney has a vendetta against parents, but we ARE saying that if you're a parent in a Disney movie, you better skip ahead to the end of the script.

There's a super good chance you won't make it that far, and the audience who comes to see you will be crying into popcorn buckets and wiping away tears with buttery fingers.

Heartbreak, bullying, losing your pets, facing your own mortal peril. Ugh. It's enough to make us sad for weeks sometimes! These ARE movies for kids, right? RIGHT?!?!

From Bambi's mom to "Baby Mine," we present to you the 19 most depressing Disney moments EVER. Get your tissues out and steel yourselves ...

Bambi's Mom Dies
Look, I don't care who you are. Bambi's mom's death is probably THE SADDEST MOMENT EVER in Disney history. Ever. Followed SUPER closely by...

Yeah. Gonna be rough for the kiddos and parents alike.

See, if Disney movie posters and taglines just TOLD THE TRUTH about some of these cinema classics, we could save ourselves a bunch of heartache.

To wit, follow the jump for 19 honest Disney posters:

It's a tale as old as time. Girl is sad. Girl meets boy. Girl is happy! And they both lived happily ever after! No really, that's the plot of more movies than we can count.

Very often the stories being told in kids' movies are wrapped up in shiny, colorful cartoon faces which do not actually reveal what the movie is about or the messages therein.

For instance, Frozen is not about a reindeer who befriends a snowman. And ANNA IS THE HEROINE but everyone loves Elsa because she gets the best song. Ugh.

It's always Elsa Elsa Elsa! (Anna 4 lyfe!!!)

But what if these beloved films' taglines told the truth? As an answer, here are 19 honest Disney posters. Seriously, Disney, what's up with all the orphans?

101 Dalmatians
Imagining having 101 children to keep up with pretty much gives us hives. This wouldn't have happened if people listened to Bob Barker.

We recently came up with a list of 9 celebrities who look just like Disney princesses.

Kim Kardashian did not make the cut, but try telling that to Cosmopolitan.

The genius editors of that publication have somehow outdone their recent expose on girl-on-girl sex positions by imagining Kim and husband Kanye West as iconic cartoon couples.

Here they are watching as North West is presented to the universe... there they are floating on a magic carpet... and, yup, that's a tiny Kim Kardashian with wings, sitting on Kanye's shoulder.

Very awesome. Very original. And very much worth your time to flip through the following photo gallery:

Kim and Kanye in The Lion King
It's the circle of life, folks. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were destined to appear in a version of The Lion King.

NOTE: For more examples of Kim and Kanye as you've never seen them before, visit the official Cosmo website.

Britney Spears is passing on her love of Disney to her sons, posing with Sean Preston, 8, and Jayden James, 7, at the Happiest Place on Earth.

The trio looked like the cutest, happiest family on Earth ...

Britney With Kiddos

The former Mickey Mouse Club member, on break from her residency gig in Las Vegas, enjoyed a long day of fun with her kids by Kevin Federline.

"Took these two little Mouseketeers to @Disneyland today ... like mama like sons ;)" the 32-year-old pop icon Tweeted during their summer visit.

Spears and her sons didn't waste any time, either.

After enjoying an early breakfast at the Plaza Inn restaurant, the star and her kids headed to ride Space Mountain bright and early around 9:30 a.m.

"She seemed like she was in a great mood and seemed happy her kids were having fun," the eyewitness said, even if they had to wait in line with commoners.

No Justin Bieber wheelchair antics for Britney.

The tag line of artist Saint Hoax's awareness and prevention campaign for domestic violence asks, "When did he stop treating you like a princess?"

It's a fair question, and the "Happy Never After" campaign - which urges victims of domestic abuse to report their attackers - doesn't stop there:

The likenesses of Disney princesses, shown bruised and battered, are utilized to drive the point home. Quite deliberately, the images are shocking.

Battered Ariel
This battered Ariel poster is one of several by Saint Hoax, in a campaign to raise awareness about and prevent domestic violence.

"Disney princess are perceived as ideal females," Hoax said. "They belong to a fairytale land where happy ever afters are bound to happen."

"But what happens after the happy ever after?"

The posters jarringly and brutally tie the disturbing topic of domestic violence to characters who played a large part in many women's childhoods.

Some Disney stars grow up in the spotlight, yet escape the teenybopper machine unscathed.

Others? Well, they turn out to be Miley Cyrus, shaking their nearly naked vaginas for crowds and flashing nipples on Instagram like girls gone wild on Spring Break.

Then again, Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens did star in a film called Spring Breakers...

We're talking about what happens when good Disney kids go very, very bad you guys.

They shave their heads, go to rehab, get arrested for drugs and DUI, and basically look absolutely nothing at all like the cleaned up kids they portrayed on TV and in the movies.

Nothing. At. All. Especially when they walk around in public wearing paper bags over their faces. Take a look, and try not to recoil, at 13 Disney stars gone wild:

Lindsay Lohan
How many times has Lindsay Lohan been in rehab? Jail? The bigger and cuter they are as children, the harder they fall, apparently.

Gamers, TV viewers and Disney fans alike know the term "Easter egg" refers to way more than just decorated eggs hidden and found each Spring.

Instead, these particular treats exist solely for eagle-eyed fans who catch them, and for the creative minds who put them in there for you to discover.

Those little, blink-and-you-miss-it gems hidden in movies, shows and games, Easter eggs aren't central to the final product, but they sure do improve it.

No one is tucks these secrets away quite as brilliantly as the Imagineers at Disney and Pixar. In fact, there isn't a single Pixar film without Easter eggs.

Check out our gallery of 29 hidden Disney Easter eggs below, and tell us: Did you know about any or all of these, and did we miss any in compiling this list?

Frozen / Tangled
Flynn Rider (Eugene) and Rapunzel are guests at Queen Elsa's coronation!

Toy Story, by a mile, has the most, both in its frames and by its characters making cameos in other films. From Up to Finding Nemo, the Toy Story toys have grand adventures.

Also, Pizza Planet has some of the best and most reliable pizza delivery ever. It's uncanny. Pizza Hut and Domino's should take notes!
