After LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian went public with their relationship in August, her ex, Dean Sheremet, quietly reached out to Cibrian's ex, Brandi Glanville.

Yeah. This looks to have all the makings of a serious Shania Twain / Mutt Lange / Frederic Thiebaud / Marie-Ann Thiebaud love quadrangle situation a-brewin'.

"They have been supporting each other," an insider says of the pair, who first met on the set of the Lifetime movie Northern Lights, which starred their spouses.

At the time, they didn't know an affair had begun. Now, "They've put the pieces together about the last few months, and they're developing a good friendship."

"They're the ones who understand what the other is feeling."

Translation: It's just a matter of time until Dean hits that.

As LeAnn and Eddie nauseate with PDAs, scorned spouses Dean Sheremet and Brandi Glanville are finding comfort in one another. You know what that leads to.

On Tuesday, Rimes announced that she and Sheremet are divorcing - just days after taking a PDA-packed vacation with Eddie Cibrian to Cabo San Lucas.

Asked how it feels to see his ex with Cibrian, Sheremet fought back tears, saying: "I don't really know what to say. It's bizarre. It's surreal. But I'm OK."

Luckily, Dean has found comfort in comisserating with Brandi Glanville. We can't wait for the paparazzi pictures of them holding hands. Give it a week.

This story basically, legally confirms what we've already known was the case for half the year: It's over for LeAnn Rimes and husband Dean Sheremet.

"After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Deane and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage," the country star says on her Web site.

"This decision was amicable and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another. Thank you for your continued love and support."

Rimes, who turned 27 Friday, married Sheremet in 2002 when she was 19 and he was 21. They separated amid allegations of her affair with actor Eddie Cibrian.

LeAnn and Eddie met while filming Lifetime movie Northern Lights last fall. Cibrian, meanwhile, filed for divorce from wife Brandi Glanville last week.

Cibrian's ex has called him "somebody I don't know" and claims she sensed the attraction between the two when they filmed Northern Lights last fall.

Dean Sheremet and LeAnn Rimes were all smiles just a few months ago.

LeAnn and Eddie Cibrian have since gone public with their relationship.

Rimes's longtime friend, Jeff Berger, says that Rimes and Sheremet, a songwriter and former dancer, are "doing their best to handle it as mature adults."

"Dean's her best friend and that's the crux of the issue; when you love and care about somebody who's your best friend – how not to cause pain," he says.

"Le and Dean are great people and, unfortunately, going through a tough situation. But they're doing what needs to be done as amicably as possible."

Dean Sheremet, a former professional dancer, is attending culinary school in NYC. He posted this on Twitter: "Back to school kids, first time in 10 years."

News of LeAnn Rimes' separation from Dean Sheremet saddened friends who had admired their marriage and what they did for each other over seven years.

Alas, her affair with Eddie Cibrian - whose wife, Brandi Glanville, left him as a result - appears to have taken an irreparable toll on Rimes and Sheremet.

In Nashville, those who knew the couple recall how they never seemed to be apart. Says one friend, "[LeAnn and Dean] were pretty much inseparable here."

The spouses were often spotted together at the gym, dining on the town with friends, dancing at nightclubs and even shopping for LeAnn Rimes' wardrobe.

Dean Sheremet, in fact, is credited with helping his wife – who was 19 when they married – make the transformation from a country girl into a sexy siren.

"When she met Dean, the whole image of who LeAnn Rimes was completely morphed into 'fabulousity,'" says a friend in the music industry.

Sheremet, 28, who choreographed the singer's Chicago-inspired video for "Nothin' Better to Do" in 2007, "saw the potential that was not being tapped."

But sources say it may have been inevitable that they grew apart as they got older. "I don't think it's unusual considering how young they were [when they wed], and the business they're in," says a member of their social circle.

As LeAnn Rimes expanded her career into acting, she spent more time in Los Angeles, while Dean Sheremet, a songwriter, stayed home in Nashville.

Rimes and Sheremet's strong friendship, however, is making it difficult for them to officially split, even as she is spending time with Eddie Cibrian.

It's unclear when – or if – they might seek a divorce "There's still a lot of love and respect between the two of them," says a source close to Sheremet.

At the Deer Valley Music Festival in Utah Saturday night, LeAnn Rimes opened up to the crowd about relationships gone wrong during her performance.

Sort of.

"It is inevitable that sometimes in a relationship, you will have your heart broken," said the singer in a thinly-veiled reference to Dean Sheremet.

"Sometimes you don't do anything, but sometimes you want revenge. Sometimes you don't, and that's when you just leave it in God's hands and know that He will take care of it," she said before breaking into "God Takes Care of Your Kind."

LeAnn Rimes and Dean Sheremet, her husband of seven years announced they are separated last week. She was not wearing a wedding ring on stage.

On Saturday, a source said the two are "leading separate lives...but still in each other's lives as best friends" or something. "They are not divorcing yet, but working though things and taking time apart. While they figure things out."

The separation news comes the same week as LeAnn Rimes' rumored lover, Eddie Cibrian, was left by wife Brandi Glanville because of the Rimes affair.

Months after rumors arose that LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian were having an affair, the country singer says she has separated from her husband, Dean Sheremet.

Eddie Cibrian, who is joining the cast of C.S.I. Miami this fall, denied he was having an affair with Rimes, his co-star in the Lifetime movie Northern Lights.

No one had confirmed they were romantically involved until Glanville's statement earlier this week, even though video footage made it kind of obvious.

In March, a Rimes friend confirmed the singer and Dean Sheremet were having problems in their marriage, but maintained Cibrian was "not the cause," and that "there have been issues brewing for months prior to meeting Eddie on set."

LeAnn Rimes and Dean Sheremet, who she married back in 2001, may be on the verge of splitting up, according to new reports published by In Touch Weekly.

Signing autographs for country music fans at the Nashville Convention Center on June 14, the singing star looked as if there was nowhere she’d rather be.

But 20 miles away at the couple's house in Franklin, Tenn., her husband, dancer Dean Sheremet, was reportedly not in a good mood at all.

According to an insider close to the couple, LeAnn, 26, has told him that she is ready to file for divorce - and that she’s ready to leave him.

She is said to long for her married Lifetime movie co-star Eddie Cibrian.

“Dean is completely distraught and heartbroken,” says an insider.

Rimes and Cibrian were tied to one another earlier this year in a cheating scandal that many believed was merely a PR stunt for their movie.

LeAnn responded that she is no stalker, laughed off the accusation and said that Brandi was defaming her in a shameless bid for attention.

With their movie airing last Sunday, the alleged LeAnn Rimes affair came out of nowhere a few days prior, followed by a non-denial by Rimes and a video of the two on a secret date (supposedly). It sort of reeks of a big publicity stunt to us.

As for rumors that Dean Sheremet is gay, and LeAnn is just his beard, his cousin Pebbles probably doesn't know what she's talking about. Look at the hot pic above.

Yes, we're serious. A woman identifying herself as Dean Sheremet's "cousin Pebbles" phoned Michigan's Mojo in the Morning show Friday and dished about their marriage - which they admit is currently in a rough patch - and his sexuality.

LeAnn Rimes's rep responded that "There is no known cousin Pebbles."

Shocking revelation there.

Rimes' rep's response, in full: "Although Dean and LeAnn never knew they had a cousin named Pebbles, they are glad to hear she has come out of the woodwork."

"Dean and LeAnn are also interested in connecting with their other long lost family members: Fred, Wilma, Barney and Bamm-Bamm, along possible others."

Ha, well played, rep of Rimes. This still doesn't explain the video of her with Eddie Cibrian on a steamy date, but it's probably safe to say Pebbles is a fraud.

LeAnn Rimes isn't denying an allegation that she's having an affair with her TV movie co-star Eddie Cibrian, writing on her website, "This is a difficult time for me and my loved ones, but I appreciate all your continued support."

"I would like to assure you that this is a place for you to hear things directly from me and as you all know, not everything in our lives is always black and white."

Rimes, who is married to former back-up dancer Dean Sheremet, is having a steamy affair with the married Eddie Cibrian, her recent co-star in Northern Lights.

It was reported this morning that the twosome, who met on the set of their Lifetime TV movie, were caught by a security camera smooching and holding hands during a romantic dinner date in Laguna Beach, Calif., on March 7.

Eddie Cibrian, who plays Coach Diaz on Ugly Betty, has two young sons with his wife, Brandi Glanville. He has yet to comment on the rumored affair.
