Kristen Bell really is getting a piece of Kate Hudson's sloppy seconds.

We had heard the rumor about the former Veronica Mars star and current Heroes actress dating Dax Shepard, but we hadn't wanted to believe it. Seems like Bell, a certified cutie, could do better than a Jackass.

Still, the couple looks awfully adorable in the photo below. Walking a dog together could do that to any pair, however. We'd have considered Dita Von Teese and Marilyn Mason cute back in the day if they'd be spotted with a puppy.

We really have very little idea who Dax Shepard is and how he continues to score with hot girls. But alas, the "actor," who turns 33 today, has apparently done it again, snaring a favorite hottie of The Hollywood Gossip staff.

Dax Shepard's supposed new girlfriend, Kristen Bell of Veronica Mars, Heroes and Gossip Girl fame, celebrated the new year together, sharing many a passionate kiss on the beach in Miami, Fla., yesterday and over the weekend.

Lovebirds Kristen and Dax simply could not hide their lust for each other as they repeatedly stopped to kiss while strolling on the water's edge. So hot and gross.

Shepard previously dated Kate Hudson, but that appears to have fizzled. We can only guess who's next. Just promise, Dax, that you'll stay away from Blake Lively.

Note to guys: Wanna date a hottie? Run through an an electric fence with that system's specialized dog collar around your neck.

Or maybe just crash your skateboard often.

Basically, just follow the lead of the former stars of Jackass - since they seem to be doing pretty well for themselves with the ladies.

Awhile ago, for example, Bam Margera admitted to having sex with Jessica Simpson. And this was back when she was really, really good looking.

Now, reports indicate that things are heating up between Dax Shepard and Kate Hudson. To what extent? The New York Post claims these two might as well be living together.

"Dax is basically living at her house right now," said the newspaper's source.

We'd expect such a big step from couples that have dated awhile - such as Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo, who moved in together months ago - but Hudson and Shepard? Seems a bit fast to us. Didnt she's just break-up with Owen Wilson?

Even so, we wish these kids the best. Hopefully, they're as happy as another twosome taking this next serious course of action: America Ferrera and Ryan Piers Williams.
