On Monday night, Sabrina Bryan and the Dancing with the Stars women set the bar rather high for their masculine counterparts.

But on "Testosterone Tuesday," as it was dubbed by host Tom Bergeon, the men didn't exactly sit around. Leading the charge? Racecar driver and hottie Helio Castroneves. He and partner Julianne Hough put on a show, summarized here:

Before doing the Foxtrot, Helio mentioned that he's been racing since the age of eleven. Most females watching probably missed it, though, as the athlete's accent may have been distracting.

Julianne Hough, last year's champ, said she's intent on keeping her trophy for another season. It is so on!

They danced to the theme song from Bewitched, an odd but (sorry) bewitching selection. Castroneves made the routine seem effortless and natural.

Carrie Ann thought the dance was wonderful, referring Helio "debonair." Bruno praised Julianne's choreography and noted that the driver had a great deal of charm. Len loved the routine and said there would be an interesting cut, with a few female contestants needing to be worried (especially Josie Maran). Score: 25.

The season premiere of Dancing with the Stars was ladies night - and Sabrina Bryan was feeling alright.

The Cheetah Girl impressed us more than any other dancing celebrity (although how adorable is Jennie Garth?!?) during the opening of this reality competition. While Cameron Mathison and the fellas go on tonight, here's a recap of Bryan's routine with Dancing with the Stars newbie, Mark Ballas:

Tony Dovolani, Marissa Jaret Winokur

Bryan said she wanted to bring a fresher edge to the show, while Ballas referred to himself a dancing ninja. We guess that's a good thing. But both of these contestants obviously wanna make a good first impression.

They danced the Cha Cha to"Don't Cha" by the Pussycat Dolls, delivering a lively, unconventional routine. Bryan is obviously one of the most natural dancers among the ladies, seeing as she does it for a living. Seems a bit unfair, but we're let it slide.

Here wee the judges reactions: Carrie Ann acknowledged that the performance was "fierce," but wished for a routine with less of a hip-hop influence. Bruno called Sabrina a "bewitching blonde dynamo," and praised the couple's precision. Len commented on the couple's level of excitement. Score: 26.

Twelve celebrities.

One disco ball trophy.

The fifth season of Dancing with the Stars begins tonight - and each contestant is ready to lay claim to the title won last year by Apolo Anton Ohno.

Two early favorites have to be a pair of pop singers: Melanie Brown, supported in the audience by Victoria Beckham and David Beckham; and Cheetah Girl Sabrina Bryan (High School Musical star Corbin Bleu is in her corner).

Others, of course, are hoping to pull an upset.

"I would love to go the whole way just because I said to them, ‘Look, I've got to lose some weight so I figure it's better for you guys to pay for it than me,'" Marie Osmond, pictured here with Jennie Garth, said to People.

And the former Beverly Hills, 90210 actress agreed: "The baby weight from baby number three did not go away as quickly as the other two, so for me this is a great opportunity to get in good shape."

Dancing with the Stars will also provide an opportunity to heal for billionaire businessman Mark Cuban, recovering from a recent hip replacement surgery, and actress Jane Seymour, who's had recurring back problems most of her adult life.

Of course, another pair of dancers have few physical deficiencies: models Josie Maran and Albert Reed. They may become viewer favorites. Yum.

Apolo Anton Ohno took home the Dancing with the Stars trophy last night. Here's a report on what else went down on the season finale, courtesy of People magazine...

Family Hair-loom
He didn't make it to the finals, but Ian Ziering's nephews Jon, 17, and Adam, 14, couldn't help but show their familial pride â€" on their heads. When Uncle Ian came out to the ballroom, the two teens donned black Elvis wigs just like the one Ziering wore for his jive with partner Cheryl Burke in the semifinals.

 Daddy's Princess
Brianna Fatone is too young to be on the show, but that doesn't mean she can't look like a dancer. The 6-year-old daughter of runner-up Joey Fatone wore a replica Princess Leia dress just like the one Dad's dance partner, Kym Johnson, wore. The tiny frock was made by the show's costume team. Young Brianna took dad's loss hard as she cried in mom Kelly's arms at the end of the show.

Professor Mills?
She has hit the dance floor. She has fleeced Paul McCartney for money. Now she'll hit the books. Heather Mills said that when she returns to England she'll be working on a degree in biology and chemistry so that she can become a nutritionist.

"I want to have that degree so that I can argue with scientists about meat and milk and global warming," Mills says. "Even though I know about all of these things, if I'm not a full-fledged scientist so nobody will want to listen to me."

The Hollywood Gossip wonders: What's the scientific debate over milk? Or gold-digging?

Instant Makeover
She is used to creating beautiful living spaces for families across the country, but before Tuesday night's show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition star Paige Hemmis had some improvement tips for pro dancer Tony Dovolani. "Hey, Tony, you missed a button. Or two. Or three," Hemmis joked, pointing to Dovolani's exposed chest.

Which couple on Dancing with the Stars came through when it mattered most? Let's not waste any time in getting to last night's recap...

J.R. Martinez Pic

Laila Ali and Maksim Chmerkovskiy (Pasa Doble) - This was an improvement over earlier in the season - and Laila had much more difficult choreography to do. She was impressive, but there were a couple moments where she seemed to lose the rhythm. The theatrics of the performance were top notch at least. Len thought it was fantastic. Bruno called it a tidal wave of passion and drama. Carrie Ann agreed with them and loved it as well. Score: 29 (10, 9, 10)

Apolo Anton Ohno and Julianne Hough (Rumba) - The rumba was an interesting choice. They looked great together and had great chemistry. The dance lacked some of the flash we have seen in other numbers, but the more subdued steps were beautiful. This has been a fantastic debut on the show for Hough, too. Bruno compared it to American Gigolo somehow, and that was a good thing. Carrie Ann said it was over-performed. Len agreed with Carrie Ann, saying that the performance lacked romance. Score: 28 (9, 9, 10)

Joey Fatone and Kym Johnson (Cha Cha) - Now, if you have been playing along at home for the past ten weeks, you had to cringe at that marionette opening. They got past that and went on to have a very fun performance. Unfortunately, it was a little too fun, and not really enough cha cha. Carrie Ann thought it lacked content. Len called it too theatrical, with too many tricks. Bruno said it was just not quite there. Score: 26 (9, 8, 9)

Well, before Shanna Moakler could discuss the final three contestants on Dancing with the Stars in her weekly blog, she had to bid farewell to the pair that was sent packing last night:

I was hoping this day wouldn't come, but unfortunately last night was it. [Cheryl Burke and Ian Ziering] had to go home ... UGH! After last night's dance I hope Ian is proud he finally broke out of his shell and let loose, and look what happened: 10's across the board!!!

J.R. Martinez Pic

I was so happy for him. I feel like it was all in the wig ... ironically enough it gave him confidence. At least Ian can leave knowing he left with a perfect score. I'm so sad Cheryl had to go, but she still has those two shiny trophies at home and maybe I can see her more now!!

Ok, now for last night's dances â€" OH MY GOD! Everyone was PERFECT. If I had to pick last night to send someone home, I would've had to flip a coin. They were ALL that great. I don't even know where to begin.

Joey Fatone, Laila Ali, Apolo Ohnoand Ian could've won the trophy last night.

I think my personal favorite couple was Joey and Kym Johnson. They are so cute together and Joey has turned into quite the lil' dancer. Who knew? I mean, I know he was in 'Nsync, but they definitely weren't doing dances like that on tour!!! The thing with Joey is, he makes you wanna get up and dance.

Apolo and Julianne Hough were awesome, as well. I think the judges should've given them the perfect score. They definitely earned it. I guess they figure they can't give everyone perfect 10's.

The competition definitely began last night. Everyone came out and danced their butts off, and the scores proved it. God, I can't even think about next week. I don't wanna see anyone else go. Maybe it can be a tie!!

We doubt it will be, Shanna. But for someone who has seen Jay Grdina nude, your judgment might be permanently impaired.

As helped us report below, it was a good week for a pair of pairs on Dancing with the Stars last night. Let's get right to the recap...

Apolo Anton Ohno and Julianne Hough (Quickstep) - This week the contestants got to pick their favorite Ballroom and Latin dance styles. For the Ballroom round, Apolo Anton Ohno and Julianne Hough chose the Quickstep.

Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer

The couple did an impeccable Quickstep that included smooth movements, quick footwork, and several crowd-pleasing moments. We couldn't find anything to criticize in their performance, and neither could the judges. Len called Apolo's speedy footwork "fantastic," and Carrie Ann thanked the couple for setting a high standard. Score: 30 (10, 10, 10)

Ian Ziering and Cheryl Burke (Tango) - Ian Ziering was bummed about being so far behind in last week's scoring, and resolved to bring out the "real Ian" this week. He has a lot of catching up to do since the other couples came into their own a few weeks back.

In a shout-out to last week's musical guest, Ian and Cheryl performed to Nelly Furtado's "Maneater." The couple was, as always, technically good and very intense. Their second dance showed more of that quality than their Tango did. Bruno loved the performance, but criticized Ian's foot placement, Carrie Ann felt that they fell just short of a 10, and Len thought it was Ian's best dance ever. Carrie Ann also mentioned Ian's "potential," but it seems a little late in the game for Ian not to have realized that potential. Score: 28 (9, 10, 9)

Laila Ali and Maksim Chmerkovskiy (Quickstep) - This week, Maksim Chmerkovskiy brought extra drama to rehearsal, and seriously tested Laila's patience. Maksim strikes us as a bit of a diva, and his later behavior definitely reinforced that. He's still hot, though, and it was nice of him to bring Laila flowers the next day.

The couple danced the Quickstep to "Walk Like An Egyptian." Carrie Ann praised Laila for bringing a "unique vibe" to the dance floor, and Len thought the dance was light, but more "basic" than Apolo's. Maksim unwisely talked back to Len, which was a bit ungrateful when you consider their scores. Score: 30 (10, 10, 10)

As American Idol fans wait in anticipation of tonight's elimination - although, let's face it, Lakisha Jones is a goner - another reality show bid farewell to a famous singer last night.

Not surprisingly, Billy Ray Cyrus was voted off Dancing with the Stars last night.

Ralph on Dancing With the Stars

Booted off a show he said he never really belonged on to begin with, the country singer took his final bow thanking God and Disney for the chance to dance.

"I had a great time. I can't believe a hillbilly like me got to do this," said Cyrus, who was due on the set of his Disney Channel show Hannah Montana, alongside his daughter Miley Cyrus, later today.

"I'm grateful to all the people who helped me, but most especially Karina Smirnoff, my beautiful partner. She put up with my big ol' butt and feet."

While Billy Ray accepted his fate, others on the show were a bit more insane sensitive.

"I can't believe he's going to be gone," said Apolo Ohno's pro-dancer partner Julianne Hough, wiping away tears. "It gets harder as all these people leave."

Even Laila Ali shed a few tears, but not before she said, "I intend to be standing on this stage when everyone is gone."

Next up, Cyrus is off to work with Heather Locklear on Hannah Montana. "From one beautiful girl to another," he said with a smile. "From Karina to Heather. What more can you ask for?"
