Not only did Krisi Yamaguchi (and Mark Ballas) put up the the highest score yet again on Dancing with the Stars, but the former Gold Medal-winning ice skater looked mighty fine while doing it. Take a look at he photo below if you don't believe us.

As for an overall recap of the couples and their marks...

Mario and Karina Smirnoff: 27
Priscilla Presley and Louis Van Amstel: 21
Marissa Jaret Winokur and Tony Dovolani: 24
Cristián de la Fuente and Cheryl Burke: 23

Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas: 29
Shannon Elizabeth and Derek Hough: 23

Mark, Kristi

Season six of Dancing with the Stars has become the Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas show. These two are more dominant than David Archuleta and David Cook on American Idol.

Adam Carolla admits he's "somewhat relieved" to have been voted off Dancing with the Stars last night, which should come as little surprise to those that figured he was doing the program solely to promote his movie The Hammer.

However, the comedian added that he feels bad about letting insanely gorgeous partner Julianne Hough down, he told Us Weekly after the results were announced.

Dancing No More

Does he think the unicycle, which was incorporated into his paso doble dance routine Monday night, spelled the end?

"I don't know," Carolla said. "I know that judges are not fans of what they call ‘props,' but I think that most props are thought of as crutches, and I thought that the unicycle was hardly a fake set a bull horns."

As for Hough, she's as diplomatic as she is beautiful:

"He has improved so much," she said of her partner. "And if he would have stayed on, he would have been so good!"

As you'll be able to gather from the following Dancing with the Stars photos, it was an evening of talented routines on the show last night.

But it was also a night of unusual activity.

For example, Cristian de la Fuente delivered the drama, punctuating his paso doble with deep-throated grunts. Did you also notice the skin of Cristian and partner Cheryl Burke? How coule you not? Let's take a look:

Feeling Hot!

Other looks and events that stood out from last night's Dancing with the Stars:

• Adam Carolla (pictured, below), his painted-on mustache, cape and mask. But even all that wasn't what put The Hammer star over the top. That would be what the unicycle did! Even before his paso doble began, Carolla â€" in full costume â€" was pedaling laps around partner Julianne Hough. Strange. Sort of funny.

• Jason Taylor took a field trip to a Medieval Times dinner theater, where he learned how to be more chivalrous toward partner Edyta Sliwinska. He also wore a tunic. Wonder how Taylor's Miami Dolphins teammates reacted to that.

Kristi Yamaguchi was the best performer on Dancing with the Stars last night. But we'll likely be saying that every week.

Therefore, we'd like to mention the other great news from the latest round of auditions: Adam Carolla wasn't awful! That means him - and, more importantly, his partner Julianne Hough - are likely to stick around at least one more week. Yes!

Now, let's run down the pairs, dances and scores …

Marlee Matlin and Fabian Sanchez (Jive): Total: 21
Steve Guttenberg and Anna Trebunskaya (Tango): Total: 21
Cristián de la Fuente and Cheryl Burke (Jive): Total: 25
Mario and Karina Smirnoff (Tango, below, still not dating): Total: 21

Karina Smirnoff, Different Mario

Priscilla Presley and Louis van Amstel (Tango): Total: 26
Jason Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska (Jive): Total: 23

Cristián de la Fuente will resort to intimidation - or just weird looks - if need be: do not vote him and Cheryl Burke off Dancing with the Stars!

That's Mario, the R&B singer who uses only his first name (real name Mario Dewar Barrett), and not Mario Lopez, former Saved By the Bell Star.

Karina Smirnoff is partnering with the former on Dancing With the Stars this season. Three seasons ago, she partnered with Mario Lopez.

Mario Lopez and Karina Smirnoff fell in love and are still dating as a result of that season of Dancing With the Stars. All caught up?

The DWTS pro and certified cutie responded this week to rumors that she is hooking up with her current partner, the R&B singer Mario.

"We have a completely professional relationship," Karina Smirnoff said. "I have a lot of respect for Mario. He is a great person."

Mario and Karina Again!

Mario and Karina: The 2008 Dancing With the Stars edition.

The New York Post reported this week that the current DWTS iteration of Mario and Karina were "making out by the valet with their hands all over each other" at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles. Juicy gossip!

Mario's rep denies the claim, saying "this did not happen."

But a source close to the talented singer insists "there is definitely chemistry and a flirtation between the two." Then again, it is dancing.

Ah, what would Dancing With the Stars be without constant hookup rumors? Or the incredibly attractive and somehow still chaste Julianne Hough?

As always, People magazine went behind the scenes of this week's edition of Dancing With the Stars and dug up some dirt - as well as funny anecdotes about the cast and other moments that you didn't see on TV. Here are some excerpts ...

Girl Bonding
Marlee Matlin gave a fist-pump as Shannon Elizabeth earned the first "safe" slot of the night. As the ladies were whittled down, the support turned to nervousness as Monica Seles pouted, seemingly sure of her own elimination, while Marissa Jaret Winokur fidgeted with her dress and Priscilla Presley waited anxiously.

What a Relief
After Penn Jillette and pro partner Kym Johnson were sent packing, Cristian de la Fuente and Cheryl Burke (below) celebrated with a hug of obvious relief that had Cristian de la Fuente lifting his partner off the ground. What a hot pair!

Judges' Jonas Brothers Jammin'
When the show started with the Jonas Brothers' squeal-inducing, two-song set, the three Dancing With the Stars judges were just as excited as the 'tween girls in the audience. And you know what, they weren't even embarrassed by it!

A Picture Lasts Longer
After Steve Guttenberg heard he was safe, he decided to savor the moment â€" with his digital camera. "I take a lot of pictures," he admits. "It's important to capture these great memories. I've made some great friends (here)."

Gotta Give Him Props

During Jason Taylor's mambo, friend and NFL star Tony Gonzalez shook his head in admiration. "When I first heard Jason was doing the show, I thought, ‘Oh my God, he's going to embarrass himself," Gonzalez said. "But he did really well."

Needs a Better Seat
Samantha Harris may need a step-stool. At the taping of the Cirque du Soleil inspired dance, the Dancing With the Stars host bobbed and weaved to get a better view of the spectacle that had Carrie Ann Inaba open-mouthed with amazement.

The first double elimination night on Dancing with the Stars was last night and that meant two couples were voted off the show. Sad, but inevitable.

The couples sent home surprised few Dancing With the Stars fans:

  1. Penn Jillette and Kym Johnson!
  2. Monica Seles and Jonathan Roberts!

At least Penn can go back to his whole magic act, while Monica Seles is still one of the best tennis players ever. Figure skating seems to translate better to dancing success, however, as Kristi Yamaguchi has proved to us these first two weeks.

Monica Seles and Jonathan Roberts bid farewell last night.

Visit our Dancing With the Stars recap from the other night for a full rundown of all the hot couples' dance moves and scores through the first couple of weeks!
