Bill Nye the Science Guy was given the boot on last night's Dancing With the Stars results show, but at least he went out in style with his final routine.

After ignoring doctors' orders to stay off his torn quadricep, the 57-year-old opted instead for a modified “jazz” routine to Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky.”

It was ... awkward. And ridiculous, yet brave and sort of awesome.

Karina Smirnoff spoke of the “superb job” Bill's partner Tyne Stecklein did at crafting a story and dance around essentially a man with a peg leg.

It was pretty impressive, if you look at it from Tyne's end.

Despite Nye's best efforts at wooing the judges with his strange, hobbled sex-robot routine, the duo was the second to be voted off the show in Season 17.

After a third week of performances live on ABC, the Dancing With the Stars results are in for the second Monday night elimination of the 17th season.

So who's the odd man (or woman) out this time around?

Bill Nye on Dancing With the Stars

Combining both scores from this week's episode and public votes from last week, the Dancing With the Stars results show is harder to predict than ever.

Heading into tonight, the Bills (Nye and Engvall) brought with them the lowest scores, and seemingly the poorest prospects for advancing to next week.

The Science Guy was also nursing some torn ligaments, further dimming his prospects. Did either of them surprise us? Let's get to the DWTS results ...

After suffering a torn ligament from falling mid-routine on Monday's episode, Bill Nye the Science Guy is down but not out on Dancing With the Stars.

The 57-year-old is "in good spirits and is really hoping he can continue to compete."

Nye, a fan favorite on the ABC show, "stepped on the cuff of these fancy slacks and I went down," he said following his nasty tumble earlier this week.

"We'll do R.I.C.E. - just rest, ice, compression, elevation [and] see where we get."

The injury sent him to the hospital after the Dancing With the Stars results show.

Julianne Hough will be back on Dancing With the Stars, the show that made her a star in her own right, if only for a guest stint on the judges' panel.

Julianne Hough at the Emmys

The 25-year-old will guest judge at least one Dancing With the Stars episode this season while head judge Len Goodman is away on other business.

Len will be judging the British series Strictly Come Dancing, so the former DWTS pro and Footloose actress will fill in while he's absent on ABC.

“She’s just as, if not more knowledgeable than what’s going on over there,” said Mark Ballas, Hough’s former partner, gesturing over at the judges’ table.

“She’ll be honest, whether you’re family, a friend, or whatever to her."

Leah Remini said the Church of Scientology is hoping for her to fall flat on Dancing With the Stars after her public defection from the religion this summer.

“The church is looking for me to fail so they can say to parishioners, ‘Look what happens when you leave,’” she told partner Tony Dovolani in a taped segment.

“They’re waiting for me to fail.”

At least through the first Dancing With the Stars results show of the season, the actress had the last laugh, easily coasting into the third episode.

Leah, who called her exodus a “big change for me and my family,” said that with Scientology, “You’re used to taking a lot of negativity on yourself.”

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino says his addiction to painkillers and subsequent rehab stay dates back to his short-lived stint on Dancing With the Stars.

That was 2010, and he says he's still battling to stay sober.

Say WHAT Yo?

While his people initially insisted the MTV star was just suffering from exhaustion, Sitch eventually confirmed he was hooked on opiates back in 2012.

Now, the 32-year-old is talking about his battle with prescription drugs and how his addiction was so bad, he could barely dress himself at his worst.

"All I had to do was get dressed for a family function and I couldn’t do that. The shirt was laid out, the belt, the pants, everything. The shower was on."

Some Dancing With the Stars critics are hammering the show for the perceived unfair advantage of trained dancers Corbin Bleu and Elizabeth Berkley.

The Dancing With the Stars cast was revealed yesterday and includes Snooki, Leah Remini, Valerie Harper and even Bill Nye the Science Guy.

But it's Bleu and Berkley who have already sparked some controversy due to their due to their extensive dance training and Broadway experience.

“It’s not fair!” one stage producer said. “They have the muscle memory about the ways to do this. I think it’s dishonest that [DWTS doesn't] level the playing field.”

Cristian de la Fuente [following his injury, trip to the hospital and subsequent stellar performance]

I am not the best dancer, and I have not been the best dancer from the beginning. I am happy we made it this far.
