Another week, another dominant performance by Melissa Rycroft.

Does anything think the former Bachelor suitor pleaded with Jason Mesnick to dump her, so she could take home this season's Dancing with the Stars trophy? Just kidding. For the most part.

Here's a rundown of the scores from week three, as a trio of celebrities led the way...

  • Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke: 27
  • Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani: 27
  • Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas: 27
  • Lil Kim and Derek Hough: 25
  • David Hough and Lil Kym: 24
  • Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough: 23

Life and Dancing Partners

Julianne Hough and Holly Madison are just two of the talented beauties taking to the dance floor every week.

Does Melissa Rycroft have an unfair advantage this season on Dancing with the Stars?

Not according to fellow competitor Holly Madison.

The Playboy Bunny - who is teamed with new professional Dmitry Chaplin - doesn't care that the former Bachelor suitor is an automatic fan favorite. But Madison does see Rycroft as her main competition.

"I think the biggest competition is Melissa from The Bachelor," Holly told Us Weekly over the weekend. "She is an amazing dancer and everybody loves her, including me... She is super sweet and an amazing dancer."

Lamest. Trash. Talk. Ever.

While Madison was the number-one girlfriend of Hugh Hefner for years, she said that achieving the same status on Dancing with the Stars isn't necessarily a goal.

"I just want to make it to third or second [place]," she said. "I want to do as many dances as I can and wear as many awesome costumes as I can. I'm having so much fun with it. I want to stick with it as long as possible."

You tell us: Who will advance farther on Dancing with the Stars?

Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani delivered a smokin' hot salsa on Monday evening's Dancing With the Stars. But after the show, The Bachelor beauty found herself, once again, on the hot seat over her dancing background.

"I'm not the only person that has ever come in here with dance experience," Melissa told Access Hollywood when asked if she has a leg up on her foes.

Dancing pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy sparked the debate prior to Week 2 of the hit ABC show, telling TV Guide it was unfair that Rycroft was allowed to compete with her background in ballet and as a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader.

When given the opportunity to backtrack on that, Maksim stood strong in his stance: "Let me be that voice of everybody who thinks [it] but won't say it."

"I mean, I can't be expected to compete next to someone that's had a lot of dance training," Maksim's partner, Denise Richards, added.

Melissa Rycroft Dancing

Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani heat up Dancing with the Stars.

After Monday night's show, where Melissa Rycroft turned in her second impressive performance in as many weeks, it seemed more members of the cast were ready to throw fuel on this smoldering Dancing with the Stars fire.

"I'm not going to say anything about it being unfair, but compared to everybody else, there is a huge difference in ability," Julianne Hough said.

Not everyone's a critic, though.

Melissa's dance partner this season, Tony Dovolani, took exception to the comments made by his good friend and competitor, Maksim.

We recapped Monday's and Tuesday's episodes in detail, but People magazine has a report on what we didn't see on the most recent Dancing with the Stars.

Some anecdotes from behind the scenes:

Handsome Derek Hough

Her Personal Cheerleader

Melissa Rycroft's boyfriend, Ty Strickland, was spotted again in the audience Tuesday night. "His goal is to be here for all the shows," Rycroft said about her boyfriend, who commutes back and forth from Dallas to Los Angeles.

Although he didn't have to sweat it out Tuesday since Rycroft was far from the bottom of the scoreboard, he did cheer when it was announced the Dallas beauty would be officially be dancing again next week.

After the show, Rycroft beelined for her beau while dance partner Tony Dovolani greeted Strickland with a man hug. Good to see the two new men in her life get along.

Another Blast from the Past

After the cameras stopped rolling Tuesday night, The Bachelor host Chris Harrison walked onto the dance floor and greeted a surprised Rycroft with a huge hug.

"The last time I saw him, I was storming off stage." Rycroft said. "This is a much better atmosphere to be reunited with him."

Ty Strickland was there to cheer on girlfriend Melissa Rycroft, as usual, while an injured Jewel was seen on Dancing with the Stars supporting her significant other as well.

Fighting Through the Pain

At the top of the show when Mark Ballas performed with the other pro dancers to the sounds of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy - who performed live in the studio - Ballas was reportedly wincing in pain and rubbing his lower back.

But in a season that has already seen a slew of injuries, Ballas isn't the latest on the injured list. He assured us, "I just scratched it. I'm alright."

The Jewel in the Crown

Or something. There were plenty of ovations throughout the night, but Jewel received the longest one after she performed "Over the Rainbow" from her upcoming CD.

Her former dance partner Dmitry Chaplin and Chelsie Hightower, whose partner is Jewel's husband Ty Murray, wowed the audience with a performance as she sang.

Keeping Them Entertained

Speaking of Chelsie Hightower, she was keeping everyone's spirits high with her youthful energy before the final two couples were announced in the dance-off.

During a commercial, the 19-year-old rehearsed a super-quick quick step with Ty Murray, then turned around and started high-fiving and low-fiving Steve Wozniak.

This is one time Belinda Carlisle and partner Jonathan Roberts had hoped not to come in first: They became the first casualty of Dancing with the Stars' eighth season.

They landed in the bottom two alongside Steve Wozniak and his partner Karina Smirnoff, who were at the bottom of the leader board after two weeks of competition.

In a DWTS first, the two couples went toe-to-toe in a dance-off that the judges scored. The new scores were then combined with viewers’ votes - which account for 50 percent of the couples’ scores - from the first two weeks of dancing.

Their routine fell apart, and off they went.

“I had a great time,” a disappointed Carlisle said in her farewell speech, adding, “I wish I could have done better for Jonathan, because he’s a great teacher.”

Oh well. Someone had to go first. This defied our official odds somewhat, but wasn't a huge shock. Next up for remaining couples: the fox trot or the samba.

Can an inept Steve Wozniak possibly last another week? Will Steve-O stay healthy? Can anyone stop Gilles Marini, Shawn Johnson and Melissa Rycroft?

A look behind the scenes of Dancing with the Stars last night and some odds for who we think is sticking around - and getting bounced - this evening:

Setting Boundaries: Belinda Carlisle imposed an 8 p.m. curfew for herself during the weeks leading up to the Dancing with the Stars premiere. But she's finding it hard to enforce. “It hasn’t worked out very well,” she joked.

Woz Up: Kathy Griffin, who once dated Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, was in the audience ... cheering on pal David Alan Grier. Good thing Wozniak’s ego isn’t easily bruised, as evidenced by his brushing off the judges' harsh critiques.

Ty-Break: Following Melissa Rycroft's sexy salsa, she waltzed right over to her personal cheering section - her parents and boyfriend. She gave a quick kiss on the lips to her beau Ty. Before she walked away, he told her, “Good job.”

Unexpected Taste: Lil’ Kim continued to dazzle the audience and judges in week two with her quick step and her choice of song, “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend.”

“People are finding out a lot about me,” admitted Lil’ Kim. “I listen to classical music, rock, jazz. I even listen to landscapes sometimes - it relaxes me.”

So who's heading home tonight? We'd wager on someone named Steve.

For the first time, the bottom two couples have a chance to dance for their lives, which may seal someone's fate. Follow the jump for The Hollywood Gossip's official line on each competitor, and for some more pics from last night:

Fans are still buzzing over the debut of Melissa Rycroft on Dancing with the Stars last night.

With just two days to rehearse with partner Tony Dovolani - and just over a week since having her heart broken on national TV by Jason Mesnick - Rycroft earned the second-highest score of the night, as she performed a nearly-perfect Waltz.

How would she sum up the experience?

"Unbelievable, surreal - all those emotions," she told Us Weekly after the premiere aired. "I never expected, after what just happened, that I would be standing here right now. I got the call on Friday around lunchtime and was on a plane literally seven hours later, and now we are here!"

Rycroft, who studied ballet as a child, said she also benefitted from immediate chemistry with Dovolani.

"I came in, and we instantly started a friendship and began having fun and that made this experience so much better."

How far do you think Melissa Rycroft will advance on Dancing with the Stars?

I don't know the Bachelor guy, but he's a loser.

Dancing with the Stars judge Bruno Tonioli echoed the sentiments of reality TV fans around the world with this critique, but he didn't provide it simply to help mend a broken heart. Instead, Bruno - along with fellow judge Carrie Ann Inaba - were enamored by the performance of Melissa Rycroft.

With just days to prepere her waltz, Rycroft and partner Tony Dovolani earned the second highest score of last night's DWTS premiere, a combined 23 from the panel.

Despite only having a few days to rehearse, Melissa Rycroft should have no problem on Dancing With the Stars, says her ex-fiance Jason Mesnick.

"I am so excited for Melissa," The Bachelor star tells Extra. "I know she's danced her whole life, and must be excited. I hope and think she will win it all."

Meanwhile, on Monday's Bonnie Hunt Show, Mesnick continued his national apology tour after dumping Rycroft on the "After the Final Rose" special.

"I want to apologize to you and to the audience and to anybody who is watching because I did something obviously that I am not very proud of and that is talking to [Melissa Rycroft] in front of the camera," the single dad admits.

"It's something that I regret and I've thought about every day since it happened ... the producers really wanted me to do it that way, but it was my decision, I take full responsibility for my actions and I apologize most of all to Melissa," he says.

Hot Bachelor Make Out Scene!

The passion between Jason and Melissa was palpable on The Bachelor. But he says he knew Rycroft wasn't the right girl for him soon after the show ended.

"We had spent a bunch of weekends together and spent a week together at Christmas and all of a sudden ... we had so many silences and nothing to talk about," he says. "I think we both knew there was something missing."

Molly Malaney, the show's runner-up who is now dating Mesnick, admits she was iffy about dating him after seeing how he treated Melissa Rycroft.

"I needed to understand what happened with Melissa and him," said the 24-year-old department store buyer and Grand Rapids, Mich., native.

"I wanted to make sure that he wasn't running back to me just because it didn't work out with Melissa," added Malaney, who isn't planning on getting married or engaged to Mesnick yet, but says she's very happy with her man.

Like Jason, we can't wait to watch Melissa Rycroft dance tonight!

We should have started dancing with one arm waaay before.

Cristian de la Fuente [following his injury, trip to the hospital and subsequent stellar performance]

I am not the best dancer, and I have not been the best dancer from the beginning. I am happy we made it this far.
