Just as Kelly Taylor came a long way over the years on Beverly Hills 90210, her portrayer came a long way this season on Dancing with the Stars.

Alas, the transformation of Jennie Garth from a shy beauty to a confident performer on the show wasn't enough to save her and partner Derek Hough: they were voted out last night.

"I feel like I've come so far in this," the actress. "And I'm so proud of myself â€" not that I'm gloating. But it was wonderful what Derek was able to do with me."

Hough said he thought they'd be exiting, pointing to the momentum Marie Osmond has been building over the last few weeks.

"We had an inkling that this was our week to go," he said after is became official. "You can't stop the juggernaut [Osmond], so we knew this was probably our time. But Jennie had two encore dances. She got a perfect score. She made it into the semifinals. You couldn't ask for a better run."

A highlight of the results show last night was a return to the dance floor of crowd favorites - and new love birds - Sabrina Bryan and Mark Ballas.

We hope Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Julianne Hough had no plans for next Monday.

That's because they've helped lead their celebrity partners - Helio Castroneves and Melanie Brown - into the finals of Dancing with the Stars.

Granted, there's still tonight's results show to get through, but a quartet of perfect scores between these dancers last night pretty much guaranteed them a spot in the championship of the competition.

As for the third celebrity to join them there? Will it be Jennie Garth or Marie Osmond? Follow our link now to read a full Dancing with the Stars recap and decide for yourself.

All the soap opera fans in the world couldn't save Cameron Mathison last night.

The All My Children hunk become the eighth person eliminated from Dancing with the Stars this season, much to the chagrin of his fellow celebrities.

Helio Castroneves, the last man standing in the competition for next week's semifinals, said he "lost my wing man. Cameron is the Super C! He's a really great guy and we're going to miss him."

Melanie Brown added that Mathison is "hilariously funny," while his partner, Edyta Sliwinska gushed that "I've loved every minute of dancing with Cameron. I'm truly proud of him. I never thought we were going to go so far."

Sounds like Cameron feels the same way, as he told People magazine after the ousting:

"Dancing in front of 20 million people on live television is one of the last things I thought I'd ever do a couple years ago. I am proud that I could dive into something that I knew nothing about, something I am very uncomfortable doing and with perseverance and hard work, I can become comfortable and grow. I know it sounds corny, but I'm really proud of that."

Four celebrities " Melanie Brown, Helio Castroneves, Jennie Garth, and Marie Osmond " will compete in next Monday night's semifinal round.

In reality, there are really only two contestants remaining on Dancing with the Stars.

Following last week's perfect score, Melanie Brown came close to duplicating that feat again last night. She and Maksim Chmerkovskiy received a 29 for their mambo.

The evening belonged to Helio Castroneves and Julianne Hough, though, as they earned a 30 out of 30 for a Quickstep that even ended with a playful kiss. Could be a tough couple to beat.

Jennie Garth, meanwhile, should be safe for another week, as fans will most likely vote out either Marie Osmond or Cameron Mathison. Who do you think has had enough?

There's no doubt Dancing with the Stars fans will see more of Mark Ballas and Sabrina Bryan this season. But for how long?

In each of the past four seasons, all of the couples have been asked back to do a short turn on the dance floor during the finale. Ballas claims the couple will enjoy more than the typical 10 seconds; they'll perform an entire paso doble or cha cha.

"She was voted off too early," Ballas told TV Guide. "She's great, she's lovely, and she was by far the best dancer. No one can take that away from her. So I want to come back to avenge her."

How romantic. And slightly frightening.

"People say she came too far too fast," Ballas added about his new love. "But in the beginning, when I first met her, she was clueless. She could stand with her knees bent and go "Yeah, yeah, boom, boom, hip hop.' But as far as having your feet turned out properly, your hair in a wonderful beehive hairdo and a ballroom gown with feathers at your feet? She didn't know how to do that. It's a totally different kettle of fish."

Perhaps Ballas should stick to dancing instead of metaphors. But we do hope he and Bryan get a chance to prove they belonged in the finals alongside Melanie Brown and Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Fortunately, Mark and Sabrina have both signed on to join the third Dancing with the Stars national tour, which kicks off December 18th in Seattle.

"It means a lot to us to be able to carry on performing," said Ballas. "And I want to show Sabrina's full potential. I really wanted to show America what she could do. I know there was a lot more I could've pulled out of her if we had stayed in the competition. So I'm definitely going to be pulling out all the stops on the tour."

Another week of Dancing with the Stars, another perfect score for Melanie Brown and Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

With Sabrina Bryan and Mark Ballas out of the competition, these two are clearly the favorites; although Jennie Garth has been coming on strong lately and performed well again last night.

At the program's end, Jane Seymour and All My Children star Cameron Mathison seemed most vulnerable. His energetic jive could save him after a disappointing quickstep, but even Seymour's cha cha cha may not be enough to stop viewers from bidding her farewell.

As for Mel B's paso doble? Bruno Tonioli said: "My jaw was on the desk... Top that!"

Sabrina Bryan was rumored to be starring in High School Musical 3.

Now that Vanessa Hudgens has been signed to reprise her role in the movie instead - combined with the fact that Bryan was shockingly eliminated from Dancing with the Stars last week - you may be wondering why this Cheetah Girl is all smiles.

Kristin Cavallari and Mark Ballas Picture

It's all due to Mark Ballas.

Sabrina Bryan and Mark Ballas are dating.

"He's so close to me," said Bryan. "I mean, I'm in a group now with the Cheetah Girls. And one of my biggest fears was stepping away from them and not having someone around me that I felt was my true family. The Cheetah Girls feels like family.

And the fact that Mark and I were able to get so close so quickly was so awesome. It made everything so comfortable. It made me able to trust him in ways that would've stopped or held back my performances had I not trusted him."

As you can see Sabrina could go on and on about Ballas.

But let's get to the juicy part: Are these two following in the footsteps of Mario Lopez and Karina Smirnoff, who began as Dancing with the Stars partners and are still going strong as a couple?

"We've been so focused on the competition," Bryan said. "But now that that has died down, we'll see where it goes. We haven't had a chance to do any of that [dating] or even talk about it. We didn't even realize that people would think that about us until they started asking us. Because you get so close to someone, you get so comfortable, that you don't even see it...

"I absolutely love and adore him."

And there you have it. We haven't been this excited about a couple since Olivia Mojica and the guy she made a sex tape with.

We're still reeling from the ousting of Sabrina Bryan from Dancing with the Stars last night. And we're not alone.

"You know how much I love to talk and I'm at a loss for words," Julianne Hough said moments after Tuesday's live results show.

Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy

"It just goes to show you that no matter how good you think your favorite is, you still have to vote. Sabrina definitely shouldn't have gone home tonight."

Hear that, Cameron Mathison fans? Don't let this soap opera star fall into the bottom two again next week.

Jennie Garth, meanwhile, consoled Bryan's mother, who sobbed quietly while watching her daughter do an obligatory round of post-show interviews.

"I am baffled," Maksim Chmerkovskiy said. "I've said it before and I'll say it again: People should vote for DANCERS! This is the most ridiculous elimination night ever. As far as I'm concerned the bar just dropped."

Chmerkovskiy's partner, Melanie Brown. was also in disbelief: "Seriously, I think somebody should do a recount. This makes no sense."

The bad news for Sabrina Bryan? She was voted off Dancing with the Stars last night.

The good news? Maybe now she has more time to practice for High School Musical 3, as rumors have been swirling that she's replacing Vanessa Hudgens.

For now, though, fans of this reality competition are struggling to comprehend what happened on the results show last night. Sabrina is telling them it'll be okay, at least.

"I had such an amazing time with [partner Mark Ballas]. I cannot imagine any experience being able to remotely compare to this," Bryan said. "I'm not bitter. I've made some great friendships here and I've had the best time. This was an amazing opportunity for me and I feel so lucky to have gone this far."

Others weren't as upbeat.

"This is an outrage and an upset," Carrie Ann Inaba said, wiping tears away. "It's so disappointing and heartbreaking, not to mention complete shock. How do you explain Sabrina leaving? She's been at the top of the leader board from week one. Everyone assumed she'd be in the finale."

Maybe it was a lack of name recognition, although All My Children star Cameron Mathison joined Bryan in the bottom two.

In the end, we may never know what led to this tragedy. It's like trying to get inside the head of Lydia Hearst. How can we know what she sees in Cisco Adler?

How?!?
