Dancing With the Stars Recap: J.R. & Ricki Dominate, Kardashians Show Up, Maks Gets PISSED!

The sixth week of Dancing With the Stars' 13th season saw some famous faces in the crowd, some fancy footwork and a harsh exchange between Maks and Len.

J.R. Martinez and Ricki Lake again stole the show, with sky-high scores that, while deserved, almost seem engineered to give them a buffer against fan voting.

Not that Ricki or J.R. didn't earn their 29s or don't have major fan support as it is. But it's like the judges are taking no chances rewarding the high-flying pair.

Ricki Lake has shown she can move it like no other, and J.R. Martinez's quickstep to the intro music from Chicago was probably the best routine of the night.

That doesn't mean others didn't get slighted.

Hope Solo's rumba to "Seasons of Love" from Rent was panned by the judges, particularly Len, who called it her "worst dance" and drew an angry rebuke.

After Len noted that the audience applauds the routines, but he's been in the business for 50 years, Maks suggested that maybe it was "time to get out."

"With all due respect, this is my show, I help make it what it is, I love every aspect of it," Chmerkovskiy said backstage, not backing down for one second.

"I love every professional that's ever been here and I love every celebrity who puts effort into it every week. Having said that, I'm a little tired that we're being judged, some on effort and some being picked on [for] heel leads."

Dancing With the Stars Top 7: Who Will Prevail?

As we know, the winner of Dancing With the Stars will be the man or woman to combines quality moves on the parquet with a fan base that calls and texts in droves.

Scores do count for half the dancers' aggregate scores each week, but when they differ by, say, 1-4 points, that leaves plenty of wiggle room for fans to close the gap.

On last night's Dancing With the Stars results show, Carson Kressley was sent home after posting the lowest scores Monday. But it won't always be that predictable.

Ricki Lake, Derek Hough Picture

We've already seen a pair of surprise ousters in Chynna Phillips and most of all Kristin Cavallari. Rob Kardashian has been undeservedly in the bottom three twice.

Is Rob at risk of meeting the same fate as K-Cavs, or is he winning over fans as well as the judges? How much longer can Chaz Bono and his two left feet last?

As of right now, it looks like Ricki Lake and J.R. Martinez are on a collision course for the finals, but anything can happen. That's why we ask for your take here:

Who will win Dancing With the Stars?

Chaz Bono
David Arquette
Ricki Lake
J.R. Martinez
Hope Solo
Nancy Grace

Dancing With the Stars Results: Who's Outta Here?

It was a mediocre week for Dancing With the Stars competitors overall, but there were bright spots. Notably the emergence of Rob Kardashian and David Arquette.

On the other end of the spectrum, there were routines that the celebs and pros would just as soon forget, leaving a slew of dancers in jeopardy on the results show.

While you never know going into the Dancing With the Stars results show, it seemed semi-clear to us which competitors had a better path to safety than others.

This time, unlike some weeks, our intuitions were correct.

So who got the chop among the top eight celebrities when the week's results were unveiled? Who is safe to tango their way into our hearts another week?

Caliente! J.R. Martinez Heats Up Dancing With the Stars

Military veteran, motivational speaker and soap opera star J.R. Martinez is looking more and more like the man to beat on Dancing With the Stars.

Rob Kardashian and David Arquette did well Monday, sure. But there was no touching J.R. and Karina Smirnoff with their sexy, 80s inspired samba.

Channeling his Latino heritage, Martinez delivered a samba that was “muy caliente,” Carrie Ann Inaba said. Bruno Tonioli called him a “sex machine” with “so much fire down below” women might hurl themselves off the balcony to get to him.

Ah, Bruno. He's not wrong, though. Watch J.R.'s performance below:

Len Goodman offered perhaps the best praise of all: “The next time someone asks me how should a guy dance the samba, I wil say ‘have a look at J.R.’”

Is J.R. on a collision course with the Mirror Ball? Or will the voters pull a surprise and send him home early? Who do you think will win this season?

Nancy Grace Narrowly Averts Dancing With the Stars Wardrobe Malfunction Redux

Thank you, Dancing With the Stars costume designers. We owe you big time.

Last night, she came thisclose to giving viewers more nipple slip action on the show ... and we just don't need to see any more jiggling like last time.

"My [costume] wasn't working," Nancy revealed of her Dancing With the Stars rehearsal run-through, saying she almost lost the top half of her outfit.

"[The wardrobe stylists] added lace reinforcements at the top. I'm the only one that comes out in a turtleneck. But I'm OK with it," she added.

We are too. And she didn't even let one rip. Watch her performance below:

Rob Kardashian Sexes Up Cheryl Burke, Dances Into Second Place

Rob Kardashian has said he's in it to win it on Dancing With the Stars. We laughed that off a few weeks back, but are now starting to believe him.

Clad in a lime green shirt and black trousers, the 24-year-old got his sexy on with partner Cheryl Burke in front of the judges ... and sister Khloe.

Clearly it worked. Bruno raved that "Rob the heart throb" had finally come out, while Khloe Kardashian could not contain herself on Twitter:

"Wow!!!! Robert did so f****ng amazing!!!! Wow!!!!! Every single week he is improving!!!! So proud!!!" his 27-year-old sister wrote after the show.

Rob can thank hard work, Cheryl's guidance and BFF / former USC schoolmmate / DWTS standout contestant Romeo, who offered his tutelage.

Romeo came by the studio to teach Rob "how to be sexy." It seems to have worked, as his 25 points tied him with David Arquette for second.

David Arquette Impresses Judges, Family, Charlie Sheen on Dancing With the Stars

David Arquette really brought out the big guns this week on Dancing With the Stars. His passion, energy and moves earned praise from the judges.

His tango to Soft Cell's "Tainted Love" earned a score of 25 and a tie for second Monday night. More importantly, it likely won over many fans.

The 40-year-old seemed to have a blast as he whipped partner Kym Johnson around the floor wearing a black and silver Grease-inspired costume.

Ex-wife Courteney Cox, daughter Coco and sister Patricia looked impressed:

Family members weren't the only ones supporting David this week. He also had the vocal support of a very unusual friend as well: Charlie Sheen.

The former Two and a Half Men train wreck weighed in with this Tweet:

"Support my buddy @DavidArquette tonight On Dancing With The Stars 1(800)868-3406 U can call 12x from each phone line thanks! Let's WIN this!"

Arquette responded: "@charliesheen Charlie thanks so much for the support pal! You're the best - you really are the man thanks. That's real."

Anybody see that bromance coming? Either way, it is indeed real.

Chaz Bono Shakes Dat Thang on Dancing With the Stars

Chaz Bono has already lasted four weeks on Dancing With the Stars, more than a lot of people expected. But he's got plenty of obstacles still to overcome.

Chief among them? Shyness. Partner Lacey Schwimmer sought to help in that area, choreographing a routine requiring Chaz to shake it like never before.

How did that turn out?

All things considered, very well. It wasn't near the top of Monday's Dancing With the Stars scores, but in terms of personality and exceeding expectations, Bono continues to shine. Check out Chaz's sexy samba on Monday's show right here ...

Dancing With the Stars Recap: A Sometimes Awkward '80s Night

Week Five of Dancing With the Stars has come and gone, and for some of the competitors on the famed ABC parquet floor, that probably comes as a relief.

J.R. Martinez stole the show again and Rob Kardashian continued to impress judges and fans with his improvement, one of the season's pleasant surprises.

Beyond that, though? Oye.

 J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff

It took about an hour before J.R. Martinez injected some life into this week's show that earned a 10 from Bruno and had Carrie Ann a bit ... hot and bothered?

"Muy caliente!" she exclaimed. "I want more of that!" Same here, Carrie Ann. Same here. J.R.'s samba earned him 28 points, good for a lead of three over ...

Rob Kardashian and David Arquette. Yup, David stepped up big!

First, it was Kim Kardashian's brother, giving his strongest, sexiest effort to date and earning 25 points. This guy is actually looking like a contender!

Give Arquette credit, too, because his tango with Kym Johnson to "Tainted Love" proved how good he is at these slower, intense, passionate dances.

Chynna Phillips on Dancing With the Stars Elimination: Not Thrilled!

Singer Chynna Phillips was voted off Dancing With the Stars Tuesday.

She and partner Tony Dovolani had been at the top of the leaderboard in the past, and were considered by some to be among the favorites this fall.

One clunker of a performance did them in, though, and the former Wilson Phillips member obviously is disappointed having to exit the competition.

If you can even call it that.

Chynna Phillips and Tony Dovolani Pic

"It really does come down to the votes," Phillips said. "And that's kind of sad because it's supposed to be a dance competition, but it's actually a popularity contest."

"You know, you have to have a little bit of faith that there are people out there who are truly voting for their favorite dance, not their favorite person, because it is a dance competition and people are working really hard."

"It looks to me like that keeps getting undermined."

Maybe. Kristin Cavallari's elimination in week three left us scratching our heads. On the flip side, Phillips' score - unlike K-Cavs' - was among the lowest Monday.

What do you think? Did Chynna deserve to go home?

Yes, she really dropped the ball Monday.
No, someone else should be gone!
