After back-to-back weeks at the top, Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy fell to the bottom of the heap on Dancing with the Stars Monday night.

Although they were spared elimination on the Dancing with the Stars results show (and weren't even in the bottom three) Maks was not happy about it.

Specifically, he was put off by guest judge Abby Lee Miller.

Maks put together a rumba about a dysfunctional relationship (fittingly), and while the moves were excellent, it felt more like a contemporary routine.

Carrie Ann Inaba felt there was energy in every move, but there wasn't enough rumba content, while Abby felt that Meryl's footwork needed ... work.

A chorus of boos rained down from the audience.

After receiving their lowest score of the night from Abby and falling behind Amy Purdy's perfect 10s, Maks said "I really don't care for anything she has to say."

BURRRRN. So much for being a big "teddy bear."

If you watch Dance Moms online, you can appreciate where Maks was coming from, no? Check out the rest of last night's performances below ...

Amy Purdy made an unbelievable comeback on Monday’s Dancing with the Stars, notching a perfect score after leaving with a back injury last week.

The paralympian was rushed to the hospital during last week’s Dancing with the Stars results show, and was later diagnosed with a “rib out of place.”

Amy Purdy was cleared to dance the next week, though, and while expectations for last night's return were uncertain, her Argentine tango was amazing:

Even judge Abby Lee Miller of Dance Moms infamy called Derek Hough’s choreography “brilliant,” and told Purdy, “Amy, my students are here this evening."

"And I better never ever, ever hear ‘I’m too tired.”

“Look at this woman!” she declared. “Amazing.”

Bruno Tonioli similarly called Purdy “Amazing Amy,” and said the performance was “perfection ... totally spell-binding. I feel like I’m in a trance."

Carrie Ann Inaba added, “I swear I felt like I stopped breathing three times," while Len Goodman said, “If I’m dreaming, don’t wake me up. That was terrific.”

Danica McKellar was eliminated last night, while Purdy, James Maslow, Charlie White, Candace Cameron Bure and Meryl Davis advanced to the semifinals.

Who do you want to win the Mirror Ball title?

Monday's Dancing with the Stars Season 18 Episode 8 showcased some typically talented performances. Even the week's guest judge was impressed ...

... Abby Lee Miller!

If you watch Dance Moms online, you know she's a tough cookie (and that's as nicely as we can put it). So to win 9s and 10s from her is no small feat.

Who did just that?

Let's take a look at the performances and scores on Dancing with the Stars Season 18 Episode 8, and see who lived to dance another week on ABC ...

Amy Purdy & Derek Hough - Argentine Tango

Amy Purdy and Charlie White took the lead away from Meryl Davis, who actually scored at the bottom of the pack last night with Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Both scored all 10s last night. Impressive work, especially considering that Amy Purdy was hospitalized just a week ago after her performance on the show.

Each dancer performed an individual routine, followed by a dance duel against another star. The full scoreboard from last night's Dancing with the Stars:

  • Amy Purdy and Derek Hough: 10, 10, 10, 10 = 40 + 39 = 79
  • Charlie White and Sharna Burgess: 10, 10, 10, 10 = 40 + 38 = 78
  • James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd: 8, 9, 10, 9 = 36 + 39 = 75
  • Candace Cameron Bure and Mark Ballas: 9, 9, 9, 9 = 36 + 38 = 74
  • Danica McKellar and Val Chmerkovskiy: 10, 9, 9, 10 = 38 + 34 = 72

Amy Purdy remains alive and well on Dancing with the Stars Season 18.

Mostly well, that is.

The impressive contestant was actually hospitalized due to back pain last night, telling Erin Andrews backstage that it was “hard to breathe” because her back just “seized up.”

The Paralympian snowboarder missed the team dance later in the evening to receive treatment and, as of this writing, remains under doctor’s care.

Monday evening's Dancing with the Stars results saw NeNe Leakes eliminated, having turned in the lowest score of the seven remaining competitors.

Amy Purdy, meanwhile, was hospitalized after a rumba to a slowed down rendition of "Light My Fire" by The Doors that earned 36 out of 40 points.

"You lit my fire! First out, first class," Len Goodman told her, while guest judge Ricky Martin gushed, "You were stunning. You made me feel a lot of things."

Purdy felt mostly pain. She was admitted to hospital shortly after her performance with a shoulder injury and was unable to perform the group routine.

The athlete's efforts in the dress rehearsal dance was used to judge the routine, fittingly performed to "Livin La Vida Loca," with Amy unable to participate.

The team had well wishes for Purdy, who they missed during the number, but she nailed her dress rehearsal performance, which was taken into account.

Monday's Dancing with the Stars Season 18 Episode 7 showcased some caliente performances on Latin Night, with Ricky Martin serving as guest judge.

Not only that, The Bachelor star Juan Pablo Galavis was in the audience!

Somewhat surprising, given that he was reportedly a shoo-in to join DWTS before making everyone hate him this winter, but hey. Bygones and all that.

Let's take a look at the performances and scores on Dancing with the Stars Season 18 Episode 7, and see who lived to dance another week on ABC ...

Meryl Davis & Maksim Chmerkovskiy - Salsa
Meryl and Maks dance the salsa and top the field by three whole points on Dancing with the Stars' Latin Night in Week 7.

Once again, Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were out in front!

They would've even gotten a perfect score for their salsa to "Adrenalina," if it weren't for Len Goodman being distracted by the background dancers.

Still, good enough for a three-point lead and frontrunner status for the attractive duo. The full scoreboard from last night's Dancing with the Stars:

  • Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: 39
  • Amy Purdy and Derek Hough: 36
  • Charlie White and Sharna Burgess: 36
  • James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd: 35
  • Candace Cameron Bure and Mark Ballas: 35
  • Danica McKellar and Val Chmerkovskiy: 33
  • NeNe Leakes and Tony Dovolani: 31

In jeopardy: Charlie, James, and Nene. Who went home?

Monday's Dancing with the Stars Season 18 Episode 6 showcased party rock anthems, with guest judge Redfoo (who else) from LMFAO helping to grade the contestants.

DWTS sots Erin Andrews and Tom Bergeron started off by telling The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes she was safe, thanks to solid scores last week.

On the flip side, Drew Carey went into the show at the bottom of the pack by a wide margin. It didn't seem likely at all that he'd survive another elimination round.

Did he? Let's take a look at the performances and scores on Dancing with the Stars Season 18 Episode 6, and see who lived to dance another week on ABC ...

Catherine Lowe (formerly Catherine Giudici) wants to be on Dancing With the Stars, and she's not being shy about broadcasting that career aspiration.

While watching this week's Dancing With the Stars results, she took to Twitter to join the conversation, and plugging herself as a future cast member.

Catherine Lowe, Sean Lowe

She wrote: "After each dance, it makes me wish I could be on the show! #DWTS" ... which isn't exactly desperate, but does express serious interest.

The thought of being a part of the DWTS cast has to have crossed her mind, especially since husband Sean Lowe has already been there and done that.

It's no secret that reality stars are kind of shoe-ins for being cast, given that actual celebrities are few and far between on these latest seasons especially.

Might producers bring Catherine Giudici on board to give Sean Lowe a run for his money? Does she really want to do it or was her Tweet just a Tweet?

It was a Disney-themed night on Monday's Dancing with the Stars, and the scores were simply magical for one contestant while another exited stage right.

James Maslow & Peta Murgatroyd - Contemporary

Their contemporary routine to the Academy Award-winning song "Let It Go" from Frozen was hailed by the judges and resulted in widespread adulation.

Not unlike the film itself, which made for an appropriate first perfect score of the season. On the other end of the spectrum, which star got the boot?

Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Dancing with the Stars feuds have gone hand in hand over the years, but in this case, most fans are likely to be on his side.

The combustible pro is none too pleased at Julianne Hough, who guest judged the ABC hit series this week and hinted that he phoned in his performance.

"You can accuse me of a lot of things," said Maksim.

"You can't accuse me of not working hard enough."

Maks' comments came in response to Hough's accusation that he didn't give it all on Monday's "switch up" episode, when he partnered with Danica McKellar.

Suffice it to say, Chmerkovskiy didn't take kindly to that.

Following the blowup, some social media users suggested that Hough may have been taking sides because her brother Derek is still in competition.

"She said it and now she has to own up to it," said Maks.
