Is it easier to do well on Dancing with the Stars if you're younger?
Some competitors are asking that question after Disney star Zendaya Coleman, 16, ruffled some feathers Monday by saying age is "just a number."
"Using age is almost an excuse," Coleman said after dancing into first place. "Age doesn't mean anything. Age doesn't mean I can't work as hard."
"Age doesn't mean I can't do as well as everyone else out there."
On the contrary, some feel it could give her an unfair edge.
Dancing With the Stars' second week of competition continued to separate the serious contenders, the pretenders, the also-rans and D.L. Hughley.
The dances in week two were tough - quickstep, jive and jazz - and some couples excelled while others faltered with elimination #1 looming Tuesday.

Is Sean Lowe turning into a diva on the set of Dancing With the Stars?
According to TMZ, The Bachelor has a pretty high opinion of himself.
ABC, accordingly, denies Sean is anything but a perfect gentleman.
The celebrity news site alleges that Sean Lowe insists on being filmed from good angles, talks down to crew members, and acts like a brat in general.
He reportedly makes comments to the effect of "this show needs me" and discusses how he has become a brand that he must "market accordingly."
Executive Producer Conrad Green, contrarily, says Future Mr. Catherine Giudici "is a pleasure to work with and there is nothing diva-like about him."
Dorothy Hamill says she turned to Dancing With The Stars for hope during her fight with breast cancer. Now she's looking to win the Mirror Ball herself.
Her former Olympic figure skating teammate, Kristi Yamaguchi, appeared on Season 6, and Dorothy was so inspired, she decided to join Season 16.
Her debut on last night's DWTS premiere was worth the wait.
"It really is a dream come true," she said. "I was a fan before, but Kristi really got me through when I watched her ... it's just amazing to be apart of this."

Last night's premiere showcased the highs, Lowes and in-betweens among the new cast members, who took to the parquet for the first time in most cases.
How did these dance virgins do? Let's break it down!
Kicking it off was Kellie Pickler, who called partner Derek Hough the Peter Pan to her Tinkerbell. Their pixie cuts are similar ... and their moves weren't bad!
Victor Ortiz, meanwhile, looked dashing, but he's got some work to do when it comes to the technical elements. Hey, gotta work the kinks out early.

On Monday's season premiere, we saw 12 celebs (or quasi-celebs) take to the parquet, all with the goal of taking home the Mirror Ball and/or boosting their careers.
The new cast includes the obligatory Olympians. The NFL standout. The soap opera mainstay. The reality TV star. Even The Bachelor himself.

He's going Dancing With the Stars!
Hours after he proposed to Catherine Giudici, Lowe confirmed on GMA what we've known for weeks: That he will join DWTS as its 12th contestant.
Lowe is already training with his new dance partner, Australian Peta Murgatroyd. "Hopefully, I won't make a fool of myself on the dance floor," he said.

Dancing with the Stars returns for its 16th season two weeks from tonight, taking over for another venerable, two-hour ABC reality show on Monday nights.
