Amy Purdy, the Olympic snowboarding champion with two prosthetic legs, already came to Season 18 of Dancing with the Stars with quite a back story.

Wait until you hear her tell it through dance.

On a night where were no real Dancing With the Stars results - Billy Dee Williams withdrew and everyone else was safe off the bat - there was plenty of emotion.

Each star had to dedicate their performance to their life's most memorable year, and for Amy Purdy, it was 1999, when she lost both her legs to meningitis.

She and Derek Hough's beautiful performance, set to “Only Human,” left not a dry eye in the audience. Bruno even called it "borderline miraculous."

Given what she's been through? Not a huge stretch. Carrie Ann said Amy was so inspiring, especially while exposing her legs and feet for the first time.

“I hope you know what you are doing for people. Anyone who is facing a challenge, you let them know they can begin again,” guest Robin Roberts said.

To top it all off, they received a score of 36, good for second place!

This week's Dancing With the Stars results were decided not by the judges or the fans, but by one of the participants who decided he could not continue.

Billy Dee Williams, citing a chronic back problem and medical advice, withdrew from season 18 of ABC’s dancing competition on Monday night.

The 77-year-old Star Wars actor thanked his pro partner, Emma Slater, and said he’d always remember his time on the show, even if it was cut short.

“And I want to thank every one of you folks who’ve been supporting us,” Williams said, gesturing to the audience, which gave him a standing ovation.

Williams, who recently had hip surgery, has been at the bottom of the scoreboard, struggling on the dance floor despite winning votes with his spirit.

No one was voted off the dance floor as a result on Monday's episode, which also featured Good Morning America's Robin Roberts as a guest judge.

The routines in the third episode of this season were all dedicated to the most memorable year of the stars' lives. How did the scores shake out?

Candace Cameron Bure may be new to the world of competitive dancing, but it seems she has plenty of practice with the horizontal mambo, if ya know what we mean.

Candace Cameron Bure Paparazzi

The former Full House actress and new Dancing With the Stars contestant has opened up about her faith and family life and it seems nearly two decades of marriage haven't slowed her down in the bedroom.

"I am a sexual woman," Cameron said recently when asked about her sensual dance moves. She added: "I want to reserve certain things for my husband. So we did, I think, the best that we could with the rumba I felt comfortable doing."

Realizing that Uncle Jessie probably wouldn't approve of all this sexy rumba talk, Bure then added, "I'm a Christian! My life revolves around my relationship with Christ."

Cameron has made it clear to dance partner Mark Ballas that she won't be wearing any revealing clothing during their routines, as doing so would conflict with her faith.

Cameron, a mother of three, has been married to former NHL player Valerie Bure for 18 years. Her brother, Kirk Cameron, also gained fame as a child star before abandoning acting to become an evangelical minister.

Just two minutes into last night's Dancing With the Stars, hosts Erin Andrews and Tom Bergeron shocked the couples with the news that not one but TWO sets of dancers wouldn't make it to the credits.

Then the hosts told them that the celebs would be dancing the dance they said they most wanted to perform when they had no dancing experience.

Hope they're all quick studies!

Drew Carey and Cheryl Burke went first, dancing the jive. They are safe for another week with a score of 21.

Danica McKellar and Val Chmerkovskiy did a sexy samba after which judge Bruno Tonioli called Winnie Cooper a "sexy little jungle cat."

"Beautiful to look at but not quite tamed."

On Dancing With The Stars, being a double amputee might be seen as a disadvantage.

But Paralympic snowboarder Amy Purdy isn't letting it slow her down.

Amy tells TMZ that she has different feet for different types of dances. Forget wood or cumbersome mechanics, Amy's special dancing feet include ankles that work on hydraulics.

Southern California Prosthetics has sent her several pairs to try, including ones she can wear with high heels! No matter what kind of feet she's rocking, her dancing is pretty amazing.

You can see one of her pairs of specially made feet in action when you watch Dancing With the Stars online. See Monday's performances right here:

A new voting system has been implemented this spring, and for the first time ever, viewers will have the chance to switch up the celebrity-pro pairings.

Tonight, though, was all about the 12 stars' debuts.

The season 18 Dancing With The Stars cast was revealed a week ago, but this is our first chance to see them all dressed up and ready to hit the floor.

As usual, the ladies stun in teeny tiny bedazzled dresses and sky high heels while the men sport dapper suits.

From 80's tv stars to gold medal athletes to a teen pop star, who do you think will take home the mirror ball trophy?

Or more importantly, what do you think the chances are that Billy Dee Williams WON'T go home first?

Dancing With the Stars has rounded up another eclectic cast of B-to-D-level celebrities for Season 18 (yes, 18), kicking off Monday, March 17 on ABC.

Two Olympic darlings, three singers, two former child TV stars, one double amputee, a former NHL star and others will strap on their dancing shoes!

Oh, and a certain Real Housewives of Atlanta star ...

NeNe Leakes
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star is headed to the ballroom!

Maksim Chmerkovskiy returns to the ballroom this season, as does Fox Sports' Erin Andrews, who will replace Brooke Burke as co-host of the program.

Dance pro Derek Hough announced another twist on Good Morning America, saying that at some point this spring, the whole cast will switch partners.

"You have to change things every so often to keep them fresh," says executive producer Conrad Green. "We have to be mindful of keeping younger audiences."

DWTS still draws 15 million viewers a week, a huge total by any measure. But its average viewer age of 61.6 is near the top of that scale for any show.

But Green defends the show that has had so many years of success, and there's no reason to think it won't this time around with this year's cast.

Here's a breakdown of the celebs and their professional partners ...
