Will Hope Solo Go Dancing With the Stars?
Dancing With the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy has identified his dream partner for the upcoming season of the hit ABC competition series:
U.S. soccer goalie Hope Solo!
After giving Hope's name immediately when asked who he'd love to partner with this fall, the Ukrainian hunk added, "Let's do it! I want somebody hot, I want somebody exciting, somebody passionate, and I'll do the rest."
Maksim took Kirstie Alley to the finals last season. He believes he could repeat that success with Hope Solo ... provided her athletic footwork translates to dancing.
Solo led the Americans into the World Cup final against Japan, where they fell just short of the championship, losing on penalty shots.
Despite the heartbreak, Maks would offer Solo a chance for redemption, should ABC decide to give her a Dancing With the Stars whirl.
"I'm waiting," he says. "And please don't hurt your legs."
Karina Smirnoff Lobbies For John Stamos on Dancing With the Stars
Karina Smirnoff would love to see John Stamos throw it down on Dancing With the Stars and partner with her an the upcoming season.
We can only hope the former Full House star obliges.
She's mentioned it before, and is now launching the unofficial campaign yet again. Asked recently who she wants to dance with, she said:
"Definitely John Stamos," Smirnoff told Hollyscoop. "I think he's got the looks, plus he's got the experience of being onstage, doing Broadway."
She may have a slight crush on John, but she's not hoping for anything more. Playboy's recent smoking hot cover gal is engaged to Brad Penny.
The former ER star's, whose name came up as a possible replacement for Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men, has not commented on DWTS.
Who would you like to see on the show? Stamos? Someone else?
Dina Lohan to Go Dancing With the Stars?
Is Dina Lohan poised to go Dancing With the Stars this season?
It'd certainly be an image-rehabilitation effort for the mother of four, who is probably best known as a fame whore who made a mess out of her family.
Dina, whose lack of maternal skills may be rivaled only by Emily's mom on Pretty Little Liars, was overheard talking about plans to appear on the show.
The topic came up as she celebrated daughter Lindsay Lohan's birthday, which coincided almost exactly with her completing her house arrest. Sweet.
LiLo herself was in talks to appear on DWTS at one point, but it did not materialize. The show has not commented on potentially casting her mom.
More random people have certainly appeared, so it's not that big of a stretch. The question is who else ABC has in mind and whether it wants her.

Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: More Than Friends?!
Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are probably not dating, but they aren't doing anything to quell the growing speculation, either.
The DWTS partners were awfully cozy at her "All The Right Moves" event in NYC last night, following rumors that they may be an item.
Maksim was the Ukrainian Bachelor, but does not appear engaged now. He also called Alley "the best thing to happen to me in years!"
The outing also comes amid news that Kirstie dumped her 21-year-old (!) boy toy because she discovered he still lived at home with his mother.
Yes, Kirstie Alley has dumped rapper Shanice Boyd. Whether that clears the way for a romantic connection with Maks, 31, remains to be seen.
One thing's for sure. Since appearing as a finalist on Dancing With Stars, Kirstie Alley has a slimmer figure and a whole lot more confidence.
Kirstie showed off her shrinking frame as she dipped, twirled and grinded with burly Maks on the red carpet and on the floor last night. You go girl!

Hines Ward Reflects on "Special" Dancing With the Stars Victory
With infectious charisma to match his talent, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward was named the winner of Dancing With the Stars last night.
How does that compare to being the MVP of Super Bowl XLI? What was his favorite part of the experience? What was the most difficult part?
Ward offered thoughts on that and much more to the L.A. Times:
On his faith in Kym Johnson, despite her injured neck: "I knew Kym was gonna try to do all that she could to win for us, for me. I felt good. I don't have any problems with my hands and I knew I could hold her up with lifts and not let her fall."
"I mean, I use my hands for a living. If you remember, when Kym got injured she was not in the air. She was already on the ground. So I felt OK with lifting her, 'cause I had no plans to ever let her fall. And I felt good doing them with her."
On where he'll put the Mirror Ball: "I have a place in my trophy case with my Super Bowl MVP trophy, between my two Lombardis. It's gonna look nice."
Don't Stop the Party: The Black Eyed Peas Live on Dancing With the Stars
The season is over, but the party don't stop.
The Black Eyed Peas lit up Dancing with the Stars last night, with Taboo, will.i.am and apl.de.ap appearing on a futuristic set to sing "Don't Stop the Party."
Soon enough, they were joined by frontwoman Fergie, who appeared high above the crowd on a platform of sorts before being lowered to the dance floor.
Hines Ward was crowned the Season 12 DWTS winner, beating out Kirstie Alley and Chelsea Kane (the Disney star formerly known as Chelsea Staub).
Watch the Peas rock the Dancing house below:
The Dancing With the Stars Season 12 Winner is ...
It's been a Dancing with the Stars season to remember.
The injuries. The drama. The personal stories that moved us. The moves on the floor that thrilled us. A cast of stars so engaging and evenly matched that the field was as competitive as it was entertaining from the start.
But there could be only one Season 12 champion.
Somewhat surprisingly, given that she was just one point from perfection Monday and seemed like the dark horse to win, Chelsea Kane finished in third place.
That left Kirstie Alley, who ended up with five points less than the other finalists, but has been a fan favorite all season, up against Hines Ward for the crown.
Talk about anyone's game. Anyone willing to wager on this?
And the Season 12 Dancing With the Stars winner was ...
Hines Ward: Dancing With the Stars is My Super Bowl!
"This is my Super Bowl." - Hines Ward
The one-time MVP of the actual Super Bowl may or may not win Dancing With the Stars tonight, but if he ends up hoisting that Mirror Ball, it won't be a fluke.
Heading into tonight's final results show, Ward is tied with Chelsea Kane with 59 points, meaning it's all coming down to the votes America casts. Will he win?
All bets are off, but he certainly didn't leave anything in the bag last night, finishing his season with a freestyle that mimicked a Super Bowl halftime show.
Seriously, you gotta watch this absurdity. Check it out below, along with the Quickstep Hines and Kym's rocked earlier in the Dancing With the Stars finals ...
Chelsea Kane Makes Her Case For the Dancing With the Stars Crown
In terms of making the most out of one's ability, Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmkerovskiy are as stellar as Dancing With the Stars pairs come.
Ditto Hines Ward and Kym Johnson. But in terms of pure talent and grace under fire, Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas may have the slight edge.
After her samba and freestyle on Monday's DWTS finals, the Disney star continued her near-perfect streak and looks like the woman to beat.
It will likely come down to voter turnout between Chelsea and Hines, both of whom posted total scores of 59 out of a possible 60 last night.
Fresh and edgy, while cuter and sexier than the other couples, Mark and Chelsea made their case in a big way. Watch their routines below:
Kirstie Alley on Dancing With the Stars: Oozing!
"We have the very young Chelsea. We have a very athletic Hines ... Kirstie is the exact opposite." - Maksim Chmerkovskiy on his Dancing With the Stars partner.
Maks has never been one to mince words, but rest assured, he didn't utter the above quote as a slight to Kirstie Alley, but to credit her for beating the odds.
At 60 and not exactly rail thin, she was the clear underdog heading into the Dancing With the Stars finals. But Maks said she belongs there and proved it.
Carrie Ann Inaba felt she "oozed" in her samba, and meant that as a compliment. It was rather sultry, earning her a 27 despite some technical hangups.
Later, in her freestyle, she defied the odds and did anything but play it safe with a daring, split-legged lift. Then the energy increased - with a cartwheel.
Will it be enough to vault her over Chelsea Kane and Hines Ward to claim the Mirror Ball tonight? She scored a 54 to their 59s. But you never know.
Watch her freestyle performance after the jump ...
