If Lifetime's Dance Moms were The Hunger Games ... it wouldn't be that different!

This amusing two-minute parody uses clips from the controversial reality show, dubbed over with some memorable Hunger Games quotes at surprisingly appropriate moments, producing an intense, chilling and gripping trailer.

May the odds be ever in your overbearing, insane parents' favor:

On last night's episode of Dance Moms ... small girls took the stage during the Fire and Ice competition in Pittsburgh for a rather risque Vegas showgirls-esque routine.

Skimpy outfits, feathery fans, you name it.

Over the top? Not in the eyes of dance coach Abby Lee Miller. Her approach: "The idea of the fan dance is you give the illusion that you're nude underneath the fans, which, c'mon, we all know you have tan bras and tan tights on."

Glad we cleared that up.

"Everyone in the industry knows that the girls are completely covered and everything is harmless," she says ... and maybe so. But is it any less degrading?

Former Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl, mother to a young daughter and far from the only critic, decried the "burlesque" nature of the show in January.

"I kept think all these girls were missing is a pole!" she noted.

Even some of the girls seemed skeptical last night.

"I guess all the girls and I feel kind of nervous because we feel kind of naked," said Chloe before stepping out to dance in front of the uncomfortable judges.

Obligatory poll alert: Lifetime's Dance Moms is ...

Feud alert! Christi Lukasiak, one of the mothers on Dance Moms, did not take kindly to Katherine Heigl's criticism of the show, and is firing back with a vengeance.

In an interview with Pittsburgh's 100.7 Star, the hosts asked Christi what she thought about Heigl's Dance Moms diss, in which the actress criticized the Lifetime show as "demeaning," "belittling" to the girls and akin to "burlesque."

Chloe's mom gave her a piece of her mind...

Heigl and dance Mom

"Well, very interesting," Lukasiak said of the former Grey's Anatomy star. "First of all, the music doesn't seem all that adult. Second of all, I recall Katherine Heigl being in a movie about sleeping with an older man when she was about 12, so..."

Oooh, that one stings!

"And she doesn't know that when I put my daughter to bed at night, you know, like, we have a long talk, and the kind of relationship I have with her," Lukasiak adds.

"I don't let anybody mess with my kid. C'mon, have you seen the show? I'm constantly going to bat. I think if anybody fights for their kid, it's me, you know?"

Christi also shoots down any idea that she and the other mothers are "exploiting" kids, and instead argues that they are giving their girls a great opportunity.

"Katherine Heigl can suck it," radio host Bubba chimed in, emphatically. "Yeah, that's what I say, but you said it, not me. I'm just agreeing," Christi said.

Back to you, Katherine ...

Katherine Heigl has beef with Lifetime's series Dance Moms.

In her weekly iVillage blog post, the 33-year-old actress and mother of a three-year-old daughter slams the popular show for sending inappropriate messages to young girls.

"I watched with open-mouthed amazement as girls as young as seven were encouraged to dress provocatively and shimmy around a stage doing a dance performance that could just as easily been a burlesque routine," she writes.

Wonder if she's seen Toddlers & Tiaras.

Heigl on Today

"I kept thinking all these girls were missing is a pole! I was also horrified by the way their instructor spoke to them when she felt they weren't up to snuff," Heigl writes.

"It was demeaning, belittling, and downright unkind."

"There is no reason to break anyone down in order to prepare them for inevitable disappointment or unkindness. There is no reason to diminish anyone's self-esteem in order to get them to try harder next time. Especially not a child's."

The One For the Money star is bothered by "the amount of value we place on a woman's looks, body and ability to drop it like it's hot on the dance floor."

"It's one thing to walk into a club and see 20-somethings embracing their sexuality and having fun, but it's another thing altogether watching 7-year-olds."
