A long-time friend of Kim Kardashian, an ex of Lindsay Lohan and a general source for gossip fodder, Courtenay Semel wants to set the record straight.

Did she really intervene with Lindsay last week? Does she have a reality show in the works? Any sex tapes in her closet?

The Hollywood Gossip spoke exclusively to Semel, who covers the upcoming issue of Curve. She didn't hold anything back...

The Hollywood Gossip: Tell us about your upcoming Curve feature.
Courtenay Semel: I'm a photshoot virgin. I've never done a photo shoot before and I got asked to do this. I was shocked. I'm so honored they asked me to do the cover. I always felt uncomfortable about the fact that I basically got outed in a non-existent lesbian relationship. I felt I finally had a chance to "out" myself. That's normally the way it goes.

THG: Will you be making any appearances at events or on talk shows to publicize it?
Courtenay: I am, of course, having a party. I love parties. Not doing much to publicize this, but I do hope it'll show everyone a different side of me. There's a lot more to me than all the rumors and madness I went through this year.

THG: Do you have any other projects in the works?
Courtenay: I'm doing a show with Bunim Murray productions. The network is a secret, but its really exciting. You'll find out soon enough. Looking for a publisher for my book and just wrote my first feature, they'll all be a part of my show.

THG: Is there someone special in your life these days?
Courtenay: No. I'm absolutely positively single and ready to mingle. I'm married to my career right now.

THG: Do you still speak with Tila Tequila?
Courtenay: Tila and I still keep in touch. We'll always be friends.

THG: What about Kim Kardashian?
Courtenay: Of course. She's one of my oldest friends of life.

THG: Lindsay Lohan?
Courtenay: I supposedly cornered her in a bathroom last week at Crown bar and begged her to go to rehab. I don't remember that happening. But maybe that's the way to get her attention...

As ex-girlfriend Tila Tequila deals with an alleged assault by Shawne Merriman, it must be hard for Courtenay Semel to get out of bed each morning.

But the talentless socialite knows there are people in America much worse off than she is; specifically, the 47 million citizens that lack health insurance.

In a show of support for these individuals, Semel took to the only outlet she's famous enough to have: Facebook. She posted the following message on her account yesterday:

It's unclear how many people followed her order and posted this as their status for the day. We're guessing Joe Wilson was not among any of those that did.

We make fun of Courtenay often because her name is spelled stupidly; she pretends to be a lesbian in order to make headlines; and because she once lit an ex-girlfriend's hair on fire.

But, hey, at least she's taking a stand on an issue with this Facebook post. That's preferable to celebrities that think the world needs to hear about their every thought and mundane action (yes, we're looking at you, Miley Cyrus).

Has Semel changed your mind on health care reform? Where do you stand on the issue?

Courtenay Semel might be back together with Tila Tequila.

But she's definitely in need of attention.

The daughter of a former Yahoo! CEO, Semel is the poor woman's Kim Kardashian: she's famous for being rich, but not nearly on the A-list level of her sex tape-starring friend.

While Kim makes headlines for looking good in a bikini and seriously dating an NFL star, Semel must pretend she's a lesbian and appear in public with Tequila every now and then just to stay relevant.

Expect this talentless pair to be spotted again one of these days, as Courtenay relayed the following inspirational quote to her Facebook friends today:

As the all-knowing Gossip Girl so perfectly states above, fate can work in mysterious ways. Sometimes it brings a pair of fake bisexuals together in the name of publicity; other times it causes reporters to realize no one cares about this couple.

Without any acting gigs, albums or ounces of talent, expect Courtenay Semel and Tila Tequila to continue to kiss whenever a camera is around.

Courtenay Semel has gone from munching Tila Tequila's carpet to vomiting all over that of her living room.

As a result, the daughter of former Yahoo! CEO Terry Semel has checked into rehab.

Over the past few months, Semel has broken up with Tequila, assaulted a security guard and allegedly beat up new girlfriend Casey Johnson, setting her hair on fire. Looks like she's a bit late getting help for herself.

"Courtenay has indeed checked into rehab... She’s emotionally, physically and mentally exhausted. She is now taking responsibility for her actions and is excited for her chance to start over," said Semel's rep.

This begs two questions:

1. Is she going to rehab for drugs or drinking?
2. What the heck does the representative of Courtenay Semel do?!?

Courtenay Semel recently lit Casey Johnson's hair on fire.

In Semel's defense, her ex-girlfriend did have the nerve to show up at her house.

According to Page Six, Johnson got into a fight with her current partner earlier this week. Seeking comfort and/or cunnilingus, she headed over to Courtenay's. Big mistake.

"Casey went to Courtenay's house, and Courtenay proceeded to beat the crap out of her, and then she lit her hair on fire. Casey had to be hospitalized," a source told The New York Post.

Semel didn't deny the disagreement, though she referred to the whole hair-lighting accusation as "a major exaggeration."

Not worry, though: all is well in the land of attention-hungry lesbians.

"Courtenay and Casey are still close and are heading up to Sundance for the weekend," another source said, while Semel's rep added that his client's on-again, off-again relationship with Tila Tequila has ended.

Sounds like Courtenay and Casey may be in for a scorching hot time in Utah this weekend. Get it?!?

Other celebs that supposedly traded in penis for vagina - at least for the duration of a headline being written about the switch - in 2008 included Aubrey O'Day, Brittny Gastineau and, of course, Lindsay Lohan.

The outbreak of temporary carpet munching has grown so severe that MTV has created a reality series out of it. The Ikki Twins, Rikki and Vikki, wouldn't have jobs at the moment if they didn't consider women among potential suitors on A Double Shot at Love.

Will this trend continue in 2009? Millions of guys certainly hope so!

6. Adrienne Bailon. Being dumb enough to take nude pics and let them get stolen is one thing. Staging the entire stunt with your loser publicist? Pathetic.

2. Eliot Spitzer. The Governor of New York State apparently thought it was worth his job and marriage to give call girl Ashley Dupre a good "stuffing." Har har.

1. Spencer Pratt. The villain you love to hate from The Hills capped off a hilarious year by eloping with Heidi Montag. Say what you will about him, Spencer plays the celebrity gossip game to perfection, 24/7/365. And we love him for it.

Losing your d-list star status and the perks that go with it? There's nothing like a little girl-on-girl action to get you back on celebrity gossip sites.

Tila Tequila and her "girlfriend" Courtenay Semel whored it up nice at the after-party for the American Music Awards at Social in L.A. Get a room!

Both skanks brought their A-game - Tila Tequila looks ready to straight up maul Courtenay Semel, the epitome of class in a circa 2001 sparkly, backless dress.

The expression on Court's face says it all. Even in the process of getting to second base with her alleged lover, she's focused instead on who's taking pictures.

We'll never understand Courtenay Semel.

One moment, the useless socialite is making out with occasional lesbian Tila Tequila; the next, she's all over fashion designer Wayne Joffe.

The two were spotted out together in celebration of Semel's birthday earlier this week. While we can't confirm a hook up between the pair, a source states that Joffe "may be a jazzbo."
