According to Corey Feldman, former child star and best friend of the late Corey Haim, child molestation has run rampant in the entertainment industry.

"The No. 1 problem in Hollywood was and is and always will be pedophilia," he said Wednesday, adding that the “casting couch” exists for children, too.

He and Haim were no exceptions to that disturbing trend, Feldman says.

Two Coreys: Feldman, left, and the late Haim.

Feldman asserted in an interview that directors and other adults in the industry take advantage of young aspiring actors on a regular basis.

“It's all done under the radar... But it's the big secret,” he said.

Feldman also claimed that former co-star Corey Haim's death last year was the end result of early sexual abuse by an unnamed "Hollywood mogul."

The L.A. County Coroner has released the report on Corey Haim's death, and despite previous reports and assumptions, the actor's demise was not caused by drugs.

The cause of death is listed as "natural."

Haim died of natural causes from "community-acquired pneumonia" that damaged his lungs, and was complicated by an enlarged heart and narrowed blood vessels.

Low levels of eight drugs, including a prescription muscle relaxant, were found in Haim's system along with marijuana, coroner's spokesman Craig Harvey said.

Nothing at a level that would have contributed to his death, however.

R.I.P. Corey Haim (1971-2010).

Drugs in Haim's system included the antidepressants fluoxetine and olanzapine; the tranquilizers diazepam and meprobamate, found in Valium and other medications; cough-suppressant dextromethorphan; and antihistamine diphenhydramine.

A whole slew of doctors supplying Haim and other stars (such as Michael Jackson and Brittany Murphy) with prescription medications are under investigation.

Haim, who struggled with drug problems for years, died March 10 after collapsing in his mother's apartment. Corey had been feeling ill the previous two days.

In short, Corey had a bad heart and pneumonia. The muscle in his heart had thickened, and the arteries hardened, making it more difficult for blood to flow.

We hope the report gives his family closure.

The deaths of Michael Jackson, Brittany Murphy and Corey Haim raised questions regarding prescription drugs, and have sparked an investigation, sources report.

The California State Attorney General's Office is investigating a number of doctors who prescribed meds for the aforementioned stars, all of whom died recently.

This Was It

Several dozen doctors are being investigated for allegedly prescribing medication without medical justification. The A.G. is also looking at their various aliases.

Sources say between 25-30 doctors are being "actively investigated." As we know, Dr. Conrad Murray already faces a manslaughter charge in the Jackson case.

He may not be the last. Two doctors who prescribed drugs to Anna Nicole Smith also face charges in connection with the former Playboy model's 2007 death.

The deaths of these stars beg many questions about the ethics of prescribing certain drugs, and have now prompted a California Attorney General's office investigation.

Continuing this disturbing trend, Haim's death earlier this month has already been linked to a massive drug ring, with a criminal investigation sure to follow.

Actor Corey Haim was laid to rest today at a private funeral in Canada. His best friend, Corey Feldman, is putting together a public memorial for him in the U.S.

Also today, the 911 call placed by his mother the morning he collapsed at her apartment has been released, and paints a tragic picture of March 10 events.

Judy Haim apparently had a difficult time understanding the 911 dispatcher, and it's hard to understand what he's saying, but clearly the mood is very frantic.

Corey was not breathing at the time, and was pronounced dead an hour and 15 minutes after the 911 call was made. The former child star was just 38 years old.

Corey Feldman will not be at Corey Haim's funeral today out of respect for his best friend and fellow former child star's family's wishes, the actor said in a statement.

"In the days following my best friend Corey Haim's death, I have spent much time with his mother Judy, who has always been like a mother to me," Feldman said.

"Due to their strong religious beliefs and need for privacy," he continued. "The family has decided to make Corey Haim's funeral on Tuesday a small private affair."

The private funeral service will take place Tuesday in Toronto, and is funded Startifacts, a celebrity memorabilia Web site, which volunteered to donate $20,000.

The money for the funeral will come from the auctioning off Haim's belongings. His family asks fans to send flowers to a local cancer ward instead of the service.

Corey Feldman will be MIA today, but says he will be planning a separate, public memorial for his Lost Boys co-star that will reportedly take place around April 2.

"I am working with a few people who were close to Corey to put a memorial together within the next month," he said. "The media will be invited to honor and celebrate the legacy he left behind, along with friends, fans and the Hollywood community."

Corey Haim died Wednesday at the age of 38 of an apparent drug overdose while at his mother's Los Angeles. He fought a long battle with substance abuse in life.

Haim's mom said he had an enlarged heart, pulmonary congestion and water in his lungs at the time of his death, which has been linked to a massive drug ring.

The L.A. County Coroner's office is awaiting results of toxicology tests and has not ruled out a drug overdose, though it does not appear to be foul play or suicide.

Corey Haim's suspected overdose death earlier this week is now under investigation, and has been linked to an illegal, massive drug ring, according to reports.

Investigators say that an illegal drug prescription for Haim was found during an investigation of a ring responsible for thousands of illegal pharmaceutical sales.

The investigation linked more than 5,000 fraudulent prescriptions to the drug ring so far, officials said after combing a database of prescriptions in California.

investigators found one in Mr. Haim’s name for OxyContin. The ring is based in San Diego, where the county district attorney is currently prosecuting the case.

“This is a massive prescription drug ring,” Attorney General Jerry Brown said. “They get prescription drug pads, get illegal drugs, then sell them on the street.”

Corey Haim's death shed new light on an illegal drug ring.

The assistant coroner for L.A. County said four prescription drug bottles bearing Mr. Haim’s name were found where he collapsed at his mother's Burbank apartment.

Vicodin and Valium were among Haim's drugs that were found.

The cause of the actor's death has not been determined, adding that a toxicology report could take up to two months. There was no sign of foul play, officials say.

Police detectives have turned the investigation over to the coroner’s office after an autopsy Thursday showed Haim with an enlarged heart and water in his lungs.

Haim was undergoing treatment for prescription drug addiction at the time of his death, said the actor’s agent, Mark Heaslip, and had not taken any pills for a year.

Four pill bottles found in the apartment where Corey Haim died yesterday morning, medications that included the generic versions of both Vicodin and Valium.

The same doctor prescribed all four drugs just days before Haim died.

The drugs provided by a prominent L.A. psychiatrist were hydrocodone (Vicodin), diazepam (Valium), haloperidol (anti-psychotic) and Soma (muscle relaxant).

The L.A. County Coroner's Office would not comment, but sources say that all were prescribed the same day, days before Haim died of an apparent drug overdose.

No word on how many (if any) pills were missing from the bottles, which has become a topic of debate in the eerily similar Brittany Murphy death investigation.

Corey Haim (1971-2010).

Law enforcement sources say they believe Haim died from an accidental overdose of meds, though nothing is final until the Coroner's toxicology reports are in.

There have been reports that Haim, who fought a long battle with substance abuse, admitted in the past to taking as many as 85 Valium pills in a single day.

Haim, a 38-year-old former child star, collapsed in his mother's apartment and was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead 2 1/2 hours later.

The actor had been dating Daisy de la Hoya, a fellow reality star, in the week's leading up to his passing. She is understandably quite broken up about it.

Former child star Corey Haim, who passed away yesterday morning, had eight film projects in the works and was dating a new love interest before he died.

That being Daisy de la Hoya of VH1's Daisy of Love fame.

While it's all relative, things appeared to be looking up for Haim, who famously battled substance abuse for years. He collapsed at home early Wednesday.

His recent love took to (what else) Twitter to express her public devastation: "I'm sooooooo devastated right now," Daisy de la Hoya Tweeted this morning.

"This is the worst day ever I can't believe this."

Daisy de la Hoya and Corey Haim were a thing.

"Daisy loved The Lost Boys, and she always had a crush on Corey," a source close to de la Hoya says. "Their first official date was two weeks ago, but they'd been hanging out a little while before that. Corey invited her to the Playboy Mansion."

"Corey Feldman came, too."

Daisy de la Hoya apparently wanted to help Haim with his struggles. "Daisy knew Corey was doing a lot of drugs, especially prescription meds," the source says. "She thought he was kind and talented, and she wanted to rescue him."

"She became his confidant over the last few weeks. He opened up to her a lot. They were having a lot of fun getting to know each other and seeing what would happen. Corey told Daisy she is a beautiful person with a beautiful heart."

We hope Corey has finally found some inner peace and wish Daisy, along with all the actor's family and friends, nothing but the best in this tragic time.

The surprising death of Corey Haim earlier today came after he collapsed in the bedroom of his mother's apartment and four prescription bottles were found.

Law enforcement sources say Corey had been sick the last couple of days with flu-like symptoms, though the medications recovered were not related to his illness.

No illegal drugs were found in the apartment.

Sources say Haim got out of bed this morning and collapsed in front of his mother. She called 911 at 12:53 a.m. Corey was taken to the hospital and died 2:15 a.m.

A witness at the apartment complex says paramedics spent 20 minutes in the apartment before carrying him out on a stretcher with an oxygen mask over his face.

Authorities have wrapped up their preliminary investigation and believe, though they are not yet certain, that Corey died of an accidental drug overdose.

Corey Haim (1971-2010) had battled prescription drug addiction for years.

The troubled actor was approached in the last 10 days by the casting company for Celebrity Rehab, according to reports, but abruptly declined that offer.

Casting producers say he was "extremely defensive, saying, 'It's the last show I'd ever do.'" He ended the conversation saying "I do not need help."

Dude, even DMX wants Dr. Drew's help. Ain't no shame in it.

Haim will forever be tied to his namesake and fellow former child star, Corey Feldman, with whom he starred in several hit films during the 1980s.

Feldman released a statement on the death of his best friend Haim, which he calls "tragic" and begs people to learn a "lesson" from Haim's passing.

In the statement on Feldman's blog, the actor says "My eyes weren't even open all the way when the tears started streaming down my face."

He adds, "We must all take this as a lesson in how we treat the people we share this world with while they are still here to make a difference.

Actor Corey Haim has been found dead in Los Angeles. He was 38.

The LAPD said that the troubled former child star's death appeared to be the result of an accidental drug overdose, and an investigation is currently underway.

Haim is best known for '80s films License To Drive and The Lost Boys. Haim and actor Corey Feldman starred in License To Drive and Dream a Little Dream.

Sadly, Haim's drug abuse took over his life and helped ruin his once-promising career. He attempted a 2006 comeback with the reality show The Two Coreys

R.I.P. Corey Haim (1971-2010).

The successful show, again pairing him with his namesake, lasted two seasons, but Corey Feldman refused to do a third because of Haim's continued drug use.

We'll have more details on Corey Haim's death if and when they are available as the story develops. We wish his family and friends the best in this tough time.
