The first trailer for Oz: The Great and Powerful dropped today at Comic-Con, and the Sam Raimi-directed prequel to The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, which is slated for a March 2013 release, looks like it will be a sight to behold.

The movie tells how the Wizard arrived in Oz and became the ruler:

Starring James Franco as a magician who is transported to the faraway land, eventually transforming into Oz: The Great and Powerful. We are also introduced to three witches, played by Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, and Michelle Williams.

After Franco's character ends up being drawn into the epic problems facing this strange new world, the legendary Wizard of Oz is born.

Robert Pattinson weighed in on the Fifty Shades of Grey phenomenon today at Comic-Con ... with an obvious reference to the erotic novel's sexiness.

When questioned during the Breaking Dawn: Part 2 panel, he and Kristen Stewart were mum on whether or not they've read the sex-filled bestseller.

If presented with a copy, however, he knows just what he would do.

"I would just sit there and lick the pages," Pattinson said in San Diego, adding, "What are we live on?" realizing his response would gain attention.

Stewart on the other hand, was less upbeat about the topic.

When asked if she reads the novel in a book club with Pattinson and fellow Twilight star Taylor Lautner, she said simply, "That would be disgusting."

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have been mentioned as possible leads in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, however unlikely that may seem.

Comic-Con isn't even underway yet, but it's already making news, and in the worst possible way: Tuesday, a woman was struck by a car and killed in San Diego while waiting in line to see some of her favorite actors from Breaking Dawn Part 2.

Summit Entertainment and Lionsgate released a joint statement today:

"Lionsgate, Summit and the entire Twilight community are saddened by the death of a Comic-Con fan today due to a traffic accident leading up to this year's convention in San Diego. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the victim's family and friends."

"She will be respectfully remembered this Thursday in Hall H."

Twilight, Tokyo Premiere

The Twilight fan community responded just as quickly. Hours after the news of the tragedy broke, "RIPTwiFanG" was trending worldwide on Twitter.

It is unclear how the victim, a 53-year-old woman, will be recognized during the panel, but hopefully fans observe caution from here on out.

It's not uncommon for fans to stand in line for days just to get into to the San Diego Convention Center and capture a glimpse of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene & Co., and who can blame them.

But be careful people. Let this Comic-Con death be the last.
