Former American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken is a happy man.

Not only was he able to artificially inseminate Jaymes Foster and pass on his DNA to Parker Foster Aiken - born to his best friend and former produce in North Carolina August 8 - the singer will be reprising his Broadway role.

Expect Clay back in Monty Python's Spamalot next month!

Clay Aiken, 29, who performed the role of Sir Robin earlier this year from January-May, has signed on for a September 19-January 4 stint.

According to Variety, Clay Aiken’s initial run with Spamalot "had a noticeable effect on box office. Weekly sales surged the week that Aiken joined the cast and took a steep tumble shortly after he departed."

Really, who wouldn't pay to see scenes like the one shown here.

We just hope that Jaymes Foster, 50, who left the hospital Monday, and little Parker are able to catch a few of his performances.

Former American Idol finalist Clay Aiken was seen cradling his newborn son, Parker Foster Aiken, as he left Durham (N.C.) Regional Hospital.

The parents of baby Parker Foster Aiken, along with Clay's mother, rode off to his family home in the North Carolina countryside. How sweet.

Clay Aiken's baby mama, Jaymes Foster, has given birth!

Aiken's mother told a local Raleigh, N.C., TV station that the American Idol runner-up is the proud papa of a baby boy named Parker Foster Aiken.

Jaymes Foster, Clay's 50-year-old record producer BFF, who he impregnated via artificial insemination, gave birth at 8:08 a.m. today - 08/08/08!

Aiken's mother, Faye, said the dark-haired Parker weighs 6 lbs., 2 oz., and is 19" long. She says Clay is "smiling from ear-to-ear" over this.

Mom, dad and baby all are doing fine. Aiken, 29, announced they were expecting - or at least it was revealed - around the end of May.

Clay Aiken and Jaymes Foster, who met when the former starred on American Idol in 2003, will reportedly raise their little spawn together.

UPDATE: Clay Aiken has posted this his official fan site: "HE'S HERE! My dear friend, Jaymes, and I are so excited to announce the birth of Parker Foster Aiken (No hyphens. One first name. One middle name. One last name.) Parker, whose name is his grandmother Faye's middle name, weighed 6 lbs., 2 oz. and was 19 inches long. He was born at 8:08 a.m. Wow ... 8:08 ... 08/08/08. The little man is healthy, happy, and as loud as his daddy. Mama Jaymes is doing quite well also."

That news was big enough. But don't expect him to stop there!

The 29-year-old singer and his 50-year-old producer and friend, who he has impregnated the old-fashioned way (artificial insemination), used advanced IVF therapy to conceive their first child, who is due this summer.

But celebrity news magazines are reporting that Jaymes Foster has already frozen more eggs so they can have a second baby next year.

Aiken has also set aside some sperm. You may vomit at will.

WARNING: This man may not stop at fathering one child.

"[Jaymes Foster] is due in August, so she'd like to conceive again next March," a source says. "That way, she would give birth in December 2009. Clay and Jaymes are committed to having at least two children."

"They're both incredibly successful and wealthy, so money is certainly no object. And Clay just adores children. He is going to make a wonderful and caring father. There's absolutely no doubt about that."

Surely his fans agree.

We've already heard from his fans. Now Clay Aiken's friends are sending support and best wishes after hearing that he's going to be a father with friend and music producer Jaymes Foster.

Foster has been artificially inseminated with Clay's boys.

"Congratulations, Clay!" says American Idol alum Jennifer Hudson. "I think he will be a good parent."

Actor Eric Roberts and wife Eliza says their close friend Foster - the sister of music producer David Foster - pulled them aside at her 50th birthday party in Los Angeles in March to tell them she is pregnant.

Albeit unconventionally, Clay Aiken got Jaymes Foster pregnant!

"This is a story of two people, who perhaps not that typical as parents - whatever typical is - or at a stage of life typical for parent, want to have a child to love and to experience parenthood," Roberts says.

"These people have the best foundation of all to share such an important task, which is a strong, abiding friendship."

Jaymes Foster, who has been friends with Aiken since they worked together on American Idol, is due in August, a rep for David Foster confirms.

Last Thursday, we reported that Clay Aiken and Jaymes Foster are expecting - through artificial insemination. It's a little bit strange.

Well, we can now report two new pieces of news:

1. Jaymes Foster is having a boy!
2. Clay Aiken is far from pleased when you ask him about it!

The former American Idol runner-up demonstrated a rare masculine streak last night, getting all up in the grill of a celebrity gossip photographer from TMZ who just wanted some more information on the unborn child.

Fans of singer Clay Aiken, also known as "Claymates" are showing support after a representative for producer David Foster confirmed that Aiken is fathering a child. David's sister, music producer Jaymes Foster, is the mother.

"OMG Clay Aiken is my Hero," writes one fan on a Clay site.

"I love him and wish him the best of luck!"

Adds another on the same site:

"Now today I almost choked on my sandwich, Clay is going to be a father? And in three months? It blew me over. All I can say is 'Congratulations!' That is going to be one handsome and talented baby."

Still, some have expressed doubts about Clay Aiken's impending fatherhood.

"How can he have time with his baby if he's always on a busy schedule. Like tours, CD releases, talk show[s]. Life becomes crazy with a baby."

Many people have long speculated that Clay Aiken may be gay.

Why? No idea. Well, he's apparently not - he's gotten someone pregnant... though her name is Jaymes. Our point? We have none. We're just saying.

According to TMZ, Clay Aiken is going to be a daddy, having knocked up Jaymes Foster. No, we're serious! Clay Aiken and Jaymes Foster are expecting!

Sources say that the baby mama is a record producer, who produced some of his albums and is Clay's best friend. He lives with her when he's in L.A.

Jaymes Foster, seen here with Clay Aiken, is due in August.

She's the sister of record excutive and (Brody Jenner's stepfather) David Foster. Jaymes Foster in her late 40s, though her exact age is not known.

She divorced a few years back and has no kids. Clay Aiken is 29.

UPDATE: Apparently Jaymes Foster was artificially inseminated.

Clay is a gonna be more than just sperm to her, however - he will have an active role in raising her child. Aiken's rep has not yet commented. Stay tuned.

Say what you want about Clay Aiken, but the American Idol runner-up from season two is nothing if not unique.
