Just as it appears Prince William is about to tie the knot, and Rupert Friend may finally suck it up and pop the question to Keira Knightley... another celebrity couple is finalizing its divorce.

Yes, it's true. Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen are officially single.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Marjorie Steinberg has approved their dissolution of marriage, effective as of November 17.

The couple will share joint visitation rights of their two children, Sam, 2, and Lola, 1.

Sheen and Richards were married in a Catholic ceremony at the home of a Spin City producer on June 15, 2002 (Sheen starred on the popular show for two years after Michael J. Fox left).

It was Richards first and Sheen's second marriage. The couple met filming the movie Good Advice in 2001.

While their separation was ugly, the two have warmed a bit in recent months, with Sheen going as far as to say that he "digs" Denise's new man, Richie Sambora. Richards filed for divorce citing "irreconcilible differences" when she pregnant with their second child.

THG NOTE: "Irreconcilable differences" is code for "Charlie Sheen is really addicted to drugs and sex with prostitutes, and I need a restraining order."

Charlie Sheen may be growing up. He's helping with charitable causes that sometimes includes drag queens - and also being nice to his ex-wife.

The Two and a Half Men star and Denise Richards were seen playing with their kids together a couple weeks ago. That whole restraining order thing seems like centuries ago. Or at least a few months.

"Yeah, we're trying to put all that nonsense aside and do what's right for the children," Sheen told Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show, "At least I knew the guy she wound up with!"

The actor is talking about Richie Sambora, of course, his former pal and long-time Bon Jovi guitarist. Joking aside, however, Sheen actually stands by Richards' choice of boyfriend following their split.

"To know that there's somebody decent and smart and a good parent that's gonna be around your children, thats a good thing," Stern said.

What a nice, mature, perfect stance. Good to see Charlie growing up. But we hope Lindsay Lohan doesn't join him any time soon in doing so.

Charlie's entered the dating scene as well, coupling up with sexy brunette Brooke Mueller, though he was tight-lipped about his new flame, saying only, "She's fabulous."

Charlie Sheen is a busy man.

First, he asked for - and received - a raise raise for Two and a Half Men. Then, he spent time with ex-wife, Denise Richards and current girlfriend, Brooke Mueller.

Most recently, the actor and Mueller showed some love for the gays Sunday night at a fundraiser for Aid For AIDS in Los Angeles. The event is an annual kind of beauty pageant where seven contestants in drag battle it out for the title of "Best In Show 2006."

Sheen was one of several celebrity judges who helped pick the winner. Word is that they also asked Paris Hilton - but she was too drugged up to attend. Just kidding.

Donating nearly four hours of his Sunday night was not the only way that Charlie showed his support, however. He also made a $10,000 donation to the organization.

The $250,000 raised last night goes towards helping people living with HIV and AIDS pay their rent, utilities and buy groceries when they're sick and incapable of working. It's a good cause - and it's nice to see Sheen find his inner Bono.

Sometimes, the best thing for a dysfunctional family to do is hang out as if nothing ever went wrong. And for the cheating, drug-addicted, porn-loving, bastard of an ex-husband to bring along his new girlfriend. No -- actually this is not a post about Sara Evans, believe it or not.

With their divorce behind them, Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards take the next step -- spending a day together with their daughters Sam, 2, and Lola, 1, in Los Angeles. Note that the actor's girlfriend, Brooke Mueller, joined in on the family outing. Hey, what are a few prostitutes between former spouses?

One wonders why Denise didn't bring along Richie Sambora for the heck of it -- this couldn't get much weirder.

See, kids, this is how you work out a marital dispute. It may have taken Denise Richards a few weeks to figure it out, but restraining orders are rarely the answer.

Richards and ex-husband, Charlie Sheen, have come to an agreement that actually allows the Two and a Half Men star to come withint three football field of his former flame. The order of protection that had previously limited him to a distance of 300 yards has been terminated.

Isn't that sweet?

As the couple's divorce proceeding drags on, the pair will try to reach agreement on child custody, as well. There's little truth to the rumor that the troubled tyke would prefer to live with Britney Spears over either of these lunatics.

Finally, Richards and Sheen will try to hammer out a property settlement agreement. The only stumbling block? Who will receive the syndication money for Two and a Half Men. The other question on hand is:

The incomparable Britney Spears has reportedly approached bad boy and average actor Charlie Sheen to help launch her long-rumored children's fashion line.

Britney reportedly adores the "Sheen Kidz" clothing range that Charlie launched with business partner Michael Berens earlier this year.

"Brit's people approached Sheen Kidz out of the blue," a source told OK! magazine. "She'd seen his clothing and really liked it. She wants to start her own children's clothing line and she thought Sheen Kidz would be able to help get things off the ground."

For now, Spears has been content to play stylist to 11-month-old son Sean Preston. But she aspires to take her children's fashion sense (if you can call it that) to the next level.

The star of TV's Two and a Half Men (which is approximately 2.5 more men than Britney's husband, Kevin Federline, can say he is) has launched his clothing line in more than 125 stores across the U.S. But he is apparently keen to work with Britney too… once she gives birth and gets that hot body back, presumably.

A source, which is definitely reliable, confirmed as much.

"Charlie believes it would be fun to work with Britney."

Two and a Half Greedy Men?

CBS may have to change the name of its number-one comedy now that Charlie Sheen has asked for a significant pay hike. He's seeking a raise to $1 million per episode, which would be a million for every restraning order against the actor.

If Sheen succeed scores the pay day, he'd be making roughly five times his current salary, while being inducted into an exclusive circle of the highest paid television actors, such as the former Friends cast, who each earned $1 million an episode during the series' final seasons.

Does anyone really find Charlie Sheen that funny?

Two and a Half Men isn't the most critically acclaimed sitcome of all-time; although Sheen has received an Emmy nomination this year.

Co-stars Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones, are also seeking to bulk up their bank accounts, though neither currently makes as much as Sheen nor would ask for as much.

Meanwhile, often nude Denise Richards filed a court order weeks ago to keep Sheen away from her and their two children.

He may have been daydreaming about cheerleaders or riding crops, but Charlie Sheen was at least on his best behavior last week when he met the parents of his new girlfriend.

Brooke Mueller, the daughter of Palm Beach socialite Moira Fiore, has been stepping doing the nasty with Sheen for a few weeks now. The elder Fiore said she and husband John went to California last week to be introduced to Sheen, 40. Her recount of the events:

"I've never seen my daughter happier," Fiore said. "She told me they laugh morning, noon and night, and that she's never been more comfortable with someone. Charlie says he loves her personality and, of course, her looks. As a mother, if they're happy, I'm happy."

And as a naughty sex fiend, if her daugher's hot, Sheen is happy. Other reports state that the ex-husband of Denise Richards introduced Brooke to his parents, including West Wing president, Martin, on Mother's Day.
