Sigh. Sarah Palin is back in the news again.

For whatever reason, the ex-Alaska Governor took First Lady Michelle Obama and her efforts to improve childhood nutrition to task on Laura Ingraham's radio show.

Carrie Fisher Pre-Weight Loss

We know conservatives believe in smaller government, and there are strong cases to be made for that philosophy. Attacking Michelle's nutrition initiative, though?

Sarah Palin is not a fan of Michelle Obama's anti-obesity efforts.

Of the First Lady, Palin told Ingraham that "I think she has got a different worldview and she is not hesitant at all to share what her worldview is."

As for Sarah Palin's worldview, no one can make sense of it, but she does use big words like "exceptionalism" in the rant against Michelle below:

Rachael Leigh Cook feels pretty strongly about how some magazines alter images of celebrities, and how that impacts the unrealistic expectations of young girls.

At the Healthy Media for Youth Summit in DC, the She's All That star told Fox News about her own struggles with body image and food issues. Excerpts:

Carrie Fisher Pre-Weight Loss

On celebrity photos in magazines: "Nothing that you see is real, even if you look at what looks like a candid photo of someone, anything can be done."

Rachel Leigh Cook is not a fan of image altering.

On how this should be considered a crime: "It is false advertising and false advertising is a crime so why isn't this a crime? I'm just up in arms about it."

On weight gain while filming The Babysitter's Club at age 15: "I remember gaining a bit of weight on the first movie I worked on because, 'hey, free food!'"

On developing food issues as a result: "When you're in a transitional phase in your teenage years, I think it's a normal reaction to develop food issues."

Hmm. Maybe we know what happened to the Lady Gaga meat dress.

A photo from the Norwegian leg of Lady Gaga's Monster Ball tour appears to show the singing sensation and rumored hermaphrodite with a slightly fuller figure.

Lady Gaga Out Cover

Rather than being critical, we'd say that change is a good thing!

Is Lady Gaga a touch heavier lately? If so ... good for her.

While she still looks incredible in her costumes, gone is the stick-thin frame that prompted worries among fans - and sparked six hospitalizations in 2009 alone.

Lady Gaga has a history of struggling with her weight, and the "dangerous diets" the singer has dabbled in amid her rise to stardom may be largely responsible.

Gaga's performances Saturday and Sunday nights in Oslo weren't affected by her fuller figure, as she still rocked all night with a plethora of costume changes.

We're just glad that she's looking healthier.

Her weight has fluctuated more often than Lindsay Lohan's blood-alcohol level, but Kirstie Alley is proud to announce that it's been a good few months.

"I've lost over 50 lbs... and I'm having the time of my of my life," she Tweeted yesterday, adding: 30 more to gooooo."

Kirstie Alley after, and Kirstie Alley before. Best of luck with your new figure, girlfriend!

In 2009, the actress confessed that she had shot up to 230 pounds, a sad reversal to the 75-pound weight loss she enjoyed via Jenny Craig in 2006.

When a magazine plays up some female celebrity's "revenge body," most of the time it's total nonsense. But in the case of Kate Gosselin's new People magazine cover, there might be something to it. She actually looks good. Really good.

Like, blow-Jon's-cadre-of-mediocre-girls-out-of-the-water good.

Kate Gosselin has been working out like a madman lately.

At 35, the mother of eight and rumored girlfriend of Steve Neild may be making him one lucky protector. She is now "the most fit I've ever been," she says.

How? No plastic surgery for this reality star. She credits near-daily runs outside her Wernersville, Penn., home, and she's not afraid to show off the results.

"I've worked really hard!" she tells People in its cover story. "Haven't I earned the right, at this point, to look good?" You bet she has. Here's the result:

You're likely familiar with the parents of Katherine Schwarzenegger.

But this is probably the first time you've heard of this 20-year old, which speaks to the new author's upbringing. Speaking to USA Today about Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and mother Maria Shriver, the USC junior said:

Muscle Wasting

"They were very protective of having us in the public eye when we were younger. We didn't go to Hollywood premieres. We practiced community service. We went to school and camp like normal kids."

Despite this healthy childhood, Katherine has written a book - "Rock What You've Got: Secrets to Loving Your Inner and Outer Beauty From Someone Who's Been There and Back," out tomorrow - which details the struggles she faced as a fourth grader.

"It was the first time I was aware of my body and compared what I looked like to what other girls looked like. It freaked me out," she says. "I want to let girls know they are not alone with the changes and doubts about their body."

Schwarzenegger stands 5'8" and is a size 6.

In a photo that was totally not staged, Bethenny Frankel totally did not make thousands of dollars for splashing through the water in a bikini earlier this month in Montauk, New York.

According to Life & Style, it was the first time this reality star donned a bathing suit since giving birth in May and "she looked amazing," said a witness, adding:

"She looked like she'd lost all the baby weight, and she was toned, too. Even her tush was remarkable."

That sound you hear? Jason Hoppy totally slapping that impressive backside. Oohhh yeah!

Frankel says she's lost 33 pounds since squeezing out daughter Bryn this spring. How did she do it?

"There's been no real drastic any thing. I've really been eating, just not like a crazy person," she said, offering up this unhealthy piece of advice: "Taste everything, eat nothing."

We guess that's better than Kim Kardashian and her QuickTrim-based motto for dieting: Eat everything. Crap it all out.

Whether it's food or Eric Johnson, Jessica Simpson is very thoughtful about what she puts into her body. As a result, she's looking a lot better lately!

The popular 1990s/early 2000s singer appeared thinned out on the new cover of Lucky magazine, and she is opening up about struggle to stay fit.

"I think a woman always stresses out about their weight," she says.

"It’s just a woman thing - unless you’re the women we don’t like that are supermodels that are just naturally fantastic. But I’m a curvy girl. I have to always be conscious of everything I’m putting into my body, if I’m going to be working out."

Jessica Simpson: Full Figured

Jessica Simpson now and early last year. Nice!

Jessica also set the record straight about rumors that she's been asked to become a judge on American Idol. Shocker alert - that was just a rumor.

"I mean, I don't think so," she says. "I haven't gotten a phone call."

If she were to become a judge, though, how would she react to it?

"I'm not a very judgmental person, so I could probably stick my foot in my mouth a couple times," she says, though she does have something to offer.

"I am a singer and I do know if it's going to happen for someone or not."

There you go. Follow the jump for an interview clip with Jess ...

It might look like all fun, games, amazing dinners and contrived drama, but filming a reality show like The Bachelorette can be tough. Just ask Ali Fedotowsky.

“I was always hungry!” she tells OK! about how she gained 10 pounds on the show (not that anyone knew). “I didn’t think much of it, but everyone noticed.”

We doubt it. We've seen no Bachelorette spoilers about Ali's alleged weight gain. If anything, an extra few pounds look good on her. But it's all good either way.

How did she change her eating habits when she got back home?

“I am good during the week, and one day I pig out,” Ali says. “But I don’t cook! I am learning a little bit. I can be hard to eat healthy when you don’t cook."

"I love egg white omelets because I can actually cook the egg whites myself! I also go to the grocery store, and I will buy the ready-made grilled chicken."

"I buy 4-5 at a time, and I’ll have them with a salad - a prepared salad from a bag.” And there's your Ali Fedotowsky diet, folks. But what about exercise?

“I am not the person who will be at the gym all the time,” she says. “Usually, I do the treadmill for about 30 minutes, or I will try to do something else.”

Something that helps take out aggression at Frank Neuschaefer?

“I love kickboxing. I have a personal trainer for it. We do contact kickboxing; she holds the pads up for me. It’s such a great workout for my core."

"You can think of ex-boyfriends while you’re doing it!"

Who should she pick on the August 2 finale?

Ripped, he's not. But Jon Gosselin is slightly less fat! Allegedly.

According to In Touch, when he hit beach in Ocean City, N.J., on July 8, "he looked like a new man." If that's true, how fat and out of shape was he beforehand?

The dad of eight looked "toned, tanned and healthier than ever" (guess it's all relative) while strolling the beach with his boring, bikini-clad girlfriend, Ellen Ross.

"Jon's made time for himself," says a friend, which he apparently has. "Jon is doing whatever he can to ensure he'll be around for his kids as long as possible."

All kidding aside, kudos to Jon Gosselin if that's true.

His days of heavy drinking, smoking and parading around with mediocre girls made for good gossip, but not a healthy lifestyle. Our one question for you, though ...

Jon Gosselin: Ripped!

Jon Gosselin: Would you hit it?
