Jessica Simpson gained A LOT of weight while pregnant with Maxwell Drew.

That's not a criticism - Maxi was an enormous baby - but she also says she was somewhat responsible: "I let myself indulge in everything I wanted because it was the first time I was ever pregnant, and I wanted to enjoy it," Jess told USA Today.

Little did she know the impact this would have on her body over the long-term.

"I didn't realize [the weight] didn't all come off with the baby," says Simpson.

She's now given up many of those foods, however, while doing Weight Watchers as the company's newest spokeswoman. She appears in the ads next week.

She hasn't revealed her current weight, nor what she weighed at her heaviest, but says she's lost weight each week on WW. How much remains to be seen.

Simpson works out 4-5 times a week, but mostly walks instead of runs because, well, "my boobs are way too big to run at this point."

"My body is not bouncing back like a supermodel ... I'm just your everyday woman trying to feel good and be healthy for her daughter, her fiancé and herself."

Simpson, who is engaged to former NFL player Eric Johnson, will reveal her post-baby body on Katie Couric's new show, Katie, on September 10.

Good luck Jessica. Good luck.

It's been less than five months since Peter Facinelli and Jennie Garth split after 11 years of marriage, but she already looks quite a lot different.

Noticeably slimmer, to be more specific.

On a media tour in NYC August 7, Garth, 40, is discussing life as a single mom of three, as chronicled on CMT's Jennie Garth: A Little Bit County.

Jennie Garth yesterday (left), and in 2010.

"I always said I would rather lick a dirty floor than go back to dating," Garth said. "[Dating] is very new for me. I have training wheels on right now."

"I was married [for so long]. That's my whole adult life, basically. I think I'm actually going back into adult adolescence. I'm having a moment."

Garth, who has been linked to HGTV's Antonio Ballatore, said that she's "met a few people of the opposite sex" but is finding it hard to date again.

"They come into it knowing who I am or my history," the actress opined. "While I know nothing about them, so I have a weird disadvantage."

Definitely. Non-ironic marketing at its finest.

A blogger who attacked Kate Upton’s sexy figure, likening the curvy model to a cow and a pig, is facing severe backlash for her harsh comments.

The unnamed female blogger, who acknowledges preferring the "skinny aesthetic," trashed Upton in a July 8 post on the website "Skinny Gurl."

She has since been deluged with angry emails and threatened with rape and death ... none of which is cool, but neither were her initial remarks.

Kate Upton Curves

The blogger wrote that Upton, during a June modeling event, was "confidently lumbering up the runway like there's a buffet at the end of it."

She also called her a "little piggie" with "huge thighs, NO waist, big fat floppy boobs, and terrible body definition" and likened Kate to a cow.

Since then, fans and fashion world insiders have denounced the blogger for calling Kate Upton too fat and risen to the 20-year-old's defense.

Lesley Jane Seymour, editor-in-chief of More magazine, said:

"Running a site where you actually praise women for staying emaciated, than attacking someone who has a normal body, I mean, you've got issues."

"She's laughing all the way to the bank," supermodel/author Carol Alt said of Upton. "I would just say keep your end up and keep moving forward."

Hacker group Anonymous - apparently big Upton fans, or just bored, launched a cyber attack against Skinny Gurl, forcing her to change web hosts.

Let's face it: Jessica Simpson has seen slimmer days.

But the singer does have a valid, adorable excuse. His name is Maxwell Drew Johnson.

And Kendra Wilkinson is simply aghast that folks are giving Simpson a hard time for not yet having lost all the weight she gained carrying her son to term.

  • Kendra Wilkinson in Sin City
  • Jessica Simpson in Toronto

"That just breaks my heart," Wilkinson tells Yahoo! OMG of the criticism leveled at Simpson's figure. "I feel for her. I was in the same boat. People just need to mind their own business. That's a woman who just gave birth.

""Her first priority right now is her child. Her first priority is not losing the weight. You should be proud of her for that. A lot of people just dump their kids off at nannies and lose the weight overnight. We should all be proud of her for being real and taking control and making priorities."

That may be the most intelligent thing Kendra has ever said.

Simpson, meanwhile, is profiting mightily off her body. She recently signed a $4 million deal with Weight Watchers.

Kate Upton has gained a massive following due to her sexy curves, but surprisingly, her famous figure has landed her a number of harsh critics as well.

Modeling's newest "it" girl is a frequent punching bag of the website SkinnyGossip (dot) com, which has been linked to promoting anorexia in the past.

We thought people liked curvy models in general, but this worthless site features a list of "Starving Tip[s] of the Day" aimed at impressionable girls.

No wonder Kate Upton has become its mortal enemy.

SkinnyGossip refers to Kate with terms such as "thick," "lardy," "squishy brick," "pregnant," "well-marbled" and even "cannibal" (for her Carl's Jr. ad).

An anti-Upton post on the site reads:

"Is this what American women are 'striving' for? The lazy, lardy look? Have we really gotten so fat in this country that Kate is the best we can aim for?"

Victoria's Secret casting director Sophia Neophitou also had some harsh words for the model and her voluptuousness, telling the New York Times:

"We would never use her. She's like a Page 3 girl. She's like a footballer's wife, with the too-blond hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can buy."

Fortunately, this awfulness hasn't seemed to faze the 20-year-old ... or millions of male admirers salivating over Kate Upton photos of her Cat Daddy video.

What do you think of Kate Upton's body?

Reality star Bethenny Frankel of The Real Housewives of New York City and Bethenny Ever After fame is coming out with a new novel and talk show as well.

That's on top of her Skinny Girl margarita line and everything else tied in with her extensive brand. When does she have time for cheating on Jason Hoppy?

We're kidding, mostly. But this skinny girl is a busy girl. What kind of weight loss advice does she dispense to women on the go in this lightning-fast age?

A Bethenny Frankel Image

Recently, Frankel talked about dieting and how she maintains her figure (and sanity). Some of her tips on how to get the body, love and shoes you deserve:

  1. Eat good stuff. “I used to starve, then binge, and was 25 pounds heavier. I tried every diet from Beverly Hills to South Beach," she says. Don't do that.
  2. Realize there is no perfect. “I know there is no ‘right’ way of doing things ... The more you see your own ideas work, the stronger you’ll feel.”
  3. Cry if you want to. “Martha Stewart told me that women in business don’t cry. I say crying’s fine as long as you’re doing your job.”

Guess it's pretty obvious Catelynn Lowell is not pregnant.

In a recent Twitter photo, the Teen Mom star showed that she's shed 22 pounds since she joined Weight Watchers last summer, and she's not done yet!

"I was more than 165 pounds, which is so gross!" the 5-foot-2 reality star admitted. "Now I'm 144. I only have 20 more to lose until I'm at my goal."

Check out the photo of her new, thinner frame below:

The bride-to-be says she'll fit in her dream wedding dress, too: "I put it on and started bawling. I knew that was it. I love it and can't wait to wear it!"

During the Teen Mom season premiere, she tweeted, "I can't believe how much weight I have lost watching this makes me want to lose way more!"

And her fiance Tyler Baltierra, 20, makes for a good workout partner. The MTV stars hit the gym three times a week, and he's her biggest fan!

Baltierra also Tweeted his support for her weight loss, writing, "Cate has lost so much weight, I never even noticed before! Good job babe."

With a photo, he said, "See her now! Freaking love her."

Aww. One thing they don't freaking love is the rumors that they're having another baby. Apparently Cate's mom impersonated her and told a tabloid.

The Food and Drug Administration has approved the anti-obesity pill Belviq, the first such prescription drug for long-term weight loss to be approved in years.

Despite only achieving relatively modest weight loss in clinical studies, the drug appeared safe enough to win the FDA's endorsement, according to reports.

The agency cleared the pill Wednesday for adults who are obese or are overweight with at least one medical complication, such as diabetes or high cholesterol.

Weight Loss

The FDA denied approval for Arena Pharmaceuticals' drug in 2010 after scientists raised concerns about tumors that developed in animals studied with the drug.

The company resubmitted the drug with additional data earlier this year, and the FDA said there was little risk of tumors in humans, so it got the nod.

With U.S. obesity rates nearing 35 percent of the adult population, many doctors have called on the FDA to approve new weight loss medication ASAP.

But a long line of prescription weight loss offerings have been associated with safety problems, including those linked to problems like heart valve damage.

In a rare move, the FDA explicitly stated in a press release that Belviq "does not appear to activate" a chemical pathway that was linked to heart problems.

The FDA says the drug acts on a different chemical pathway in the brain, which is believed to reduce appetite by boosting feelings of satiety and fullness.

Belviq is one of three experimental weight-loss drugs whose developers have been trying again to win approval, after the FDA nixed them in 2010-2011.

No word if Kim Kardashian is eyeing a Belviq endorsement deal.

Paula Deen knew it was time to shamelessly cash in on for a change.

Six months after announcing she was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, the Food Network star revealed how she devised a slim-down strategy.

One that has helped her shed 30 pounds already, according to People.

"I do think differently [about food] now," Deen says. "I'm more aware."

Paula Deen Thinner

So instead of regular meals with favorite "trigger" foods, the Southern chef has developed a newfound love for Greek salads and baked fish.

Her focus has paid off so far, with a slimmer frame and fatter bank account, thanks to the diabetes meds she's shilling for. Living the dream!

"It took me a couple of years to get to this point," says Deen, who faced harsh criticism when she finally announced her diagnosis in January.

"If you make a few small changes, they can add up to big results."

Results may include longer life span and/or total loss of scruples.
