Last week, Jessica Simpson married Eric Johnson in a Fourth of July ceremony attended by Jess and Eric's closest family and friends.

Naturally, Jessica's father and former manager was on hand, and according to some reports he brought his much younger boyfriend, Jonathan Keith.

Sources say 55-year-old Joe's decision to bring 21-year-old Jonathan as his guest created major controversy at the reception, which isn't surprising.

"Jess' mom was hurt," one insider tells In Touch.

Joe and Tina Simpson divorced in 2012 after three decades together amidst rumors that he had been cheating on her with a number of much younger men.

Joe repeatedly denied that he's gay in the wake of his separation, but rumors of Simpson dating Jonathan Keith began to surface just months after he split from Tina.

"It's all about family for us," Simpson tells People in the cover story, which features exclusive details from the big day as well as 27 more photographs.

The bride asked her mom, Tina Simpson, and her sister, Ashlee Simpson, to be her maids of honor. Eric's dad, Stephen, served as his best man.

Ashlee's fiance, Evan Ross, was one of 11 groomsmen. In addition to Tina and Ashlee, Jessica Simpson had 12 bridesmaids watching as she married Eric Johnson!

Her ordained minister father, Joe Simpson, officiated the nuptials, while their kids, flower girl Maxwell, 2, and ring bearer Ace, 1, really stole the show.

It was all about Eric and Jess on this day, though.

Mother of two Jessica Simpson married Eric Johnson in California last weekend, and the best wedding gift of all came from an unlikely source:

People magazine!

The publication reportedly shelled out $300,000 for exclusive rights to photos and other content from the big soiree, which Simpson said was “magical.”

NEWLYWEDS!
Hooray for Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson. These two tied the knot in July 2014.

Made a little more so by that donation, no doubt, by the magazine that has shelled out big bucks for similar wedding stories and images in the past.

Both Drew Barrymore and Kim Kardashian (when she wed Kris Humphries, not 'Ye) were paid handsomely by People, which approached Jessica.

“There was no bidding war,” says an insider.

The only competition People worried about was Instagram. Sources say all the guests at the lavish wedding “were told no cell phones, no photographs.”

Simply. Gorgeous.

People Magazine has given fans their first look at Jessica Simpson in her custom-designed Carolina Herrera gown and veil, posting an exclusive photo to its Instagram page of the singer on what she’s described as the “happiest” day of her life.

It took place over the weekend when Simpson exchanged vows with long-time boyfriend Eric Johnson.

As previously reported, Simpson may have flubbed her marital lines a bit, but she clearly made no such mistake in the fashion department:

Newlyweds Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard of TLC's 19 Kids and Counting fame, who married last weekend, were open about saving their first kiss for marriage.

Now that they have done the deed, was it worth it?

You had better believe it was. And then some.

In a swoon-worthy moment, Derick dramatically dips his new bride, the second daughter of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, in a passionate embrace.

As first kisses go, Jill Duggar's first kiss may be among the most memorable. The new wife's assessment of the long-awaited wedding day lip lock?

"It was so worth the wait," she tells People.

The duo exchanged vows at Cross Church in her hometown of Springdale, Ark., in front of more than 1,000 guests, including every one of Jill's 18 siblings.

Jill made no secret of holding off on the physical side of things until she married Derick Dillard, who shares her strong Christian beliefs and happily obliged.

Jay Z and Beyonce's On the Run tour kicked off in Southern Florida last night and the first couple of hip hop had a special surprise for the crowd on hand:

That's Instagram footage of the concert. The most interesting part is the footage-within-the-footage which shows some never-before-seen clips of the Jay and Beyonce's wedding.

As you may recall, the Jay and Bey nuptials were a low-key press-free affair. Basically the opposite of the Kim Kardashian-Kanye West wedding.

The video shows not only the wedding itself but also features some footage of the Carters getting their matching wedding ring tattoos. The same tattoo Beyonce had removed in the days following the Jay-Solange fight scandal, according to rumors.

The wedding of Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard finally arrived on Saturday, and it featured the princess dress to end all princess dresses. Two of them, in fact.

Jill Duggar Wedding Pic: First Kiss!

The Duggars' youngest daughter, four-year-old Josie, served as a flower girl. Duggar Number 19 was born prematurely at 1.5 pounds, but is now thriving.

"She got on her princess dress finally," mom Michelle Duggar said. "She has been begging to put it on. That is the most awesome princess dress ever."

Jill Duggar had a princess dress of her own, from Ava Laurenne Bride in Fredericksburg, Va. It was an Allure Romance gown with Swarovski crystals.

With it came a chapel length train that co-shop owner Wendy Rivera changed from an originally strapless dress into the "modest, yet elegant," gown Jill wanted.

Then, using lace from a veil, Rivera and seamstress Moni Reeise created a custom top that fit in perfectly with the rest of Jill Duggar's wedding dress.

19 Kids and Counting star Jill Duggar is probably up to 19 kisses (at least) with new husband Derick Dillard after tying the knot Saturday in Arkansas.

The religious couple, as you're likely aware if you know who they are, her shared their first kiss EVER at their wedding, in accordance with their beliefs.

Much has been made of the fact that when Jill Duggar married Derick Dillard, they had never done more - physically - than hold hands. But their bond is deep.

From the moment they were introduced by her dad Jim Bob, the two felt an undeniable connection, one that only grew over Skype, and at last in person.

Here's a look back at the duo's magical road to the altar, including when they first heard of one another, when they first spoke, met, got engaged and more!

Their First Meeting (Sort Of)!
The Arkansas natives grew up within 45 minutes of each other, but didn't meet until late 2011. Jill recalled when Derick stopped by while caroling with a church group, and not long after, "Derick contacted my dad and asked if he would be a prayer partner during his two-year term in Nepal."
