It's not exactly far-fetched when you think about it, but did you know that Kat Von D once tattooed the Mother Monster? Well, now you do - and can watch it!

The L.A. Ink finale was last, but far more noteworthy than anything that took place on the show is this footage of Kat Von D and Lady Gaga back in 2008.

You know Gaga wasn't a global superstar just yet because she's still wearing pants (albeit metallic blue spandex ones) as she converses with the tattoo artiste:

"You're from New York, right?" Von D asks. "Yeah, I was born and raised in Manhattan, and I just moved out here," Lady Gaga replies, almost quaintly.

"I'm a singer, but I'm also a songwriter for other artists, so I've just been workin' and doing shows." We'd say it's worked out fairly well for her since.

Apparently Kat, who is responsible for some of the better known celebrity tattoos out there, did some of the roses that adorn Gaga's body. Fun fact!

While Selena Gomez's new tattoo blatantly proclaims her love for Justin Bieber, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi opted to get link that signifies love in the broader sense.

Snooki's new shoulder tattoo, which she posted a photo of on Twitter over the weekend, features what looks like a large crown, heart and pearls on a pink bow.

She wrote on Twitter: "MY NEW TAT. BADASS." Agree? Peep it:

Selena Gomez performed at the Mandalay Bay Event Center at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday night, and it was an apt location.

Why? Because the singer is taking a major gamble with a new tattoo.

Made evident to all when she raised her right hand in the air, Gomez now sports the inked-on name of "Justin," with a heart added on below. Hmmm... we wonder to whom this could be referring. Any ideas, readers?

In a recent interview, meanwhile, Justin Bieber did not say he wanted to marry Selena, nor did he even mention her by name. But the singer did make it clear that children are in his not-so-distant future.

Are these two moving too quickly? A tattoo is pretty much as permanent as it gets, after all. What do you think? Selena tattooing her boyfriend's name on her wrist is...

UPDATE: Selena's rep confirms this is NOT a real tattoo. Nevertheless, it's a bold, public statement.

Lindsay Lohan recently paid tribute to fellow Long Islander Billy Joel ... by having some lyrics from his 1989 song "I Go To Extremes" tattooed on her rib cage.

The words "Clear as a crystal, sharp as a knife, I feel like I'm in the prime of my life" have been affixed to the waifish body of America's favorite train wreck.

While that song is pretty cool, it doesn't hold a candle to some of Joel's earlier work. Nor does Lindsay's ink compare to LeAnn Rimes' tattoo of her wedding vows.

In any case, Lindsay Lohan felt the lyric was important as "It represented where she is in life and everything she's been through ... it signifies that she's focused."

Try to at least be somewhat subtle as you stifle your laughter.

Megan Fox has already feuded with Michael Bay, and she isn't too happy with Shia LaBeouf. But the actress has saved her latest fury for a surprising target:

Marilyn Monroe.

The 25-year-old tells Italian fashion magazine Amica that she's in the process of laser removing the tattoo of the legend from her forearm because "she was a negative person, she was disturbed, bipolar. I do not want to attract this kind of negative energy in my life."

Worst Megan Fox photo ever, we know. Here's one to make up for it, guys.

It's true that Monroe died at age 36 of a drug overdose. But Fox nine other tattoos on her body, including a quote in honor of Mickey Rourke, her co-star in Passion Play and not exactly a model citizen himself.

In the Palin family, "T" stands for "family." That makes perfect sense, then, why Bristol Palin would get a cursive "T" tattooed on herself recently.

Bristol got the ink on her right foot, with her rep explaining: "T is for Tripp, Trig, Track and Todd," her son, two brothers and father, respectively.

The totally terrific tribute. See what we did there??!

Palin debuted the new tattoo, not that you can see it here, at a lunch date at Pink's Hot Dogs in West Hollywood, Calif., with Kyle and Chris Massey.

She is reportedly dating Kyle Massey, much to mother Sarah Palin's chagrin, and will be starring with him and his brother Chris on a new reality show.

Yes, we're serious.

LeAnn Rimes got a tattoo on Sunday to honor hubby Eddie Cibrian.

Fortunately, unlike certain people (cough, Kat Von D), he is believed to have gotten only a temporary one ... and not a giant picture of her man's face.

The 28-year-old country star had her wedding vows written onto her ribcage at Lollapalooza's Miami Express Yourself Oasis and Express Rocks suite.

The homage to her marriage to The Playboy Club star reads: "You gave me the courage to be truthful. I promise to give you the comfort to be trustful."

Infamously, both Rimes and Cibrian, 38, were married to other people when they fell in love on the set of the Lifetime film Northern Lights in 2008.

Their affair was exposed. Tumult ensued. Rimes' and Cibrian's respective marriages began to implode, even as they tried to deny the affair at first.

Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans hit up a parlor on Hollywood Boulevard Sunday night and got a tattoo bearing her son’s name, Jace, on her wrist.

After a trip to McDonald's, the troubled North Carolina native, 19, decided to get some ink. Evans was later snapped with pals, rocking the tat.

The train wreck should have gotten 8/24 and 9/9 tattooed on her wrists instead. Those are the next two court dates she has to look forward to.

Later this month, Jenelle faces a hearing for her alleged probation violation. Reports say Evans tested positive for THC in mid-July, having smoked the weed.

In September, she'll be in court for her assault on Britany Truett.

Maybe instead of getting a tattoo to show how much she supposedly loves Jace, she should actually get her $h!t together and act like a good parent.

Just a suggestion. Moron.

It's small, but important and effective and it forces us to give major props to Miley Cyrus.

The singer Tweeted the words "All LOVE is Equal," last night, along with her new tattoo, which is an equal sign. Check it out below:

Cyrus has made her views on gay marriage well known over the years. She spoke out against Carrie Prejean in 2009 and she brought up the topic in contrast with the Casey Anthony verdict a few weeks ago.

In this example, someone disagreed with Miley over Twitter, which prompted the following response: "where does it say in the bible to judge others? Oh right. It doesn't. GOD is the only judge honey. 'GOD is love.'"

It's the word fans often utter when they see Justin Bieber live: Jesus.

It's also the son of God who many believe will one day return to earth, as well as the basis for this singer's new tattoo.

In May, Justin and his father both got inked with the Hebrew word for "Jesus" along their upper bodies. Based on the following photos, it looks like a painful experience, but also one that brought the pair closer together. We wonder what Selena Gomez thinks of the tattoo...
