Counting Crows singer Adam Duritz just went to his Facebook page and explained that he suffers from a "severe mental illness," but that he is trying to ween himself off of his medication despite the "vicious withdrawal symptoms."

"I was f**king crazy. I needed meds. I took meds. Now I'm less crazy. I need less meds. I'm stopping meds," the 46-year-old writes.

Duritz admits that he needs medication to keep himself balanced, but has cut his Lithium dosage by half. How's that going? "Not so good."

Lithium is a common mood-stabilizer. "Gotta keep pushing/get off this sh*t," he adds. "Going faster than I should but it still takes too long."

According to Duritz, it's not a drug addiction situation and he's not trying to get sober altogether: "I like drinking. A lot. Sober=not for me."

He did not specifically describe what he suffers from.

Back in 2008, though, Duritz detailed his condition to Men's Health, saying, "I have a form of dissociative disorder that makes the world seem like it’s not real, as if things aren’t taking place. It’s hard to explain, but you feel untethered."

Here's hoping the singer feels better soon.

Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who resigned after attempting to sell or barter President Obama's seat in the U.S. Senate, has been convicted of a VAST range of corruption, bribery and extortion charges.

A jury deemed him guilty on 17 of 20 counts.

His attorneys insisted that FBI wiretap recordings in which he discussed many illegal activities were just the ramblings of a politician who liked to think aloud.

But Blagojevich, who spent 2 1/2 years becoming a punchline, yet professing his innocence on reality shows and on the witness stand, went down hard.

Blagojevich

The guilty verdict caps an incredible story in which Rod Blagojevich infamously said, on a tapped phone, that the chance to appoint the Senate successor to Obama after he was elected president was "f---ing golden."

Not something to give away "for f---ing nothing," in other words.

He faces up to 300 years in prison, though sentencing guidelines are sure to reduce his time. Still, prosecutors will likely push to have him incarcerated.

Rod may not have a leg to stand on. The Feds had been investigating him for years before the senate seat incident (hence the number of charges).

A status hearing for sentencing was set for August 1.

Here's a story, of a lovely lady, that we didn't expect to write about today:

Florence Henderson, forever known as the matriarch on The Brady Bunch, cheated on her husband in the 1960s with John Lindsay, the Mayor of New York City at the time... and the one-night stand resulted in an outbreak of crabs.

"I was lonely. I knew it wasn't the right thing to do," the actress writes on "Life is Not a Stage," a memoir that will be released on September 20.

Florence Henderson Memoir

After the tryst at the Beverly Hills Hotel, Henderson awoke the next morning to "little black things" crawling over her bed and body.

A doctor diagnosed the STD as pubic lice, Lindsay sent flowers and a note of apology and Henderson learned a valuable lesson:

Tobey Maguire never predicted he'd be ensnared in this kind of web.

The actor was part of high-stakes poker games involving Hollywood's biggest stars, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.

But Maguire, who frequently came out on top, is being sued for some of the winnings earned in the underground games, to the tune of $311,000. Why?

Deep Pockets

Because a bankruptcy trustee is suing Maguire and others who participated in the poker matches to try to recoup $4 million for investors. Why?

Because the money he won was originally taken in a Ponzi scheme by its architect, Bradley Ruderman, who is now serving 10 years in prison.

We know. It's a really strange case.

Nailed for perpetrating a wire fraud and investment advisor fraud scheme, Ruderman lost about $5.2 million in investors' money in a "clandestine high-stakes poker game held on a regular basis in a suite at a luxury Beverly Hills hotel."

We've love to give Chris Brown the benefit of the doubt, but to the extent that you can interpret one Tweet, he simply doesn't come across as sincere.

In his "apology" for dropping a gay slur at a bunch of photographers yesterday, the singer writes that he has "total respect for [the] Gay community."

Really, Chris? Do you now?

BROWN TWEET APOLOGYChris ranted, "Y'all n**gas is weak. You all call them to try and film me? Y'ALL N**GAS IS GAY!" Yeah. Pretty sure that was intended to insult people.

There's also no apology here. If he has "total respect" he would at least acknowledge what he did with more than this half-assed dismissal.

He used "gay" as an insult, end of discussion. Is this some huge deal? Does this make him a bad person? Certainly not. But he's not going to win much respect or sympathy with frequent blowups and non-apologies like this.

Sorry, Chris. That's just some #REALSH!T for you.

Your thoughts? Should he apologize for real?

Whitey Bulger, a Boston mob boss whose criminal dealings took on an aura of legend and who was once number one on the FBI's Most Wanted List, was finally arrested Wednesday night in Southern California after 16 years on the loose.

The 82-year-old gangster (real name James Bulger) was wanted for his alleged role in at least 19 murders as a ruthless mob boss and FBI informant.

He was taken into custody along with longtime girlfriend Catherine Greig.

Whitey Bulger Mug Shots

The arrest comes two days after a fresh media blitz aired pictures of Bulger and his companion on TV shows such as The View and Live with Regis and Kelly.

Greig was wanted for harboring a federal fugitive.

Bulger was taken into custody without incident at a Santa Monica residence, the FBI said, crediting this week’s publicity campaign for the long-awaited bust.

The last confirmed sighting of Bulger came in London in 2002, and since then the trail had run cold with multiple leads sending FBI agents around the globe.

Lindsay Lohan tested positive for alcohol earlier this month, according to reports, and will appear in L.A. County Superior Court today to face the music.

The Probation Department reportedly wants her in jail, and will ask Judge Stephanie Sautner to yank her out of house arrest and throw her in the clink.

Guess "sentencing" her to do time in a beachfront condo didn't work out.

Lindsay Lohan With No Bra

TMZ says Lindsay was tested twice last week, with one test coming back positive for alcohol and the other negative. She tested negative for drugs on both.

One of the tests was administered after her rooftop party.

Members of the D.A.'s office, which is handling the DUI probation part of Lindsay's criminal saga, will appear today to drop the hammer on Lohan.

The L.A. City Attorney is handling Lohan's necklace theft case, which she pleaded no contest to. The "jail" time she's doing at home is for violating probation.

Chris Brown sweet-talked his way out of a parking ticket yesterday ... but the way he talked to cameramen may have been anything but.

It's not clear from the video below if it was Chris or his bodyguard who said it, but according to TMZ, Brown accused several cameramen of alerting some parking enforcement personnel that his car was illegally parked, ranting:

"Y'all n**gas is weak. You all call them to try and film me? Y'ALL N**GAS IS GAY!"

Did Brown utter that quote? Again, it's hard to tell from the clip above. But if he did, he can expect calls for him to apologize pretty fast.

For what it's worth, in December, C-Breezy got into a Twitter feud with Raz B and made several homophobic comments in the process.

On an unrelated note, he did not get a ticket at least.

Some critics of Jennifer Aniston's newest relationship say that she "stole" boyfriend Justin Theroux from his girlfriend of 14 years, Heidi Bivens.

In other words, haters say Jen pulled an Angelina Jolie.

The 42-year-old fell hard for costar Theroux on the Georgia set of Wanderlust last fall, and "nothing was going to get in her way," Us reports.

But is that really the whole story here?

  • Aniston the Home-Wrecker
  • Heidi Bivens, Justin Theroux

"Jen went after him hard," a set source says, dishing on how Aniston and Theroux began having secret trysts at her temporary, secluded digs.

Charmed by his quick wit, hipster style and impressive screenwriter background, Aniston "overlooked her secret beau's relationship status."

"Jen wanted Justin and it didn't matter that he was already with someone," says the source ... but here's one thing that doesn't add up.

John Galliano entered a courtroom in Paris today to face charges of "public insults based on origin, religious affiliation, race or ethnicity."

The former head of Christian Dior faces a possible sentencing of six months in jail for hurling anti-Semitic remarks at a Jewish couple in France this February. He told them he loved Hitler and made references to how their people were "gassed."

Such talk, labeled as "racial prejudice," is illegal in that country.

John Galliano Enters Court

Galliano has since apologized for the outburst, but it will take more than that to get the fashion guru off.
