Tim Lambesis, the lead vocalist for heavy metal band As I Lay Dying, was arrested yesterday on charges that he plotted to have his estranged wife murdered.
According to Reuters, police learned that Lambesis was seeking someone to carry out the kill, so the San Diego Sheriff's Office arranged for an undercover detective to act as the hit man.
After dealing with Lambesis and learning of his scheme, the detective took the rocker into custody.
