In the wake of today's horrific Dark Knight Rises shooting in Colorado, Warner Bros. has chosen to pull the trailer for another movie out of theaters.

The preview for Gangster Squad, which has been online since May and is posted below, was NOT played prior to this morning's Batman feature and has NOT been attached to most of The Dark Knight Rises screenings around the country.

Still, one scene does depict mobsters opening fire inside a movie theater and, with the spot scheduled to start running nationwide this weekend, the studio thought it was inappropriate to air at such a time.

Gangster Squad will open on September 7. It stars Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone and Josh Brolin and centers on a LAPD unit assigned to rid Los Angeles of organized crime in the 1940s.

Do you think Warner Bros. made the right decision to yank the trailer from theaters?

When it comes to its beef with actor Ed Helms, Chick-fil-A is not playing chicken.

The company has issued an immediate response to The Office star's recent Tweet, which took Chick-fil-A to task for its President admitting he is opposed to gay marriage.

Helms Art

"The Chick-fil-A culture and service tradition in our restaurants is to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect - regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender," the statement reads.

"We will continue this tradition in the over 1,600 restaurants run by independent Owner/Operators. Going forward, our intent is to leave the policy debate over same-sex marriage to the government and political arena."

This controversy erupted after Helms responded to Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy telling the press his company operated on "biblical principles" and, as a result of such a public stance, Chick-fil-A has lost him as a customer.

What do you think of Helms threatening a boycott?

MC Chris has taken to YouTube to apologize for his behavior at a concert in Philadelphia on Tuesday night. Here's what went down:

An attendee named Mike Taylor posted a Tweet that was critical of MC's opening act, Richie Branson. He then went to the lobby and couldn't believe his ears, as Chris apparently read the message and called Taylor out on stage.

"My friend and I looked at each other confused and heard him ask for it again," Taylor wrote on Reddit. "I got up, walked back onto the floor and raised my hand. He then pointed at me and yelled, "Security is going to take you the f--k out now! That's what you get for talking sh-t on Twitter!"

Security proceeded to lead Taylor out of the arena.

Chris wasn't done, either. He later wrote on Facebook of the incident:

"last night I kicked someone out for being a dick to my opener richie branson on twitter. now this guy's got his pals calling me hitler on twitter or twitler as I now call it. they say I don't allow opinions. wrong. I just don't like it when u insult my friends and i don't really want you in the building. I have nothing against opinions. i have something against you insulting my friends. pretty simple. #haternerds"

Cooler heads did eventually prevail, however, as the venue offered Taylor a refund and, as posted above, Chris apologized.

"I fuc-ed up," he Tweeted at Taylor. "there's no other way to say it. I'm sorry and I felt this way last night. I hate kicking people out and I hope you take my apology sincerely. I deserve what I'm getting today and I will adjust my hyper critical attitude I'm sorry."

Fred Willard has been arrested for allegedly pulling a Pee-Wee Herman.

According to TMZ sources, the 78-year old comedian (Modern Family, For Your Consideration, American Wedding) was booked last night after undercover LAPD officers entered the Tiki Theater in Hollywood - and discovered Willard with his pants down and his hand around his penis.

Talk about giving a whole new meaning to Best in Show!

Willard was cited for lewd conduct and released from custody not long after he was taken in around 8:45 p.m. local time.

As for what films may have led to such a mess? The three in the theater's rotation at the moment are: Follow Me 2, Step Dad No. 2 and a parody of The Client List.

Really an amateur move here on Willard's part. He could have stayed at home and legally enjoyed the actual Client List. He has seen those Jennifer Love Hewitt ads for it, right?

UPDATE: Willard has been fired by PBS.

Ed Helms is hilarious in The Hangover and on The Office.

But the actor does not take the stance of Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy as a laughing matter.

Ed Helms Photo

In a recent interview with a Christian publication, Cathy said his company is "guilty as charged" when it comes to accusations that it is opposed to gay marriage, adding that Chick-fil-A supports the "biblical definition of the family unit."

That is the company's right, of course, and it's led to Helms exercise his own right.

"Chick-Fil-A doesn't like gay people? So lame," Helms Tweeted yesterday. "Hate to think what they do to the gay chickens! Lost a loyal fan."

Helms is not alone in his stance. Many associated with NOH8 - such as Miley Cyrus, Lindsay Lohan and Kim Kardashian - have also called for a Chick-fil-A boycott.

Where do you stand on Helms' decision to boycott the restaurant?

Kerry Kennedy was arrested for driving under the influence on July 13, but the daughter of Robert F. Kennedy swears alcohol played no role in why she slammed into a tractor trailer.

Appearing in North Castle Town Court last night, Kennedy pleaded not guilty and then addressed reporters, zeroing in on the claim that she failed various field sobriety tests.

Kennedy said toxicology tests showed "no alcohol, recreational drugs or prescription medication in my system," but neurological tests revealed an area of hyper density" in her brain.

"This accident was caused not by a sleeping aid but by a complex partial seizure," Kennedy said, adding that the aforementioned area is the result of an old injury.

Kennedy will return to court in August.

Madonna. Is she a revolutionary, provocative entertainer? Or an aging act desperate for attention?

This question has been posed over the last couple weeks, as the Material Girl has gone to unusually extreme lengths on stage during various concerts.

She mooned a crowd in Rome. She purposely slipped a nip in Istanbul. She cried in Berlin. She's facing a lawsuit for flashing a Swastika over the face of a politician in Paris.

And, last night in London, she pulled out a gun and pointed it at her cranium during the single "Gang Bang."

Madonna, Gun to Head

Following the controversy over Lindsay Lohan's recent gun-toting spread - the national suicide hotline referred to that act as "grossly irresponsible," considering the troubled individuals who pull the trigger in real life - it's safe to assume Madonna will also come under fire now for the maneuver.

Should she? What do you make of this loaded gesture?

Dez Bryant, a star wide receiver on the Dallas Cowboys, was arrested over the weekend on charges of misdemeanor assault.

But the details of the alleged incident sounds felonious in our view. Or at least pretty darn messed up.

Dez Bryant Mug Shot

Based on legal documents obtained by TMZ, police were dispatched to the home of Bryant's mother in DeSoto, Texas around 1:47 p.m. on Saturday.

Once there, authorities were told by  Bryant's mother, Angela, that she got into a fight with her son and, as she relayed to the officers:

"My son has assaulted me. He's here now. He won't go home. I keep telling him to go, he won't go... I can't let him keep doing me like this. I'm gonna put an end to it today."

Police said they noticed bruises on Angela's arms. She asserts that Bryant struck her in the face with his baseball cap and ripped her bra when he grabbed her by the shirt.

A Class A misdemeanor of this nature punishable by a fine of up to $4,000 and up to a year in jail.

It's all fun and games until someone flashes a Swastika in concert.

During a concert in Tel Aviv earlier this year, Madonna aired a video that included a shot of the infamous Nazi symbol, using it as a way to call out National Front leader Marine Le Pen, a political leader with extraordinarily conservative views.

She then did so again in Paris on Saturday, with 70,000 attendees looking on, and will likely now face legal consequences.

Le Pen is expected to take Madonna to court, according to The Guardian, deeming the act a "public insult."

Said National Front Vice President Florian Philippot:

"We cannot accept everything. We cannot accept this insulting connection. Marine Le Pen is defending her honor, but also that of party members and supporters and the millions of Front National voters."

No legal documents have been filed yet, but circle August 21 on your calendar, music/gossip fans: Madonna returns to France on that date for a concert in Nice.

George Zimmerman has been accused of a new heinous crime.

In just-released audio tapes related to the Trayvon Martin shooting, a family friend - who simply goes by the moniker "Witness9" - tells authorities that Zimmerman sexually molested her many times between the ages of 6 and 16.

"He would reach under the blankets and try to do things," the woman says, adding that the incidents mostly took place at Zimmerman's parents' house. "I would try to push him off, but he was bigger, stronger and older."

George in Court

The unidentified female was contacted by prosecutors about a month after the Martin shooting, with these tapes recorded on March 20. She told investigators she finally came forward with the allegations because it marked the first time in her life she was "not afraid" of Zimmerman.

The woman said she has no knowledge of the shooting in question, but verified that Zimmerman made disparaging remarks about African-Americans when the two were young.
