Amber Portwood has been sentenced to five years in prison after throwing in the towel on rehab and asking an Indiana judge to reimpose her sentence.

Guess he took her request to heart.

Portwood had been on probation following a December drug arrest, but was jailed for contempt of court this spring after failing to show up for a drug test.

Portwood was in court when the judge reimposed the sentence of five years in prison. Her attorney asked for leniency, but the judge was unmoved.

Not that he had a choice, he said. Due to her relapse, he said he had no choice but to enforce the terms of her plea agreement from this winter.

Portwood's five-year prison sentence was previously stayed on the condition she complete a drug rehabilitation program. That did not happen.

The Teen Mom train wreck lied about a medical condition to get out of drug testing, then gave up on rehab and asked to go to prison instead.

The judge said he would refer Amber to the Indiana Department of Corrections therapeutic community program - incarceration-based rehab.

Amber Portwood will be given credit for time served in jail, which is considerable, but nothing approaching five years. See you in 2016 or 2017 girl?

Mel Gibson's dad, Hutton Gibson, cited irreconcilable differences in filing for divorce from Teddy Joye Gibson, but there could be something more sinister at work.

Hutton, who is 93 and suffering from a host of health problems, believes his wife has been abusing him, and Mel has jumped to his dad's aid, according to reports.

Mel and his family have been tending to the patriarch, but Teddy Joye (who is in her 70's) says they are prolonging his suffering and wants them to back off.

No Contest

She wants to discontinue all medicines to accelerate his death, because she believes that's what Hutton wants. Mel wants Joye out of his dad's house - STAT.

The actor is trying to make sure his dad gets his medication, and feels Joye is guilty of elder abuse by her conduct. He's reportedly willing to go to court over it.

The animosity between Mel's family and Joye is intense, and Hutton personally filed for divorce and even signed the divorce documents in shaky handwriting.

Hutton had no kids with Teddy, whom he married in 2002, but had 11 kids with his first wife, Anne, who is deceased. He has more than 50 grandchildren.

The 93-year-old Hutton is asking for spousal support ... and attorney's fees.

Seth MacFarlane has a message for those who take issue with his show's unusual Emmy Award campaign, which includes a flier that pushes for Family Guy with the following lines: "Come on, you bloated, overprivileged Brentwood Jews. Let us into your little club."

Chill.

Family Guy Mailer

Comparing the joke to Ricky Gervais hosting the Golden Globes, the series creator told E! News:

"Hollywood is a town of very well-to-do folks who live very comfortably. They have a very comfortable lifestyle, they do what they love, there's not much that is bad in their life. So they should be able to laugh at themselves. If they can't, it's a rather sad thing."

And, as countless Family Guy quotes have made clear over the years, the sitcom isn't above poking fun at everyone and everything.

What do you think of the above poster? Does it go too far?

Defense lawyers in Jerry Sandusky's child sex abuse trial, set to begin this week, asked the Pennsylvania Supreme Court for a delay in the proceedings.

A lower court rejected the request late last week.

Jury selection is scheduled for Tuesday in the trial of Sandusky, 68, who was arrested in November and faces 52 criminal counts for the alleged abuse of 10 boys over 15 years.

He denies all of the allegations, which tarnished Penn State University and brought down the legendary Joe Paterno, who passed away last winter.

The defense said it wanted more time to review material from the prosecution and a delay is warranted for their experts and potential witnesses to be available at trial.

Judge John Cleland, who will preside over the trial, wrote that another issue involved grand jury secrecy, so the motion for a continuance had been filed under seal.

Cleland did not rule on the defense's effort to have the charges thrown out. Sandusky's lawyers have argued that in some instances the allegations are too vague, and in other circumstances rely on impermissible hearsay or lack sufficient evidence.

The judge also had not addressed requests by five alleged victims for a court order that would prevent their identities from being disclosed to the public.

Opening statements are expected June 11.

Like Michael Richards before him, Jason Alexander has struggled to find show business success following Seinfeld.

Also like Michael Richards before him, the actor now finds himself in a bit of controversy. But Alexander at least avoided any kind of racist rant for the ages.

Appearing on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson Friday, Alexander was asked about his feelings on cricket and responded as follows:

"It's the pitch... It's not like a manly baseball pitch; it's a queer British gay pitch."

George Zimmerman's bail has been revoked after a judge said he misled the court about his finances. Trayvon Martin's killer must turn himself in by Sunday.

During Zimmerman's bail hearing in April, after which he was freed on $150,000 bond, his family testified they had limited funds, prosecutors said on Friday.

Zimmerman's wife "said she had no money, but in fact she did," said prosecutor Bernardo de la Rionda of the issue that led to Zimmerman's bail revocation.

"It was misleading ... I don't know what other words to use. It was a blatant lie."

He pointed to $135,000 in funds raised from the public that was not disclosed during the hearing. Defense lawyer Mark O'Mara said it was a misunderstanding.

O'Mara said Zimmerman did not lie, but was simply unclear about how he could use the money, and that his office has been keeping close tabs on the funds.

"We have kept an exact ledger of every penny that he spent," said O'Mara.

Prosecutors also Zimmerman did not disclose that was in possession of a second passport; he had replaced a passport he lost only to find the original later.

Zimmerman was ordered to surrender himself in 48 hours. He pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in the February 26 death of the unarmed teen.

Alan Scott, a.k.a. the Green Lantern, is officially coming out of the closet.

The DC Comics staple, who was first introduced in 1940 as a husband and father, is a homosexual in Earth 2's new comic, being released next week.

The comic-book giant approved author James Robinson's character-altering decision “without hesitation.” Here's GL making out with his boyfriend:

Green Lantern Gay

“He’s very much the character he was,” James tells the New York Post of the change. “He’s still the pinnacle of bravery and idealism. He’s also gay.”

Interestingly enough, Alan’s son Obsidian was gay, but the rebooting of Alan as a young man means erasing the existence of his kids altogether.

“So I thought, ‘Why not make Alan Scott gay?’” James says of his decision to alter his sexual orientation. “That was the seed that started it.”

It's unclear if this particular seed he planted will encourage other superheroes to come out, or will increase or decrease interest in GL's exploits.

It's unlikely, though, that Ryan Reynolds' version of The Green Lantern will change teams in the much-anticipated sequel to last year's film.
