Unlike the cities of Boston and Chicago, Laguna Hills did not place a ban on the opening of Chick-fil-A in its area. But perhaps it now wishes it had.

A new store in that town was greeted this morning by protestors from the Orange County Gay and Lesbian Community Services Center, holding signs and calling for boycotts of the chain whose President has come out against gay marriage.

Chick-fil-A Protests

Aside from simply saying his company was "guilty as charged" when it came to supporting the "biblical definition of marriage," Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy has donated millions to the Marriage & Family Foundation and the Family Research Council.

The issue first came to attention when Ed Helms Tweeted his reaction to that news and said Chick-fil-A had lost him as a customer.

The The Jim Henson Company has also severed ties with the store, who tried to stem the tide of public disdain by releasing a statement that read: "Going forward, our intent is to leave the policy debate over same-sex marriage to the government and political arena."

So far, as today demonstrated, it has not worked.

The claws have come out between Alexis Bellino, her husband Jim and Tamra Barney. The legal claws, that is.

Days after The Real Housewives of Orange County reunion special, Alexis and Jim have released a statement in which they threaten to sue their castmate over recent remarks, most notably her insistence on referring to Alexis as "Jesus Jugs."

  • On Team Alexis Bellino
  • Pic of Tamra Barney

"The Real Housewives of Orange County is a reality show that is meant to entertain and engage audiences with the lives of its cast members. We recognize that the personalities, drama and conflict of the show attract fans to the popular Bravo reality series," the Bellinos said to Us Weekly.

"Unfortunately, some cast members use the show as a platform for personal attacks and character assassination, perhaps out of personal insecurity or simply to inflict pain. To the extent possible, we try to ignore this behavior.

"This vicious and malicious attack on our family will no longer be tolerated. We have continually tried to take the high road, however, if necessary, we are prepared to defend ourselves against these unfounded, slanderous and defamatory remarks to the fullest extent of the law."

grandma's here! #thankyougod.

So Paris Jackson Tweeted this morning, expressing gratitude that Katherine Jackson returned home after 10 days apart from the three children for whom she had been serving as legal guardian.

But the scandal surrounding this 82-year old, her extended disappearance and the alleged plot surrounding her children trying to change Michael Jackson's will is far from over.

Prince Jackson and Paris Jackson

Prince Jackson actually got involved in the saga today, posting a text message from July 23 on Twitter today that reads: "This is enough so I am texting you for the simple fact that WE DEMAND TO SPEAK TO MY GRANDMA NOW!!!"

The creepy response appears to be from Janet Jackson and it says: "Don't let them pls."

Prince goes on to bash the relatives that supposedly took Katherine from her California home - led by uncle Randy Jackson - and writes:

"Although I am happy my grandma was returned, after speaking with her I realized how misguided and how badly she was lied to. I’m really angry and hurt. For this whole time, they denied us contact to our grandmother. If you continue with your lies I will continue with the truth.”

Katherine Jackson spoke out last night for the first time and claimed she just needed a brief vacation. But her state in the interview and the fact that she never made contact with Prince, Paris and Blanket raise many questions over just what the heck has been going on.

Conclude Prince, the oldest of MJ's three kids: "As long as I can remember my dad had repeatedly warned me of certain people and their ways."

The moron who chased Justin Bieber around a Los Angeles freeway earlier this month might soon pay for his actions in court.

As previously reported, the artist was pulled over on July 6 for driving around 80 miles per hour, but witnesses confirmed he was doing his best to speed away from multiple members of the paparazzi who were after him for photographs.

Justin Bieber, Close Up

According to the City Attorney, a freelance "journalist" named Paul Raef was at the head of that pack and he's been charged with:

  • Two counts of following another vehicle too closely and reckless driving, with the intent to capture pictures for commercial gain.
  • One count of reckless driving.
  • One count of failing to obey the lawful order of a peace officer.

If convicted on all charges, Raef could face up to one year in jail and fines of $3,500.

She may be putting on a Poker Face at the moment, but Lady Gaga must be in a foul mood today after MGA Entertainment slapped the singer with a $10 million lawsuit because the manufacturer alleges she and her management company backed out of a deal between the two sides.

Lady Gaga in Beverly Hills

MGA claims Gaga acted in "bad faith" after initially agreeing to include a voice chip with the doll and have it ready for sale by Christmas.

Now, the company believes, Gaga is attempting to delay the item's release to coincide with her new album in 2013.

In fewer than 140 characters, the 2012 Olympic dreams of Voula Papachristou have been dashed.

Greece's triple-jump champion has actually been removed from her country's national team just days prior to the Opening Ceremony in London because she posted the following Tweet on July 22:

"With so many Africans in Greece .. At least the mosquitoes of West Nile .. will eat homemade food!"

Voula Papachristou Picture

With backlash building and rebuke of this tasteless joke strong, Greece has announced that Papachristou will not compete at the Games due to "statements contrary to the values and ideas of the Olympic movement."

She has since issued her own statement/apology:

I would like to express my heartfelt apologies for the unfortunate and tasteless joke I published on my personal Twitter account. I am very sorry and ashamed for the negative responses I triggered, since I never wanted to offend anyone, or to encroach human rights.

My dream is connected to the Olympic Games and I could not possibly participate if I did not respect their values. Therefore, I could never believe in discrimination between human beings and races.

I would like to apologize to all my friends and fellow athletes, who I may have insulted or shamed, the National Team, as well as the people and companies who support my athletic career. Finally, I would like to apologize to my coach and my family.

Do you think this was a proper punishment for Papachristou?

Did Kristen Stewart cheat on Robert Pattinson with Rupert Sanders?

It's the question all celebrity gossip followers are asking today, following reports by three separate outlets (People, Us Weekly and E! News) that all point to a fling between the Snow White and the Huntsman star and her director.

Rupert Sanders and Liberty Ross

Now adding fuel to that fire? A few online actions by Liberty Ross, Sanders' 33-year old wife and the mother of his two children.

The model has left two Tweets since the Us Weekly cover hit the Internet, both making it appear as if she's buying into the story.

FIRST, she simply wrote "Wow," a seemingly innocuous word until you dig deeper and the last user Ross followed was none other than Us Weekly.

SECOND, she left the cryptic message: "sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together."

Ross has since deleted her Twitter account.

Here is the latest in the ever-growing Jackson family saga:

With Katherine Jackson supposedly safe and sound in Arizona, Marlon, Tito and Jackie Jackson appeared on The Insider yesterday and expressed consternation and anger over the whereabouts of their mother.

Marlon Jackson on The Insider

"We've been told that our mother is safe," Marlon told Kevin Frazier. "She's doing well. But we have not spoken to her. We have not talked to her and I don't know where my mother is."

The brother of Michael Jackson then choked up and grew animated. He lashed out:

"All I know is she is in Arizona, and whatever doctor is saying I can't talk to my mother you call ME!"

Yup, it's official: Carly Rae Jepsen is a superstar.

Not because she's behind the top song on the Billboard 200, but because - like Scarlet Johannson and so many famous beauties before her - the 26-year old Canadian has reportedly had her email hacked, and naked photos of the singer are on the loose as a result.

Carly Rae Jepsen Image

TMZ confirms the pictures in question are NOT the images that led to a Carly Rae Jepsen sex tape rumor earlier this week.

But they are apparently legitimate, as the Vancouver Police Department is looking into the cyber crime. A rep tells the site that an investigation "in regards to a theft of electronic property belonging to Jepsen" is underway and that a suspect has been apprehended.

Incredibly, this is merely the latest naked scandal to surround Justin Bieber's protege.

Just a few weeks ago, topless pictures purported to be of Jepsen also surfaced, but a model named Destiny Benedict eventually took credit for them.

Call this the life of a pretty young celebrity. Definitely. Unfortunately.

Nikkole Paulun, a 16 and Pregnant star who was introduced on Season 2 of this MTV series, has leveled some rather serious accusations at her dad.

Why do we never see this parent on the small screen? Said Paulun this week via Twitter:

"You NEVER got to see my dad on camera because he's an abusive asshole. One night after Lyle was born her BEAT me up & I literally had to jump out my window & hitch a ride to my bestfriends house to get away."

Nikkole Paulun Photo

Nikkole goes on to write that her father has referred to her by every derogatory name in the book, that he has threatened to kill her and that her mom "thinks I should get along with him."

However: "I don't think I EVER will."

Well, no, we should hope not. Not if these assertions are valid. For the sake of Nikkole's child if not herself, she ought to get the heck out of there.
