We learned a lot about various celebrities this week.

Jessica Simpson doesn't often tell people they're the love of her life; Pierce Brosnan's wife, Keely Shaye Smith, is proud of her full figure; and Jason Mesnick is just your basic, normal guy with a rabid reality TV fan base.

Here's a look at who said what over the last few days...

Jessica Simpson [on Tony Romo]: I just told him today, 'You're the love of my life.' I don't really ever say that to anybody.

Jenna Jameson: Yes, I can confirm I'm pregnant. It's still early, so I'm being cautious. I'm resting as much as possible. I'm so happy!

Keely Shaye Smith (pictured): I never shy away from colors or my curves. I never hide in baggy clothing.

Jason Mesnick: I am just the most regular guy you could ever come across and for this to be happening to me is unbelievable.

Lindsay Lohan [on Michael Phelps]: Tell him he's f*cking amazing, and I want to meet him.

Spencer Pratt: I'm trying to live a more positive, holy life, but it takes work. It's hard not sinning, you know?

These celebrity quotes stem from a courtroom exchange today in which DMX was denied bail at a Florida hearing re: one of his many arrests:

DMX: "I ain't going back to no f%$king jail."
Miami-Dade County Judge: "Oh, well that just ingratiated you to me."

Ah, DMX. Then told his next hearing would be October 3, he reacted similarly:

"I ain't coming back on f*%king October 3."

A bold statement, since he was already in custody at the time. Oh, DMX.

THUG LYFE: The most recent of eight (known) DMX mug shots.

DMX was arrested in Miami back in June - once for attempting to purchase cocaine and marijuana during a narcotics sting, then another time on an outstanding arrest warrant for possessing no valid driver's license.

Ultimately, DMX got the last laugh, though. Despite the judge denying bail for him initially, his attorney Bradford Cohen somehow hammered out a plea deal in which the rapper was freed on time served and a $483 fine.

Of course, he's far from home free. Arizona authorities have 15 days to drag him into custody to face charges on a number of crimes there.

Over the last couple weeks, a United States Senator has admitted to having an extramarital affair, a reality TV star has begun her search for stardom on the big screen and a teen icon has come forward about her feelings for another teen icon.

This week featured many quality celebrity quotes, but the best had to be this declaration from Matthew McConaughey last night:

Classic. MM was referring to month-old son Levi, who made his red carpet debut at the launch of Camila Alves' handbag line, MUXO.

At Kitson in L.A., a surprisingly clothed McConaughey walked straight through the red carpet, carrying the baby and took him inside...

This celebrity quote is not really a celebrity quote, but rather a great quote about celebrities, some of whom (cough, John Mayer) have lamely called on the LAPD to better regulate the paparazzi to ensure their "protection."

Here's the response of The Hollywood Gossip's new favorite person, LAPD Chief William J. Bratton, as quoted in the Los Angeles Times:

"If you notice, since Britney started wearing clothes and behaving herself; Paris is out of town not bothering anybody, thank God; and, evidently, Lindsay Lohan has gone gay, we don't really seem to have much of an issue."
