The View co-hosts got into a debate this morning over Paltrow's upcoming book, "It's All Good," in which the actress offers up a slew of carb-free and gluten-free recipes.
"I do believe that there is a growing number of people with gluten intolerance, not just celiac disease, like myself," said Hasslebeck. "I do think it causes inflammation in the body, whether you are celiac or gluten intolerant or not."
Kim Kardashian has always tried to stay healthy, but now that she's eating for both herself and expecting a girl (supposedly), it's doubly important, says she.
With the Kim Kardashian baby bump showing more each day, the importance of taking care of herself and her baby grows, she writes on her blog.
"Keeping a healthy lifestyle has always been important to me," she says.
"And now [maintaining a well-balanced eating and fitness plan] is even more important since I'm looking out for someone else's well being other than just my own."

Gwyneth Paltrow has something more important to promote than flying suits and new Tony Stark inventions.
The actress is coming out with "It's All Good" on April 2, a cook book that focuses on gluten-free recipes and dishes made without carbs.
"Every single nutritionist, doctor and health-conscious person I have ever come across... seems to concur that [gluten] is tough on the system and many of us are at best intolerant of it and at worst allergic to it," the actress writes.
How does she do it?
That's the question many have for Jennie Garth, considering she's a working mother of three who recently shed 30 pounds and is determined to keep it off.
The actress admitted to People this week that "maintenance" is a "daily" challenge, but it's all about keeping the proper mindset.
"You have to remind yourself what your priorities are," she said. "And remind yourself about staying healthy and living a healthy life."
It also helps that Garth has turned to gluten-free recipes, while also fitting in exercise as often as possible.
