Kim Kardashian is doing her part to help those affected by last week's deadly typhoon in the Philippines.

Her pretty small part, that is.

The reality star announced on her blog Thursday that she's auctioning off clothing on eBay, with the money raised being sent to a charity that benefits those in this ravaged area.

A very good idea and a very good cause, right? Absolutely.

Veteran's Day is this coming Monday, which serves as a fitting backdrop for this amazing time lapse video of a homeless U.S. Army veteran's transformation.

Jim Wolf has battled homelessness and alcoholism, but thanks to Dégagé Ministries, he recently had the opportunity to overcome those formidable obstacles.

Wolf's change in appearance is truly stunning, and is not merely superficial. The charity group's efforts also inspired him to turn his life around for the better.

He's now attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and sober for the first time he can remember, an example of how it's never too late for a change.

The three-minute video was produced by Rob Bliss Creative to raise money and awareness for the non-profit dedicated to assisting people like Jim.

Dégagé Ministries "offers help and hope to homeless and disadvantaged individuals," according to its fundraising page. Clearly, they're doing a good job.

An Illinois dad who discovered something repulsive - a Facebook spam page exploiting his sick daughter for Likes - responded in amazing fashion.

Sean Murphy took to the page, which is described as a "social content farm," and managed to raise money for the hospital that saved her life.

A picture he posted online that shows his little girl, Serafina, recovering from heart surgery, was used to bolster the advertising revenue of a page called Starteens.

Pretty awful. But the University of Illinois law student simply went on the page and asked readers to donate money to the hospital instead of "Liking" anything.

As a result, he raised thousands of dollars for the medical facility.

Drake and The Game are teaming up to help cover the funeral costs for six people, including five kids, who died in a tragic Ohio house fire this summer.

The craziest part? The rappers have no connections to the family.

Anna Angel was working her shift at Burger King when a huge fire consumed her home with her five young children and her boyfriend trapped inside.

There were no survivors.

The Game heard about this, and wrote on Instagram, "I can deal with a lot of things but people losing their children is something that kills me every time."

Prince William is leaving the armed forces after more than seven years to focus on royal duties and charity work, Kensington Palace said Thursday.

William was a pilot with the Royal Air Force Search and Rescue Force.

Known to his RAF comrades as Flight Lt. Wales, he had been stationed at a search-and-rescue base on the remote Welsh island of Anglesey since 2010.

He has lived there with Kate Middleton and now Prince George.

In the next few weeks, the family will move into their official residence at Kensington Palace, as William considers a "number of options" for public service.

For now, the 31-year-old will focus on his royal duties. He will also expand on his conservation work, dealing particularly with endangered species.
