The countdown until the Magic Mike 2 premiere is on, as legions of fans of the original smash hit movie keep Channing all over their Tatums in anticipation.

Most Magic Mike fans know this was the semi-autobiographical story of Channing Tatum's days as a stripper. Well, he was far alone in that line of work:

Channing Tatum
"Magic Mike" wasn't the loosely autobiographical story of Channing Tatum for nothing! He got his start as a stripper.

No, Tatum's pole-dancing past isn't unique. Stripping is one way many of today's famous faces got their start, paying their bills prior to achieving fame.

Some of them went on to become Hollywood A-listers, and some of them went on to be, well, sort of crazy people who are famous for no discernible reason.

Check out 21 stars who used to be strippers above and see who falls into which category. Some of these former dancers may really surprise you, too.

And then there are stars who took it to another level. Yes, the celebrities who used to be porn stars ... those are surprising for even more obvious reasons:

Michael Douglas is still sporting his wedding ring, and it's not just symbolic, he says. He wants everyone to know he is still married to Catherine Zeta-Jones.

The star responded to recent reports about his separation from Zeta-Jones by saying "there is no crisis" and they "are fine" despite a "temporary separation."

Douglas was in Berlin for the premiere of his movie Behind the Candelabra, when a reporter asked him why he was still wearing a ring on his wedding finger.

His simple response? "I'm married."

Just last week, the couple's reps said they were separating after 13 years. Conflicting reports aside, it looks like Douglas isn't ready to throw in the towel.

Michael Douglas' nearly 13-year marriage to Catherine Zeta-Jones "went downhill" immediately after his HPV admission, according to a new report.

The 68-year-old actor claimed that his throat cancer may have been derived from contracting the sexually transmitted disease via giving oral sex.

His wife was reportedly not pleased, to say the absolutely least.

"It all went downhill from there," a source told The Sun (UK).

Oral sex or not, their mutual health issues have been widely blamed for Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones' separation, which they just announced.

Move aside, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom. Another famous Hollywood couple is now living apart.

The latest issue of People chronicles the crumbling marriage of Michael Douglass and Catherine Zeta-Jones, with a source telling the magazine that neither side has filed for separation, but:

"They're taking a break."

The stars got married in 2000 and have been through a great deal together, from Douglas' battle with cancer to Zeta-Jones' bipolar disorder. The latter was released from her latest rehab stint in May.

Catherine Zeta-Jones has left rehab and is "raring to go," according to a very reliable source: husband Michael Douglas.

For the second time in two years, the Oscar winner checked herself into a treatment facility late last month to deal with issues related to Bipolar Disorder, but Douglas spoke to Extra from Cannes last night and said of his wife:

"Catherine's doing wonderful. She's got herself worked out with her meds."

Like Demi Lovato, Zeta-Jones has been open with her struggles, Doulgas says, because she wants to de-stigmatize the concept of mental illness. She also wants to control the news about her.

"There are so many outlets, so it's better you get out in front of it tell your story before it becomes gossip," the actor said.

We admire how candid Catherine has been and we wish her nothing but the best.

Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones is back in treatment for her bipolar disorder.

"Catherine has proactively checked into a health care facility," her rep said.

"Previously Catherine has said that she is committed to periodic care in order to manage her health in an optimum manner."

Meanwhile, another source close to Catherine Zeta-Jones says she was planning to return to treatment as a way for doctors to monitor her medication.

"There was no big problem," says a friend. "This was just a good time to do it. She is in between projects. This has always been part of the plan."

Despite earlier denials, actress Catherine Zeta-Jones reportedly entered a mental health facility to seek treatment for bipolar disorder, reports say.

One of Catherine's reps tells People "After dealing with the stress of the past year, Catherine made the decision to check in to a mental health facility."

The rep confirms it was "for a brief stay to treat her Bipolar Disorder."

"She's feeling great and looking forward to starting work this week on her two upcoming films," the rep says, adding that she spent five days there.

Reports say Catherine had been in Silver Hill Hospital in Connecticut for treatment, but Zeta Jones, 41, has apparently checked out as of this report.

Her husband Michael Douglas, 66, announced in January he was declared free of cancer after extensive chemotherapy and radiation treatment.

We wish them both only the best!
