Nominated for best rap collaboration with Jay-Z and Kanye West, Rihanna paired her usual fiery hair with an Elie Saab Haute Couture gown, Neil Lane diamond earrings, bracelet and rings mixed with two Diamond in the Rough rings.

Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher recently got engaged. He confirmed this, and she's been spotted at his NHL games (wearing her engagement ring, no less).

But seeing the hockey player and country singer out and about together is quite rare and quite cute. The notoriously low-key pair like to do their own thing.

Which is awesome for them, but equally awesome are the rare occasions when they step out. Such as an appearance at a charity event Monday in Canada.

The soon-to-be-married lovebirds were on hand for the Ottawa Senators' annual Soirée fundraiser to raise money for four local hospital foundations.

We're looking forward to seeing Carrie's role as a sexy flight attendant on a certain CBS comedy, but we'll settle for more sightings like this as well.

The newly-engaged Grammy-winning singer is set to make her acting debut on How I Met Your Mother in an upcoming episode scheduled to air in March. 

Underwood will play Tiffany, an enigmatic pharmaceutical sales rep and love interest for Ted (Josh Radnor). Although she looks like a flight attendant here.

She just got engaged in real life. Now Carrie Underwood is set to appear on How I Met Your Mother, a comedy in which a single guy searches for his wife!

Might Underwood be "The Mother" that Josh Radnor's Ted Mosby tells his kids about 20 years in the future (while sounding eerily like Bob Saget)? Doubtful.

As far we know, Carrie is only scheduled for one How I Met Your Mother episode as Tiffany, an enigmatic pharmaceutical sales rep and Ted love interest.

That's probably just as well. She's got a country music career to focus on, and besides, her actual fiance, NHL star Mike Fisher, might take issue with Ted!

Carrie Underwood will appear on the show in March.

Even with her short stint, Carrie joins a long line of recent HIMYM guest stars including Joanna Garcia, Heidi Montag, Kim Kardashian and Britney Spears.

The CBS comedy returns Monday for its 100th episode, when Stacy Keibler and Rachel Bilson, who some fans think has Mother potential, will also appear.

In case there were doubts about Mike Fisher and Carrie Underwood getting engaged, this photo taken at last night's NHL game in Ottawa should clear 'em up.

While the Senators forward tangled with the Boston Bruins on the ice, the country star showed off her ice in the stands... and it appears Mike did a heck of a job.

Asked about the engagement again last night, Fisher wouldn't give away any details, saying only that it's true, and that "we're both excited and very happy."

The Sens lost 2-0 last night, but somehow, we can't imagine Mike cares. In fact, he'd probably take this cutie over the Stanley Cup any day ...

Mike Fisher has won the heart of Carrie Underwood, and broken ours.

The Ottawa Senators hockey player and the country singer are engaged to be married, according to Mike himself, who confirmed it to the Ottawa Sun yesterday.

Asked about it just moments before his team's game against the Boston Bruins at Scoriabank Place, he said he popped the question to Underwood on Sunday.

"It's true," said Fisher. "We're both obviously excited and very happy."

Sens' teammate Chris Neil said Mike Fisher called him with the news.

"I think it's great news. It's a long time coming. There's going to be a lot of broken hearts in Ottawa with all those girls who are in love with Mikey," said Neil.

Not to mention THG staffers who are in love with Carrie.

The blogosphere had been buzzing after an Underwood family friend congratulated the former American Idol winner on the big news on Mike's Twitter page.

Underwood, who makes her home in Nashville, was in Ottawa through the weekend and was on hand for the Senators' 4-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild.

The couple has been dating for about a year, and have (impressively) kept their relationship largely out of the media. Time to get started on that big family!

Congratulations, Carrie and Mike! Sad as we are that she's off the market, we have to say, we approve of Mike and the way he goes about his business.

She's the queen of country, but Carrie Underwood would to settle down and a family someday. This is a modest life goal, but a timeless, wonderful one.

It's not really news, but 1. It gives us a chance to stare at her new Self magazine cover, and 2. Not every celebrity news article must be a scandal!

In January's Self, the country star gets specific about her ideal family size: "Someday I'd like to start a family. Not a big one, but not a small one."

The middle ground between "big" and "small"? "Two kids is good," the Oklahoman explains. "Three is probably fine. Four?"

"Somebody's getting something done, because we ain't having five!"

Don't even THINK of knocking Carrie Underwood up more than 3-4 times!

The singer has been dating the Canadian hockey player for just over a year. Underwood may not be a pro athlete, but she tries to stay in killer shape herself.

"I have Exercise TV on cable," she says. "Jillian Michael's videos kick your butt. That and If I'm ticked off, I get a punching bag and beat the crap out of it."

She does check out Carrie Underwood photos in magazines, too.

"I love it when I feel good about myself," she admits. "I'll look at a photo and think, 'My arms look great!' - and then I go work out on my arms."

"Once you're enjoying things about your body, you realize how much you want to keep them that way or make them that much better."

Carrie Underwood is flat-out gorgeous.
