Michael Phelps is far slower on dry land than he is in the water.

The Olympic champion failed to allude celebrity gossip reporters this week, as they finally snapped a number of pictures of him and girlfriend Caroline Pal.

It's gonna be difficult for Phelps to deny his relationship with the cocktail waitress now that shots such as this have surfaced:

For Pal, of course, these pics are no big deal. She's been caught doing a lot worse.

If Caroline Pal were a swimming opponent, Michael Phelps would leave her in the dust.

Unfortunately for this Olympic champion, his rumored girlfriend is a cocktail waitress that occasionally poses for quasi-nude, racy photos alongside other scantily-clad women.

Try as he might, Phelps can't distance himself from the woman known as "Caz."

In the latest round of Caroline Pal photos, the part-time model is posing for a clothing line titled "Beverly Hills Pimps and Hos." And she's not alone...

Michael Phelps can swim faster than any human being that has ever lived.

But that doesn't mean he can allude celebrity gossip photographers and their supposedly mischievous plans.

On Friday's Live With Regis and Kelly, the Olympic gold medalist said he was NOT dating Caroline Pal (or anyone at all), despite apparent photo evidence to the contrary.

Michael Phelps is stoked to be an Olympic champion. An object of celebrity gossip reports and pictures? Not so much.

When asked about new picture of him and a huge-breasted woman that certainly resembles Pal, taken at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday, Phelps replied:

"[The photographers] pose the girl up next to me as I get out of the car, and she follows me in. I was like, 'Oh wow, you guys are pretty original - pose somebody next to me to make it look like we're together!'"

Phelps said he "never [saw the woman in question] before in my life!"

Michael Phelps holds the world record in the 200-meter breast stroke.

He's also setting the standard for largest breasts stroked by an Olympian, based on the following photo of Phelps and girlfriend Caroline Pal arriving at Los Angeles International Airport yesterday.

Rumors of this couple dating surfaced around Thanksgiving, when Phelps brought the cocktail waitress home to meet his family. Since then, the swimming icon has remained mum on the relationship, while Pal has complained about the outbreak of supposedly topless pictures of herself.

The shirt she's wearing here should go a long way toward reforming her image...

Despite recently-leaked photos to the contrary, Caroline Pal says she has "never shot topless photos, ever. No topless, no stripping."

In a new interview with Las Vegas newspaper The Review Journal, the girlfriend of Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps says she's suffering from the glare of the celebrity gossip spotlight. The wave of publicity "has been really hard," she said.

"Those photos are not a statement of who I am," Caroline Pal added, referring to the aforementioned provocative images, which were taken a few years ago as part of a photo shoot for Beverly Hills Pimp & Hos, a popular urban clothing line.

An example, Caroline Pal says, of a picture that implies she "was full frontally topless."

For someone that's supposedly livid over her quasi-naked pictures, Pal can't stop talking about them. She continued, railing against those that have reduced her to nothing more than a skanky stripper.

While Michael Phelps was mastering the breaststroke, his new girlfriend was having her breasts stroked by other women.

Indeed, Caroline Pal reportedly worked at the Déjà Vu strip club in North Hollywood from 2003 to 2005. Her nickname there? Sapphire.

Michael Phelps is virtually impossible to catch up with in water.

But Las Vegas cocktail waitress Caroline "Caz" Pal has done the trick on land, reportedly nabbing the Olympic champion as her boyfriend.

Following rumored romances with Nicole Johnson, Carrie Underwood and Stephanie Rice, the world record swimmer has taken Pal home to meet his family for Thanksgiving, People Magazine reports.

"She's there [in Maryland] meeting his family for the first time," a source says.

The couple has been together for about two months.
