Take comfort, Levi Johnston: family life isn't all that shabby.

According to Matthew McConaughey, in fact, it's pretty darn awesome!

"I always wanted to be a father and thought it would be great, but it just took the right woman and the right time to make it all happen," the actor told People Magazine soon after completing Sunday's 10-kilometer Nike + Human Race in Austin, Texas.

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves, unwed at the time of her pregnancy, can serve as role models for Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston.

McConaughey went on to gush about the woman by his side.

"[Camila Alves] is the love of my life," he said. "Everything is right. It's all good."

Matthew McConaughey is serious about two things in life:

1. Not wearing a shirt
2. University of Texas football

In the photo below, the actor takes on an intense look at he implores the mother of his son, Camila Alves, to flash the school's football sign: Hook 'em, horns!

From his comfortable pouch, we imagine Levi is raising his little pinky and index finger in salute to the team, as well.

This week featured many quality celebrity quotes, but the best had to be this declaration from Matthew McConaughey last night:

"[Levi] was gonna stay home, but then he said, 'Dad, I wanna go support mom's purses!' At 30 days old, he's talking about stuff like that!"

Classic. MM was referring to month-old son Levi, who made his red carpet debut at the launch of Camila Alves' handbag line, MUXO.

The beautiful couple isn't alone, however. It's cradling adorable newborn, Levi.

"I will never forget those 14 hours," Matt said of his girlfriend's labor. "We danced, sweated, hummed, laughed and cried. We were a real team. It was great."

Alves might disagree with that sentiment a bit, but no one can disagree with this fact: Levi is a cutie patootie!

Celebrity gossip tabloid OK! has published the first ever photo of McConaughey's son with long-time girlfriend Camila Alves. Unsurprisingly, based on the looks of his parents, Levi is a cutie patootie.

Also unsurprisingly, McConaughey described the birth as only he can:

"Contractions started kicking in. I sat there with [Camila], right between her legs. We got tribal on it, we danced to it! I was DJ-ing this Brazilian music."

As for Levi's appearance and future? Both seem to be bright.

"I've pulled out some baby pictures of myself, and the resemblance is amazing," the actor said. "This kid has a lot to learn from us. I want him to come out being a little wiser, a little cooler and a little happier than we are."

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves have named their son Levi.

While we don't feel an explanation is necessary for such an awesome moniker, McConaughey dropped this bit of knowledge on fans anyway:

"Levi was another name for the apostle Matthew in The Bible. They were, in fact, two names for the same person. Our son was born at 6:22 pm, and this particular time represents my favorite verse in the book of Matthew in The Bible: 'If thy eye be single, thy whole body will be full of light.'"

Amen, Matthew. Amen.

With a father that looks like this, Levi Alves McConaughey is in good hands. And feet. And pectorals.

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves welcomed their first child into the world yesterday, a boy who already looks just like his father.

That is, he was born without a shirt on.

Alves gave birth to Levi Alves McConaughey at 6.22 p.m. in Los Angeles. He weighed 7 lb., 4 oz.

"We welcome Levi Alves McConaughey into this wonderful life and look forward to living in it with him. In the mean time and all times, just keep livin," the couple said in a great statement.

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves are proud, insanely gorgeous parents.
