Bruno Mars Playboy Cover: WTH?!

No offense to Bruno Mars, who is unquestionably one of the most talented musicians in the business today, but what is the guy doing on the cover of Playboy?

Okay, we'll give him a pass, because Playmate of the Month Raquel Pomplun also appears on the cover (albeit secondarily), and it is the Sex + Music Issue.

Those two things intertwined? Who would've guessed?

Bruno Mars Playboy Cover

The 26-year-old "Grenade" entertainer is only the 10th man to appear on the cover, ever, in almost 60 years of Hugh Hefner's publication. Impressive.

Going back almost that far, Bruno Mars says the musicians he looked up to were old school: Frank Sinatra, James Brown, Jimi Hendrix and Elvis Presley.

On the musician he’d most like to work with if he could, he says Hendrix.

"I think he’s the greatest guitar player in the world, and I would want to see him do his thing in person. He’s the reason I picked up a guitar in the first place.”

Tyler The Creator Wins Best New Artist, Says Bruno Mars Sucks

"I wanna ***** thank everyone *****. I've been dreaming about this **** since I was 9! I just wanna ***! I can't *** & ****." - Tyler, The Creator.

Tyler The Creator was among the MTV VMA winners Sunday, but a slam of Bruno Mars and expletive-laden acceptance speech drew more buzz.

Fortunately, he won't be killing himself. We think.

During the pre-show, when Tyler realized he was at the bottom of MTV's Tweet Tracker and Bruno Mars was up top, he told MTV host Sway that Mars' music "sucked" and if he lost the Best New Artist award to Mars, "I might kill myself."

He did not. Tyler The Creator won for "Yonkers" (below). Did he deserve it?

Grammy-winner Bruno Mars, last season's finalist Crystal Bowersox and the departing Casey Abrams all performed live on American Idol on Thursday night.

Bruno Mars Off the Hook in Cocaine Bust

Bruno Mars accepted a plea deal allowing him to avoid jail time for his cocaine arrest last year, provided the singer keeps his nose clean for the next year.

Mars and the Clark County (Nev.) D.A. struck a deal in which Mars would plead guilty to possession of a controlled substance stemming from his arrest.

The charge will be expunged if he stays out of trouble for 12 months.

Mars must also has complete 200 hours of community service. It all becomes official and his probationary period begins on his next court date, Feb. 14.

Mars was nailed at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino when a bathroom attendant ratted him out and told security there was a man in a stall doing drugs.

Hopefully he takes this seriously and follows through with his end.
