Apparently Bristol Palin does not have a body image issue.

At least that's what one could take away from a new interview with Brooke Shields, in which the star wishes she would've cashed in her v-card a lot sooner.

Had she not had so many issues with her self esteem, that is.

In a ridiculously candid chat with Health Magazine, Brooke said her biggest health regret was image-related: "Not learning to love the way I looked earlier."

"I think I would have had sex a lot earlier!" she reflected on her more insecure days. "I definitely think I would have lost my virginity earlier than I did at 22."

Making these comments more surprising is the fact that when dudes salivated over Brooke Shields nude in The Blue Lagoon (1982), she was 15 at the time.

Celebrity fashion designer Jack McCollough was allegedly headbutted by actor Kiefer Sutherland at a party in lower Manhattan early Tuesday morning.

Denying he initiated any altercation, he's slamming reports that he provoked the 24 star, who said he only acted to protect actress Brooke Shields.

"Anyone who knows Jack McCollough knows that he would not hurt a fly," a rep for McCollough, of the New York fashion empire Proenza Schouler, said.

"All we can say at this point is that he was the victim of a vicious, violent, unprovoked assault and that the matter is in the hands of the authorities."

Jack McCollough's nose was broken in the incident.

One report claims that Jack McCollough bumped into fellow MET gala guest Shields, prompting Kiefer Sutherland to get physical with the designer.

But New York's Daily News says McCollough – a friend of Shields' – interrupted her and Sutherland while they were speaking outside the SoHo nightspot SubMercer, and Sutherland head-butted him after the two men exchanged words.

Another guest says Kiefer demanded Jack apologize to Brooke - for what, no one knows - and Jack allegedly pushed Kiefer, who headbutted Jack.

In any event, the altercation came as a surprise to bystanders:

"Jack walked into the party and tried to order a drink, and then the next thing he knew, he got headbutted for no identifiable reason." [McCollough] did nothing other than walk into a party. He did not bump into Brooke Shields. It's just puzzling.”

The NYPD said the incident remains under investigation.

For her part, Shields' rep said "nothing happened to her," adding "Jack did nothing inappropriate. It's not clear what caused Kiefer to do what he did."

The ax may be falling on Lipstick Jungle, but no network execs are going to cancel Brooke Shields' most important, long-running project - motherhood.

The beautiful actress opens up about being a mom to daughters Rowan, 5, and Grier, 2, in the December/January issue of Cookie, which apparently exists.

Brooke Shields is enjoying her second act in Hollywood.

The actress is starring on Lipstick Jungle and in a handful of hilarious Volkswagon ads.

Shields also graces the cover of the latest issue of Shape and explains that her tall body has always made it a challenge to be comfortable in her own skin.

"I'm not petite," said the six-foot tall actress. "I've never been very frail or small, so I've had to find ways to celebrate that. And it's really my strength that I celebrate."

As for what this beauty does to stay slim, Shields said:

"I spin and I do yoga, and that's it ... I can carry my kids and I can dance and my legs get me through Broadway shows. And to me, when they function for me, not just look a certain way, then I feel lucky."

During a long day on the set of her TV series, Lipstick Jungle, Brooke Shields took some time out for some quick mother-daughter time with 2 1/2-year-old Grier...

With Suri Cruise, Jayden James, and the Brangelina brood dominating celebrity baby news, you don't hear much about Grier, but this is a really cute photo.

Grier's dad is Brooke Shields' husband of seven years, Chris Henchy.

Based on the outrage directed toward Miley Cyrus for her topless photo (pictured below) in Vanity Fair this month, you'd think the Disney actress was the first young celebrity to ever show some skin.

But this is far from the case.

Nothing mends a celebrity rift like meds a baby.

Katie Holmes seemed to forget the firestorm of controversy created by her fiancee with regard to Brooke Shields this weekend when she ran into Tom Cruise's former abuse-target at a private party in Los Angeles.

Katie's face lit up as she gazed upon Brooke's daughter, Grier, and the love-fest (however staged) continued throughout the conversation.

Whether this is a public charade or not, it looks like most of the ill will concerning Cruise's bashing of and subsequent apology to Brooke about her use of medication for her post-partum depression seem to have melted away.

Hey, there's no such thing as a chemical imbalance. Let's just leave it at that and move on, shall we? Are playdates with Suri Cruise and Grier far behind? One can only hope.

Are we seeing a new Tom Cruise? For the sake of enjoyment and hilarity here at The Gossip, we certainly hope not.

First, however, Suri's pops signed a new production deals. And now? He's personally apologized to one-time friend and former nemesis, Brooke Shields. If you'lll recall, Cruise's wacky, very possible scientology mission began when he slammed the mother for using antidepressents.

We guess changes within a person are inevitable once your child's poo is bronzed.

On an appearance on the Tonight Show last night, Shields told Jay Leno that Cruise "came over to my house, and he gave me a heartfelt apology. And he apologized for bringing me into the whole thing and for everything that happened."

Brooke said she was "impressed," although failed to mention anything at all decent about Vanilla Sky.

So look at Cruise now, people. He's NOT making funny sexist comments. He IS making ammends. What's next?

Don't misunderstand the actor, however. He still feels the same way about drugs. According to his rep, Cruise "has not changed his position about antidepressants, which as evidenced by the black label warnings issued by the FDA on these types of drugs, are unhealthy."

Whatever. So is playing with alligators. But that hasn't stopped Beyonce.
