Brooke Hundley Interview Confirms Nut Job Status of Steve Phillips' Mistress

Brooke Hundley, the former ESPN employee whose affair with Steve Phillips got them both fired last month, gave an interview today to Good Morning America.

Despite the fact that she was complicit in the affair and her own bizarre actions exposed it, Brooke Hundley believes she's also a victim in all of this, saying:

"I think people are so quick to make a judgment, it's almost like 'here's a great story. Here's a great chance for me to ... destroy this person' without any sense of really thinking about the fact that there's a human being behind those words."

"I've been called things that no woman should ever be called. I've been called the c-word. I've been called a whore. I've been called a home wrecker."

Boo freaking hoo, Brooke.

Maybe you shouldn't have shown up at Phillips' home in person, left a note bragging to his wife about your affair with him, driven over his lawn or backed into a stone wall (cementing her home wrecker status in more ways than one)!

Don't get us wrong. Steve Phillips is an idiot for risking his career and his family over an affair with a crazy chick half his age, and deserves the consequences.

But to watch Brooke Hundley try to come off as the sympathetic victim in this interview - especially whining about Jay Leno showing pictures of her and poking fun at the fact that she's less hot than Steve's wife Marni - is just laughable.

She claims her "breaking point" is near. Imagine how Phillips' teenage son, who she cyber-stalked, and Marni Phillips, who was flat out petrified of Brooke, felt.

Of Marni Phillips' 911 call, Hundley said "the same fear I heard in her voice was similar to how I had felt." Except that she subjected Marni to it, not vice versa.

Brooke Hundley Fired By ESPN Too

Brooke Hundley, the ESPN production assistant who exposed a secret affair with ESPN baseball analyst Steve Phillips, is now out of a job at the network.

A rep from ESPN at first confirmed to the AP that the 22-year-old Hundley "doesn't work at ESPN anymore," but it was unclear if she quit or was axed.

Later, ESPN said that in light of the events made public this past week, Brooke was indeed shown the door, but didn't provide a cause for termination.

Probably something along the lines of her being a crazy b!tch.

Bad News Brooke

Brooke Hundley's experience at ESPN will look great on her resume. Reason for leaving past occupation? Sleeping with married superior and stalking his son online.

It was a mix of utter disregard for morals, positively representing the network and general common sense that got Steve Phillips fired earlier today.

The network gave the former New York Mets GM the heave-ho just days after he admitted a summer affair with Hundley and took a leave of absence.

The sordid affair soon became a full-blown sex scandal.

Phillips broke it off and Brooke Hundley lost it, stalking his teenage son on Facebook and harassing his wife Marni in a letter, bragging about nailing Steve.

A rep for Phillips claims he's entering a treatment facility.

Hopefully one where he learns that just because a crazy chick works under him doesn't mean he has to make it literally the case in a car in the parking lot.

Steve Phillips Fired Over Brooke Hundley Affair

Less than a week after his affair with 22-year-old production assistant Brooke Hundley came to light, ESPN baseball analyst Steve Phillips has been fired.

ESPN made the announcement last night during the American League Championship Series, during which Phillips normally would have been in the studio.

"Steve Phillips is no longer working for ESPN," the network said.

"His ability to be an effective representative for ESPN has been significantly and irreparably damaged, and it became evident it was time to part ways."

Steve's rep issued a statement saying that Phillips "is voluntarily admitting himself to an in-patient treatment facility to address his personal issues."

The statement did not specify the nature of said issues, although we're gonna guess that the married father of four's parking lot sex sessions with Brooke Hundley, a certifiable nut job who went on to harass his family, were a factor.

Fired Phillips

Steve Phillips has proven himself a very stable, upstanding individual.

Phillips previously had taken a leave of absence after details emerged of his relationship with Brooke Hundley, whom he met at the All-Star Game in St. Louis.

Steve and his wife, Marni Phillips, issued statements to police describing harassing phone calls by Hundley after the relationship ended, and at least one frenzied visit by Hundley in person to their Wilton, Conn., home in August.

Brooke dropped off an insane letter to Marni detailing her affair with Steve, then is said to have stalked their teenage son on Facebook. Marni then called 911.

Steve Phillips, a former GM of the New York Mets, had risen steadily on ESPN's depth chart, joining Jon Miller and Joe Morgan in the game booth Sundays.

He admitted to extramarital affairs while with the Mets, as well.

Brooke Hundley Filed Restraining Order Against Steve Phillips, Confirms Parking Lot Sex

Steve Phillips' ex-lover Brooke Hundley filed a restraining order against him one day after dropping off a sketchy-ass letter to the ESPN analyst's wife at home.

You know, the letter that stated Brooke and Steve should be together, offered sordid details on their sex life and prompted Marni Phillips to frantically call 911.

On August 20, Brooke sought protection from him, claiming that while at a hotel back in July, Steve Phillips "bought me a strong drink and then cornered me."

At that point, the whack job claims, the married father of four was "trying to persuade me to come to his hotel suite to spend the night." She obliged.

The production assistant claims Steve called her hotel room until she agreed to see him, then "continued to text on a regular basis with inappropriate things."

Brooke Hundley (click here for pictures) "tried to get him to stop" but agreed to meet up with the former Mets GM "a few times after work in the parking lot."

Interesting word choice, as in the note Brooke left for Steve's wife the day before, she wrote, "I'm not just some random girl he had sex with in parking lots."

Lastly, she says Steve tried to ruin her career after word got out that they were sleeping together, calling her a "slut" and saying he would get her fired.

Looks like the threats didn't take, as she spilled the beans to his wife anyway. Hundley ultimately withdrew the complaint against Phillips September 15.

That day, she posted the following on Facebook: "I've seen evil and he wears khaki pants and bright blue polos. Out of court, and back to basketball."

Brooke Hundley Pictures: Revealed, Below Average

After her shocking affair and harassment of ESPN baseball analyst Steve Phillips, we were kind of expecting more from Brooke Hundley by way of pictures.

You know, the boilerplate scandalous, half-naked, wild-child stuff. Brooke Hundley is 22 years old, after all, and clearly has a screw loose if not several.

A normal girl doesn't write a letter to her lover's wife bragging about nailing him, or stalk his teenage son on Facebook, or crash her car into his house.

Yet she looks decidedly normal in pictures like this one ...

Beneath that awkward smile lies psycho Brooke Hundley.

After the Steve Phillips scandal broke yesterday, the former New York Mets general manager asked for and was granted a leave of absence from his job at ESPN.

His mind clearly took one earlier this year when he decided to sleep with this girl.

There's nothing wrong with the All-American Plain Jane type, don't get us wrong, but you gotta wonder why one risks one's entire life for sex with a crazy person.

Brooke Hundley-Steve Phillips Affair, Scandal Exposed; Marni Phillips Sues For Divorce

If you thought trading Scott Kazmir for Victor Zambrano during his stint as GM of the Mets was the worst decision Steve Phillips could make, think again.

The ESPN analyst had an affair with assistant Brooke Hundley, who, after being dumped, went insane and started harassing Steve's wife Marni Phillips.

We are talking phone calls and a letter that bragged about sex with Steve Phillips while ridiculing their "loveless marriage," The New York Post reports.

Steve confessed to Marni Phillips and local police that he had slept with ESPN assistant Brooke Hundley, 22, several times this summer before dumping her.

In retaliation, the jilted young woman repeatedly phoned Phillips' wife, exclaiming things like "We both can't have him!" an explosive police report claims.

Hundley also described, in her letter to Marni Phillips, details of her husband's sexual relationship with her, including the birthmark on Steve's crotch and how at least she didn't have to worry about him knocking her up since he had a vasectomy.

Classy. It's actually worse than you think, too.

Steve Phillips blew this whistle on lover-turned-stalker Brooke Hundley. He also blew his marriage to Marni Phillips. This was after Brooke ... never mind.

Hundley accidentally smashed her car into a stone column while speeding away from the Phillips' home after leaving the letter, terrifying the family.

She also may have used an ESPN computer to contact and stalk Phillips' 16-year-old son on Facebook while posing as one of his high-school classmates.

"I have extreme concerns about the health and safety of my kids and myself," Steve Phillips said in a Wilton, Conn., police statement, adding that Brooke Hundley had become "obsessive and delusional" after he dumped her.

Steve Phillips is not pressing charges against her, but he is being sued himself - for divorce, by Marni Phillips, 40, with whom he has four sons.

Phillips has also been suspended for a week by ESPN because of the scandal.

These bombshell developments come nearly a decade after Phillips took a leave of absence as the Mets' GM for infidelity, which was almost as much of a hallmark of Phillips' tenure with the team as his bad personnel decisions.

One of several rumored affairs he had back then was with a team employee, Rosa Rodriguez, who sued Steve for sexual harassment in the late 1990s.
