As loyal celebrity gossip followers and ardent fans of Kim Kardashian, our staff was shocked by her break-up with Reggie Bush.

It sounds like we weren't alone.

"I loved them as a couple," Kim's close friend, Brittny Gastineau, told People yesterday afternoon. "I thought they were great. I always said that they were the same person. I never met a couple who were so great. They clicked well together."

Gastineau blamed the "hectic" schedule of both stars for the split, but added:

"They love each other so much, they're best friends, but whatever is meant to happen, happens."

Meanwhile, Kourtney Kardashian says her sister is doing okay.

"Kim is great. She is looking at houses. She is going to be living on her own," the star of an upcoming reality show with sister Khloe told In Touch Weekly.

Neither Brittny nor Kourtney offered suggestions about who Kim might date next. We thought she and Chris Brown might make a good pair, but readers don't seem to agree.

There have been many Miranda Kerr nude sightings over the last few weeks.

Whether she's getting naked for art (above link) or Rolling Stone, the model is simply gorgeous without any clothes on. (In related news, the sky is also blue.)

Therefore, it would seem as though useless socialite Brittny Gastineau stands no chance at knocking Kerr off in the following fashion face-off, based on both celebrities' attendance at the 2009 ESPY Awards.

But, to steal a sports phrase, that's why they play the games!

Who looked better at the ESPY Awards?

Kim Kardashian spent her Tuesday afternoon shopping in Beverly Hills, doing her best to stimulate the economy.

After shopping at Harmony Lane, Karshashian and gal pal Brittny Gastineau headed over to Coffee Bean to unwind after their tough day.

Kim and Brittny have been friends for a while now, which is surprising because Brittny has the personality of an umbrella. Oh well. Kim's hot.

Meanwhile, Khloe and Kourtney have left their sister all alone out in Kalifornia, now that the twosome is down in Miami, helping Kourtney find a date. Apparently, Kim doesn't seem too devastated by their departure.

Brittny Gastineau has a message for celebrity gossip lovers:

Prepare for the cutest babies in the history of the world!

The socialite, who starred in E!'s Gastineau Girls, told Us Weekly that good friend Kim Kardashian and boyfriend Reggie Bush have wedding bells and dirty diapers in their future.

"I think Kim and Reggie are definitely going to get married and have babies," Gastineau said at a club opening yesterday. "They’re going to have the cutest babies ever. They really are."

Ouch, Honor Marie. Pretend you didn't hear that.

So, which side of the couple will these adorable children look like? Gastineau said it won't matter.

"They both have very similar smiles. Their kid is going to have a million-dollar smile."

Hmmm, only one million dollars?!? Based on the financial background of Brittny's family, sounds like she's actually insulting Kim's future baby with that comment.

Other celebs that supposedly traded in penis for vagina - at least for the duration of a headline being written about the switch - in 2008 included Aubrey O'Day, Brittny Gastineau and, of course, Lindsay Lohan.

The outbreak of temporary carpet munching has grown so severe that MTV has created a reality series out of it. The Ikki Twins, Rikki and Vikki, wouldn't have jobs at the moment if they didn't consider women among potential suitors on A Double Shot at Love.

Will this trend continue in 2009? Millions of guys certainly hope so!

Uh-oh, Tila Tequila. Should you be worried?

Rumored girlfriend Courtenay Semel - fresh off a citation for battery - was spotted out in Hollywood with Brittny Gastineau this weekend.

The daughter of former New York Jets defensive end football player Mark Gastineau, Brittny spells her named stupidly.

She also starred in the short-lived reality series Gastineau Girls before signing on to the same show that made Semel (sort of) famous: Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive.

In order to garner attention, Paris Hilton has already starred in a sex tape, put out a music video and spent time in jail.

What else is a talentless socialite to do in order to remain in the celebrity gossip news? Pretend to be gay, of course.

Previously, Hilton was spotted out with The L Word star Katherine Moennig.

Now, reports are surfacing that she and former reality star Brittny Gastineau were hitting up "lesbian hot spots" over the weekend. If true, this couple would be faker than Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.
