Britney Spears to Joey Fatone: Ding dang! I gon' git ma drink on, y'all!

Well, that's what we imagine she's saying, at least. Pretty much all the time.

According to People, former *NSync-er and Dancing with the Stars runner-up Joey Fatone is offering his pal, the troubled Britney Spears, a reprieve.

"Britney, call me, come over to my house, come to Orlando, get away from it all," Joey Fatone told Extra. "It's a good thing to get out of L.A."

Last weekend, the embattled pop star spent time in Atlanta for some reason after crying a river after being charged with a hit-and-run in Los Angeles.

Britney Spears is working on a comeback with a new album due out in November. But she's suffered a series of setbacks, such as sucking at the MTV Video Music Awards and her public battle with ex-husband K-Fed over custody of their two little sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

"I think Britney just needs some time, to really heal," says Fatone, who has known Spears for many years. The current Singing Bee host was also a member of N' Sync with Spears' former flame, Justin Timberlake.

Joey Fatone hasn't seen Britney Spears in some time, but has a message for his old friend: "If you're there, let me know. I'm here for you, sweetheart."

When Britney Spears left a recording studio in Burbank, Calif., last night, she apparently needed to take the edge off. We're talking right away.

As Britney sat down in the passenger seat of her white Mercedes, her assistant, BFF and possible cousin, Alli Sims clandestinely handed her a margarita ... in front of, oh, about 50 members of the celebrity news media. Give or take.

One would think that since a judge ordered Britney to undergo random drug and alcohol testing that she might lay off the booze... at least a little. Or in the car. With four dozen photographers surrounding her. Wow.

Putting aside the fact that this is exactly the kind of asinine behavior that has left Britney on the cusp of losing custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James... this kind of thing is also, well, not legal. To quote California state law ...

"Section 23223 (b): No passenger shall have in his or her possession, while in a motor vehicle upon a highway or on lands... any bottle, can, or other receptacle containing any alcoholic beverage that has been opened or a seal broken, or the contents of which have been partially removed."

How many laws can Britney break in one week? How many tampons will she need the paparazzi to fetch for her? When will the next upskirt come? Stay tuned.

We know Britney Spears is perhaps the most famous public restroom user ever - who doesn't use the can at Quizno's while celebrity news photographers crowd outside?

Yet this week, the train wreck took it a step further, not only stopping to use the toilet at a public place, but inviting a member of the celebrity gossip media into the ladies' room with her, and reportedly, asking for help procuring a tampon. Amazing.

No, seriously, the topic of Britney Spears naked photos and their market value is being discussed by people other than us! Playboy has reportedly turned down the offer of a nude photo spread of  Spears, The National Ledger is reporting.

Britney reportedly was shopping a seven-figure deal to take it all off for the iconic adult magazine, but Hugh Hefner was only willing to part with $400,000. 

Only $400,000? Just call her Enron of nude photos! Five years ago, Britney Spears was reportedly offered a whopping $2 million to pose naked in Playboy.

A source told the Ledger that photos of Britney with no underwear on taken by paparazzi, along with her woeful performance at the MTV Video Music Awards this month, had dramatically lowered the asking price.

"You would be delusional if you think anyone out there is going to pay giant bucks to see [Britney Spears nude]," the source said. "She's already bared way too much flesh while out partying for that to happen. Not anymore."

It's true. You know the old adage. Why buy the cow when you and every other celebrity news site on the Internets can have the milk for free? So to speak.

Britney Spears' pants where probably off somewhere, but her custody battle was totally back on - in a courtroom again Monday afternoon.

Kevin Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, and Britney Spears' newest attorney, Sorrell Trope, met behind closed doors in an L.A. court.

The goal? To "refine certain areas" of the judge's order last week that has Spears required to submit to random drug tests twice a week, as well as to periodic alcohol testing, and to undergo parenting classes.

Trope said that judge Scott Gordon the order putting the new custody-related restrictions in place. Trope did not say when the testing would go into effect.

The custody hearing comes on the heels of:

• Friday's filing of misdemeanor hit-and-run charges against the alleged singer by the L.A. city attorney, stemming from a previous incident.
• The testimony of former bodyguard Tony Barretto that he saw Britney Spears abuse drugs and alcohol, endangering her two kids.

Mark Vincent Kaplan said he does not expect the filing of the charges last week to impact the scheduled November 26 hearing on Kevin Federline's request to increase his custody time with the former couple's two young sons.

They currently split 50-50 custody of sons Sean Preston Federline, 2, and Jayden James Federline, 1. When Britney's not neglecting them, of course.

In an interview with London's News of the World, Britney Spears' former bodyguard Tony Barretto claims the troubled star nearly suffered a drug overdose following her rehab stint last spring.

Tony Barretto recently filed a declaration detailing his former employer's drug and alcohol use in the child custody case between Spears and her former husband, Kevin Federline.

His account persuaded a worried judge to order Britney to be tested for drugs twice a week. Not shocking, given Barretto's dramatic account of how Britney...

• OVERDOSED in a drug-strewn hotel room on a binge with junkie lover Howie Day just days after leaving rehab. "She was in a bad state, sweating and shaking. Her pupils were huge... we thought she was dying," said Tony.
• SNORTED cocaine clandestinely with pals in a trendy L.A. club.
• ENDANGERED the lives of her kids by being under the influence of drugs and booze at home while Sean Preston and Jayden James were there.

The enormous Tony Barretto, standing 6'7" and pushing 300 pounds, earning the nickname "Fat Tony," says he decided to come forward because:

"Britney is out of control and needs help. I have done this for her children. She's not a good mother. She has mental problems. With her problems with drugs and booze, her home is no place for kids to be raised."

His remarks capped a nightmare week for Britney Spears in which she was dumped by her manager Jeff Kwatinetz and her lawyer.

She hired married dad-of-two Tony Barretto â€" a former private eye â€" days after checking out of Promises rehab facility in Malibu after one month on March 26, and publicly declaring she had beaten booze and drug problems.

Tony Barretto is a drugs expert after taking a 10 police course about their dangers. He realized Britney Spears' willpower was weak on the night of May 2, mere hours before the start of her "comeback mini-tour" in Anaheim.

On May 2, Britney Spears went on a date with musician Howie Day, 26, who she'd met in rehab, telling her worried protection team she didn't need them.

Tony Barretto said of the lame singer and drug addict: "We did security checks on Howie Day and told her he was trouble. But she ignored us."

Hours later, however, a hysterical, crying Britney, 25, called her aides, claiming that Day was refusing to let her leave their hotel room.

Isaac Cohen. J.R. Rotem. Matt Encinias. Criss Angel. So many men in Britney Spears' life have gotten to hit that and then run for the hills.

This particular Britney hit and run, though, is vehicular.

Officials say Spears has been charged with one count of hit and run causing property damage and one count of driving without a valid California license. Both charges are misdemeanors, each carrying a maximum of 6 months in jail.

She was also charged with five counts of clubbing in no underwear. Just kidding!

The charges stem from an August 6 incident in L.A. where Spears was in a private parking lot in the San Fernando Valley.

The Los Angeles City Attorney filed charges this afternoon. Britney Spears' arraignment is set for October 10.

The City Attorney sent the pop train wreck a letter notifying her of the charges. That letter was mailed earlier today.

The victim filed a police report at the LAPD North Hollywood Division on August 9 and filed a report.

After leaving her lawyer's office, Britney Spears drove over to a home in Bel Air. A neighbor says the home is owned by a nurse. No one knows why she went there. After that, she went to a pet store in Malibu, of course.

Pasadena attorney Richard Hutton, best known for representing Paris Hilton in her probation violation case earlier this year, says residents of the Golden State must get a California driver's license within their first 10 days as a resident.

Spears has been pulled over several times in recent years with being cited for the license violation. It's possible officers were persuaded she maintains a residence in Louisiana and Britney legitimately considers herself a Louisiana resident.

Overall, legal experts say, the charges are "minor stuff" and Britney Spears could escape with a modest fine and probation.

Probably nothing to worry about. When she violates that probation by driving drunk, which should happen in about 2-3 months, though, watch out!

Counting down the days until he can legally emancipate himself from his parents, the cute, troubled Sean Preston wears this distressed look quite often these days.

It's easy to see why. When Britney Spears isn't out until the wee hours at clubs with no underwear, she's blowing smoke in his face or putting Jayden James' pacifiers in her own mouth. And the court didn't give K-Fed sole custody?

She and Snoop Dogg have some really good lawyers.

When Britney Spears sat down with Tyra Banks on the Tyra Banks Show this week, well, the two had a nice little heart-to-heart. And then Banks went off on the singer for her disgraceful performances at the VMAs, and life.

Okay, not really. But this hilarious video uses clips of Tyra Banks from America's Next Top Model and Britney's tearful 2006 interview with Matt Lauer, making it appear as if Banks is berating Spears instead of some modeling aspirant.

Ever-mindful of his words, and a noted hater of celebrity gossip, Justin Timberlake is not one to say all that much about his romantic life.

But he bent that rule just a little bit to tell the Big O (Oprah Winfrey) about girlfriends past and present yesterday on her talk show.

"I'm dating someone," said the "SexyBack" singer, who has spent most of the year linked to Jessica Biel in the tabloids, on Wednesday.

While he never got around to naming his squeeze, Justin Timberlake was quoted as saying, "But all I can tell you is that she smells lovely."

Justin also admits, "I get pretty romantic around her," and says he sings to her - and, when he is on tour, communicates via an iChat webcam.

"Technology is a wonderful thing sometimes," Timberlake says. "I find that to be really cool, when you can actually see someone's face. I do it with my friends, as well, just to have a conversation back and forth. It makes you feel closer."

Timberlake and Biel were first linked at a Golden Globe afterparty in January, and in May. Last week, after his jam-packed Sunday night, the multiple MTV Video Music Award winner skipped the after-parties and opted for a laid-back dinner with his two favorite ladies: his mom and Biel.

At the outset of his career, in the mid-1990s, Timberlake was dating his Mickey Mouse Club costar, Britney Spears, though they split in 2002.

Since then, as we all know, Britney Spears' life, both personally and professionally, has been rocky and very well documented.

"What do you think is going on with Britney?" Winfrey asked Timberlake.

"I don't know, to be honest with you," he responded. "I haven't spoken to her in years. I mean, there's no ill will ... I have nothing but love for her. It's funny because we dated each other at a time ... wow, I haven't talked about this in a long time. It's interesting."

Pressed by Winfrey to get what he has to say off his chest, Justin Timberlake went on to say, "We were teenagers, you know?"

"Yes," Winfrey affirms, "famous teenagers."

"I think that's basically the best way to describe what happened to us," Justin said. "I think she's a great person, and I don't know her as well as I did. What I do know about her is she has a huge heart, and she is a great person."
