K-Fed Draggin' Britney Back to Court Again, Yo

Inspired by recent events of lunacy, Kevin Federline and his attorney are once again dragging the great Britney Spears back into court for an emergency custody hearing, a session which will take place on Friday in L.A. Superior Court.

Spears' attorney, Anne Kiley, confirmed to Us Weekly that Kevin Federline's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, has requested a hearing to address Spears' running of a red light with her two kids in the back seat on November 8.

A court-appointed monitor was also in the car, cowering in fear.

The couple's most recent (and amusing) court appearance came last Thursday, when it was revealed that Spears failed to take - and thus failed, in the court's eyes - eight of 14 drug tests that are both random and required by the court.

Spearedex

Court commissioner Scott Gordon ordered Britney Spears to get a single, working telephone number where she could be called for future tests.

No word on whether the insane one has compiled with that order. Where do they expect Britney Spears to pay for that? It's not like she's saving any money.

The Britney Spears Retirement Plan

In case you missed it, some bombshell news came out of the personal finance world last week, Money Magazine reports. No, not the Federal Reserve's prime interest rate cut or the record-breaking price of crude oil nearing $100 a barrel.

We're talking about Britney Spears. Girl isn't saving for retirement!

Although the 25-year old pop star is hauling in some $737,000 a month from album sales, royalties and endorsements, she's not saving or investing a penny.

More than $100,000 a month goes to entertainment, gifts and vacations.

The VMA Performance

While most of us may be shocked by such excesses, Britney Spears' spending habits are actually pretty normal. The majority of American 20-somethings don't save.

Assuming the mother of Sean Preston and Jayden James could somehow scrape by on 70-80 percent of her pre-retirement income while in retirement - or just about $590,000 a month in today's dollars - Spears would have to put away a mere 8 percent of her earnings to save over $300 million by age 65.

Britney Spears to Auction Off Autographed "Blackout" CD

And now for a rare piece of Britney Spears news that doesn't involve any sort of court proceeding or upskirt / crotch shot photo. Yes, it's true.

The alleged singer is auctioning off a signed copy her new album, Blackout, on eBay, partnering with a celebrity picture agency in that endeavor.

Britney Spears and celebrity photo agency X17 will donate proceeds from the sale to the children's rights group UNICEF.

"I think it's important to give back and with the release of Blackout, this seemed like the perfect opportunity to give the fans a chance to bid on something to help children everywhere," Spears told her partner X17.

Best Mom of All Time

Britney Spears: Always one to give back. And wear pants.

The highest bid as of 5 p.m. Monday? $715. Which is nice and all, but with Brit's $737,000 monthly income, if she wanted to give back, she might be able to do a decent job of it while skipping this whole charade.

Anyway, you had better act fast: The auction ends November 19. You can bid on this mediocre album and support a good cause by clicking here.

Britney Spears' Positive Drug Test Sparks Controversy

A source connected to Britney Spears says she tested positive in one of her recent drug exams, although the source says it was a false positive.

"The only thing that comes on the results are the prescriptions, that the court doctor prescribed," the source close to Spears added, "There has been no illegal drugs or even alcohol in any of the test results."

Britney Spears is seeing a psychiatrist as part of her ongoing custody case. That could be what the source was talking about with respect to the court doctor.

There are reports that Britney's positive drug test last week was due to Provigil, a prescription for treatment of narcolepsy. It turns out this is not the case.

In generic drug testing ordered by the courts - the type performed on Britney Spears - there is not a special screening used to detect Provigil.

The tests actually performed on Britney Spears (at least until last week) all came back negative, and she had been taking Provigil before that. Strange.

Meanwhile, Kevin Federline's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, has contacted TMZ to notify the celebrity news site that he will subpoena a story it posted late last week about Britney running a red light in her Mercedes.

Mark Vincent Kaplan wants the tape for a court appearance Wednesday.

The story, which ran Friday on TMZ, shows Britney - her kids in the back and the court-appointed monitor ducking in horror in the front - blowing through a red light at an extremely dangerous intersection on Thursday night.

A close look at Britney Spears photos from that incident shows her holding a phone up to her face seconds before running the light - as if sending a text message.

Britney Spears Shops For Sean Preston, Jayden James

It looks like Jayden James and Sean Preston Federline may be getting a makeover... or at least appearing in the mind of Britney Spears from time to time.

The "singer" stopped and shopped 'til she frickin' dropped Friday afternoon in Bel Bambini, spending more than $2,000 on her sons in the L.A. baby boutique.

Shop

Among Britney Spears' purchases were white and black tuxedos for each boy. And four pairs of dress shoes. Aww. Going to be attending a formal event, lil' guys?

That's all very cute. We love Sean and Jayden. It's nice to see that while she's not running red lights with them in the car, Brit is paying them some attention!

No word on whether Britney bought any pants or underwear for herself during the excursion. Our guess is she did not. Girl doesn't have much use for either.

Britney Spears Speeds Through Red Light; Court Monitor Recoils in Terror; Sean Preston Dozes in Back Seat

Man, certain people just shouldn't be allowed to operate a car. Specifically teenagers, people over the age of 80 and Britney Spears.

Yesterday evening, Britney Spears blew past a red light - at a notoriously dangerous intersection no less - with Sean Preston Federline fast asleep in the back and the court-appointed monitor ducking for cover in the passenger seat.

Check out the amazing celebrity photo by Splash News of the incident:

OMG I Blew Thru a Red Light Y

Britney Spears endangers the lives of everyone in her Benz, as well as other motorists, as the monitor overseeing her visits with Sean P. and Jayden James ducks for cover.

The walking/driving train wreck approached the light on Coldwater Canyon slowly, then raised her cellphone to her face. It is not clear if Britney was, like, OMFG, sending a txt msg or making a call, and it is not known to whom.

Britney then drove into the intersection as someone outside screamed, "Red light, red light!" Spears turned left onto Mulholland Drive, managing to miss oncoming traffic and not get killed. Magical... downright Criss Angel-esque!

The judge in Britney's custody case made it clear that he has issues with Spears' driving. Scott Gordon has already temporarily revoked her visits with Sean and Jayden because she was driving without a valid license.

Yesterday, K-Fed's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, asked the judge to forbid Britney from driving when Sean Preston and Jayden James with her. Gordon said he'd ponder that suggestion and make his ruling on it by November 26.

Expect Mark Vincent Kaplan to call for an emergency hearing within the hour.

Lawyer: You Don't Know What it's Like to Be Britney!

An irresponsible Britney Spears has not responded to eight of 14 random drug tests (or requests for them), Kevin Federline's attorney said Thursday.

Saying the mother of Sean Preston and Jayden James is living in a "parallel universe," Mark Vincent Kaplan told the court that the singer was reprimanded three times by Commissioner Scott Gordon for failing to be reachable by phone.

"Mr. Federline doesn't want to take these two small children out of their mother's life, but what else are we to do?" Mark Vincent Kaplan said.

Spears' lawyer, Anne Kiley, called the drug testing "unconstitutional" and added that just because the singer fails to undergo testing doesn't mean she's actually using drugs. Kiley noted that Britney Spears has passed multiple tests.

Spederline Style

Kiley also noted - to laughter from everyone present - that the judge in the custody case just doesn't understand what it's like to be Britney Spears!

The high-powered attorney told the judge her troubled client has received calls as early as 8:00 a.m. Kiley said pop stars don't get up that early, adding, "You are not a pop star with a number one album, so you don't know!"

The courtroom erupted in laughter.

Nevertheless, the Commissioner ordered both attorneys to reconvene at 10:30 a.m. PST to hammer out a new plan for insane Britney to take tests. Stay tuned.

The Verdict is in: Britney Spears is Insane!

Days after a judge ruled that Britney Spears could only spend three days a week with her children, she reacted by leaving her two kids in her parked car with a court-appointed monitor (whose job description apparently does not include babysitting) as she shopped for $18,200 worth of chandeliers.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Why does Britney Spears â€" even after having custody of her kids taken away â€" keep exhibiting such bizarre, highly questionable behavior when it comes to parenting? Simple: She's frickin' nuts, reports the newest Us Weekly!

Sources say the troubled pop "singer" does not seem to grasp the gravity of her custody case (there's a shock), and they blame her bizarre public behavior  - her swapping clothes with a stranger, frequent trips to the L.A. club scene wearing no underwear, etc. - on psychological issues, not drugs.

Britney Spears is Sick!

"It's not substance abuse â€" it's mental!" a confidante says of Britney Spears.

Some suspect adult-onset ADD or depression, with one friend (Alli Sims? Sam Lutfi? Shannon Funk? Lucy Walsh?) saying, "Postpartum has always been a problem" after giving birth to Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1.

Court Says Britney Spears Must Pay K-Fed Legal Fees; Singer Parks in Handicapped Spot While Fake Tanning

A court has ordered that Britney Spears must pay $120,000 in legal fees to her upstanding ex-husband, Kevin Federline, in their ongoing custody battle.

In documents released Tuesday, L.A. County Commissioner Scott Gordon told Spears to pay all but $40,000 of K-Fed's stated $160,000 in legal fees.

The decision was made based on the former couple's income - as a "recording artist," Britney Spears claims average earnings of over $737,000 a month, but "self employed" FedEx has stated he has no net income after expenses.

Britney and Kevin Fight!

Kevin Federline currently receives from Spears $15,000 in child support, and $20,000 a month in spousal support, which expires on November 15.

Not a good day for Britney Spears, who in addition to getting socked with Kevin's legal bills, parked her Mercedes illegally in a handicapped spot.

Apparently in a huge rush to get her $29 fake tan session underway at her home away from home - Tanning Plus in Studio City, Calif. - Britney Spears just couldn't muster the strength to park legally a few feet away.

Inside, a tanning manager named Annette told Us Weekly, "[Britney] said she was a little tired, but she was happy. She said she sure loves the sun!"

Capped

Enough to face a $500 fine? Maybe that's why she hustled out of the store with her "cousin" Alli Sims, 26, quickly after a 20-minute fake n' bake job.

Oh, and despite previous reports this morning by The Hollywood Gossip, it looks like Britney's new album, Blackout, didn't top the charts after all.

Blackout sold roughly 290,000 copies in its first week, coming in at No. 2 on the charts behind The Eagles' Long Road Out of Eden, which sold 711,000.

By comparison, Carrie Underwood, who owes her fame to a 2005 American Idol win, sold 527,000 copies of Carnival Ride in the week of its release.

Rare Good Britney Spears News: "Blackout" to Hit #1

Every now and then, a ray of light reaches Britney Spears' otherwise dim world. Her album, Blackout, will finish at No. 1 this week, according to analysts.

It's a rare Britney Spears news story when there is no drunken rant, court date, dude hit by a car or upskirt / nude photo(s) mentioned. No, her newest disc has provided real positive news - between 325,000-350,000 units sold already!

That's enough to put the "star" at the top of the charts, just ahead of past former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood â€" at least this week.

Blackout

Blackout: Topping the charts for Britney Spears.

Of course, Britney Spears' previous album, In the Zone, sold 609,000 units right out of the gate. To use another American Idol comparison, Chris Daughtry sold about 309,000 in his self-titled album's first week in stores.

Although Spears' first single from Blackout, "Gimme More," has inexplicably been getting a lot of radio play, it's unclear what single will come next - and whether it can generate any ensuing buzz for the album.

And, of course, whether it will be overshadowed by the next Britney Spears crotch shot, custody hearing or celebrity news reporter run over by her car.
