Things have been going well for Britney Spears.

She's gotten her career back on track, she now enjoys shared custody of her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, and her bikini body looks as amazing as ever.

She even managed to find a new man in Jason Trawick, who some believe may have popped the question already (judging by the engagement ring she's wearing).

New rumors, however, suggest that Britney and Jason's relationship may have taken the opposite turn. Jason supposedly feels like they are moving too fast.

“It was just too fast, too soon for Jason,” said a source close to her. “He told Britney repeatedly that he would never marry her, but she refused to believe him."

“She thought she could change his mind by having a baby with him.”

Note that the source is the National Enquirer. While that fine publication is to be believed when it writes about Rielle Hunter, on other topics it is quite suspect.

One thing that's not suspect? Britney Spears pictures in which she wears a pink bikini and goes swimming in an L.A.-area pool. She looks great. Enough said.

The circus just got a lot more talented.

Jordin Sparks announced last week that she's joining Britney Spears for the second leg of the latter's North American Circus Tour. Said the American Idol champion:

"Britney's show is incredible and for me to be a part of it is a great opportunity,"

Sparks will perform on the U.S. portion of the tour, which includes concerts in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Philly, Miami, Detroit, Chicago and Las Vegas.

We wonder if Britney is afraid of being overshadowed by Sparks. Or if she even knows who Sparks is. Or has a clue what time zone she's currently in.

In honor of the hot 2009 Teen Choice Awards this past week, we thought we would bust out this classic, musically historic blast from that award show's past.

The year? 2006. Britney Spears? Pregnant. Kevin Federline? Trying to jump start his new rap career. Which began and ended with this very live performance.

Here's K-Fed "rapping" at the Teen Choice Awards. Try not to "Lose Control" at the sight of the video, as it's at least an 8.5 on the unintentional comedy meter.

Also funny? Dane Cook was apparently the host that year as well. Luckily, the Vanessa Hudgens nude scandal(s) hadn't yet taken place for him to joke about.

It's just a ring, guys. Stop making stuff up and trying to stir up controversy, guys. This story is complete BS. You're just jealous. Leave Britney alone!!

It is undeniably true that as celebrity gossip purveyors, we meticulously analyze every detail, sometimes overly so. But we are forced to ask again:

Engaged to Jason Trawick or not, something certainly has our girl in a good mood these days (something besides her daily cocktail of anti-depressants).

Spears strolled through L.A. with a friend smiling all the while before hopping into her Porsche Boxster with her assistant and driving away happily.

A guy popping the question will do that.

As Britney Spears prepares to hit the road next week for her second Circus concert tour of North America in less than nine months, the pop star - and mother of two foul-mouthed brats - managed to get her body looking better than ever.

Britney herself is thrilled with her own transformation, according to OK!

A source says that Spears, who flaunted her toned physique in a barely-there white Eres bikini for an August 6 photo shoot in L.A. - just loves her new figure.

“Britney used to hate her body when she looked in the mirror,” a longtime pal of the singer, who is now dating her agent, Jason Trawick, says. “But last week she sent pictures home to [her mom] Lynne and wrote, ‘Look how good I look!’”

If Britney Spears' sons language is any indication, Sean Preston and Jayden James are quickly following in their white trash dad's classy footsteps.

While the star picked up goodies at a swag suite last week, to honor the peeps at the Teen Choice Awards, her kids made quite the impression.

Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2, repeatedly yelled, "Oh $h!t!"

Not that this is a surprise. This sort of thing comes from upbringing, and they spend most of their time in a house with K-Fed and Victoria Prince.

Not that people were mortified. They are still cute, after all.

"We were all surprised by their potty mouths, but it was actually pretty funny," one Sean P. onlooker acknowledged to the New York Daily News.

How did Britney Spears respond to her sons' foul-mouthed antics? "She was too busy picking out freebies to chastise the boys for misbehaving."

Sounds about right.

The 2009 Teen Choice Awards were taped last night (the broadcast is this evening), and treated us to an eye-popping fashion bonanza as usual.

Britney Spears is back in a bikini, and that's a good thing.

The 27-year-old mother of Sean Preston and Jayden James showed no sign of having given birth to two children when she stripped down to a white bikini during a photo shoot at the Ritz Carlton in Los Angeles on yesterday afternoon.

Late last year, Spears, who will be performing at the Teen Choice Awards Monday night, started intense training to ready for her worldwide Circus tour.

The pop star reportedly shed 20 pounds, thanks to two-hour cardio-and-strength-training workouts three times a week (on top of dance rehearsals).

It's amazing what a radical transformation Britney has undergone, having seen her career almost dwindle away to nothing before coming back better than ever.
