Adnan Ghalib, Sam Lutfi Face Further Legal Woes

While Britney Spears is busy getting accosted by drunk fans on her Circus tour, a couple of her former clowns are starring in their own shows in L.A.

Spears' ex-manager Sam Lutfi and former boyfriend Adnan Ghalib appeared in separate hearings yesterday. Both shady hangers-on have already been banned from further contact with their former meal ticket through at least 2012.

Now the courts are sorting through the legal fallout.

Sam Lutfi fared considerably better than Adnan Ghalib, as a Superior Court judge set a trial date of March 8, 2010, for the former manager's lawsuit claiming defamation and unpaid fees against Spears and her parents, Jamie and Lynne.

Lawyers for both Lutfi and Jamie and Lynne Spears say they will spend the next 10 months attempting to resolve the case outside of court.

But in case that doesn't work out, they have a game plan. An attorney for Jamie Spears said that a countersuit may be filed against Lutfi.

Lynne Spears' attorney, meanwhile, said that he will likely seek to dismiss the portion of Sam Lutfi's lawsuit that's directed against her.

The grounds for that claim? That his allegation of defamation based on her new memoir, Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World, is actually an infringement on Lynne Spears' right to free speech.

Particularly, her right to freely criticize whomever she chooses, especially when they play as large a part as Lutfi appeared to in the downfall of her daughter.

The trial date comes just days after Lutfi filed an appeal against a judge's extension of the restraining order obtained against him by the Spears family.

Crazy Britney Spears Fan Rushes the Stage

As if a crazy stalker trespassing on her property wasn't enough, a man has been arrested after jumping on stage during Britney Spears' latest Circus concert.

The venue was Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut.

Connecticut State Police say Kyle King, 20, who had definitely been drinking, charged on stage during Britney's encore performance of "Womanizer."

Security and Britney Spears' backup dancers accosted King before he could come in contact with her, and he was arrested for breach of peace.

The CSP says after Kyle King was taken into custody, he was being highly uncooperative - so they also booked him for interfering with police.

He was released this morning after paying a $250 bond and is due in Norwich Superior Court on June 18. It was definitely worth it, right Kyle?

Check out the video of the incident below, in which Britney Spears freaks out and the grinds to screeching halt after seeing King on stage.

Pay attention around the 2:10 mark ...

Follow the jump for another angle, in which you can see how fast her security and dancers sprung into action. Blink and you might even miss it:

Meet the Cast of the Britney Spears Circus Tour

The Circus tour photos we've posted over the past two months give you a pretty good idea of the elaborate nature of Britney Spears' world concert extravaganza.

But who are the people who assist the ring leader in putting on the show night after night? The video below introduces each of the singer's awesome sidekicks.

Among them? Her rumored boy toy Chase Benz, who introduces himself - shirtless! - around the 3:30 mark. All in all, seems like a lively, fun crew Brit's got ...

Sam Lutfi Appeals Ruling, Says Britney Initiated Contact

A judge recently extended Britney Spears' restraining order against former manager Sam Lutfi through 2012, but don't expect him to go quietly into the night.

Lutfi has filed an appeal challenging the ruling and denying that there is a legal need to keep him 100 feet from the embattled pop superstar at all times.

Bryan Freedman, his attorney, told E! News that his client is fighting the order because, contrary to what Spears' camp claims, she initiated contact with him.

"There was absolutely no evidence whatsoever that Britney Spears was suffering substantial emotional distress as required by the statute," said Freedman.

"In fact, the evidence was just the opposite," the attorney added. "It was Britney reaching out for Sam's help, and all Sam did was get her a lawyer."

"There is no evidence of threats or stalking or anything whatsoever."

Freedman argued in the appeal, filed Wednesday, that Sam Lutfi never threatened or harassed Britney Spears, and claimed that he was only laboring at her behest.

"We believe the appellate court will overturn the ruling," Freedman said.

"Restraining orders were created for stalkers and people who make threats, and the only evidence in this whole case was that Sam sent 10 text messages to the hairdresser - none of which were threatening, vulgar, mean or anything else."

He said Sam Lutfi was simply looking out for Spears' best interests and that he doubted the singer herself felt there was a need for the permanent order.

"Sam got her a lawyer, and facilitated his sister, and she requested getting her a cell phone," he said. "If Britney Spears wanted this restraining order herself, why didn't she testify, come to court, send a letter to the judge or do anything?"

A judge's ruling that Britney Spears, who is under a legal conservatorship headed by her father, Jamie Spears, and attorney Andrew Wallet, "lacks the capacity" to testify is apparently not a good enough excuse for Freedman.

Jon Eardley, the attorney who tried unsuccessfully to torpedo the conservatorship, was also named in the restraining order and told to keep away. Adnan Ghalib, Spears' ex-boyfriend, is similarly barred from contact until 2012.

Sam Lutfi Hit with Three-Year Restraining Order

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Aviva Bobb issued a three-year restraining order against Britney Spears' former manager, Sam Lutfi, on Tuesday.

Jon Eardley, a lawyer who has repeatedly challenged the validity of Jamie Spears' legal control over Britney, was also slapped with the same ban.

Both individuals must stay at least 100 yards away from Britney, her sons Jayden James and Sean Preston, and her family members' homes, and must not harass with Britney and/or her children, or contact them via phone, mail and email.

It also prohibits them from "acting on Ms. Spears's behalf or purporting to act on her behalf." The orders, however, do not specifically protect Jamie and Britney's mother, Lynne Spears, which Jamie had also sought to ensure.

The singer's father, who initially filed the request on January 30, alleged that both men have harassed his daughter, adding that Sam Lutfi arranged the smuggling of a cell phone to the troubled pop star recently at a hotel.

Just a F%$king Scumbag

SAYONARA: Sam Lutfi's attorney, Bryan Freedman, said he will appeal.

"We absolutely will appeal this ruling," he said." Never before has a restraining order been issued against someone who answered another person's cries for help."

The order followed several hearings in which Spears' father, hairstylist, bodyguard, and others testified that the Circus performer was in fear of Sam Lutfi.

In his defense, his younger sister Christina Lutfi testified that it was Britney who hatched the cell phone scheme because she allegedly wanted Lutfi's help.

Rumors have persisted for months that the singer wants to torpedo her father's conservatorship, which has been in place since she went bat$h!t in early 2008.

One report even suggested that Jamie is drugging her. For now, at least, the court seems firmly on the side of her father and his legal conservatorship.

Lutfi's unrelated lawsuit against the Spears family for defamation and battery, as well as for many thousands of dollars in back wages, is still pending.

Britney Spears Wardrobe Malfunction of the Day

THG NOTE: This one isn't pretty.

The rumors that some dude got Britney Spears pregnant were already refuted by her camp, but in case you weren't sure, well, this clears it up beyond a doubt.

And not in a pleasant way.

Perhaps when the singer proclaimed that her p*ssy was hanging out at one of her recent shows, we should have been grateful it wasn't ... something else.

We knew Britney, who has battled addiction, depression and various hangers-on to return to stardom, was going through a vicious cycle, but not like this.

Wonder if this is the first time Chase Benz - the backup dancer seen here, and Brit's reported boy toy - has ever run into this roadblock before ...

Britney Spears Gives Us Sweet Dreams

Those of us who have been lucky enough to see the Britney Spears Circus tour in person can't forget the sublimely sexy "Sweet Dreams" video that plays on the giant screens during the "Freakshow" section of the ringleader's performance.

Here's a video shot at one of Britney's concerts, featuring the singer in various stages of ... well, see for yourself ... as Marilyn Manson's hit "Sweet Dreams" echoes through the arena. All part of this family-friendly tour, ladies and gents:

Britney Spears channels her inner Marilyn Manson. We are slightly afraid.

We just hope K-Fed is playing with Sean Preston and Jayden James elsewhere rather than sitting front row during this. As if they aren't scarred for life as it is.

She sure can put on a show, though, as she says. For more images from Britney's recent concert in Oakland, click to enlarge the awesome pictures below ...

Britney Spears Losing Her Hair, Mind

Poor Britney Spears.

It's already been a tough enough week for her, with rumors of her dad drugging her and that someone knocked her up with her third child. That was false, but she still could have done without this latest wardrobe malfunction.

In this video, a male dancer - possibly strapping hunk Chase Benz, it's hard to see behind that S&M mask - accidentally rips out a piece of her weave.

It's not that embarrassing or anything, but now everyone knows her hair is fake, y'all! As if the famous head-shaving hadn't cleared that up long ago.

Anyway, peep the memorable Circus tour moment below. Hey, it's better screaming "rock out with your c*cks out" or giving props to the wrong city:

THG SIDE NOTE: Hair malfunction aside, WTF is going here? Parents actually bring teens and 'tweens to this? It's one step away from being that sick, scrambled porno on the premium cable channel that doesn't come in but you watch anyway.
