Bridgit Mendler: The Next Miley Cyrus?
You may not be familiar with Bridgit Mendler.
But, trust us, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez certainly are - and each young star is scared to death of this rising actress!
Mendler has been chosen by the Disney Channel as its next teen icon. She's signed on to anchor Good Luck Charlie, a sitcom that will premiere in 2010 and co-star Jason Dolley.
"We just fell in love with her," Adam Bonnett, senior VP of original programming at Disney Channel, told The Hollywood Reporter. "She has all the attributes of a Disney star."
Mendler has appeared in two episodes on JONAS, playing a love interest of Nick Jonas. See, we told you told Miley had reasons to be scared of her!
She'll also soon guest star alongside Gomez on Wizards of Waverly Place.
So, does Bridgit Mendler have what it takes to be the next Miley Cyrus? As long as she's willing to don a pair of hooker boots for an Elle photo shoot, anything is possible.
